Thanks Gemily. That was really useful. I'll probably dig through my glasses archive to check the exact prescription for my strongest pair of glasses and a couple before starting my EM journey.
Excellent! I felt so indignant when I discovered that optometrists can refuse to tell you what correction you are wearing because you got them 2 years ago. This solves my problem. :)
Hi Gem, This is excellent! So you know you have minus 3 glasses. Jake proved the excessive prescription hypothesis. The 3rd line down is 20/70. You should mark your Snellen, and report 20/70. I certainly did this on my Snellen. Now the major issue. A minus one, will give you 20/40 on this Snellen, in bright light. Jake talks reduced minus. I totally agree. You can get them from Zennioptical for $12. Why not? You can buy two, a -2D for $25. This is what I am doing. Basically, no glasses most of time. Then, very slowly to 20/40 or pass the DMV. Why not?
Thanks gem, the app is great I could measure my first ever glasses. I forgot, at what prescription I started wearing glasses, this website is awesome!! Some glasses are hard to measure as they have few scratches and frame was bent little bit. Otherwise great app!
Wow, really impressive. This is very helpful and I might give that app a go. Thanks for the video! Also, very cool cello in the background! Any chance of hearing you play in a video one day? 🎶👓
Very cool! Has Endmyopia affected your cello playing? I play both piano and violin, and I count music reading as close-up so I only allow myself 20-30 minutes at a time, while wearing differentials, with breaks. I used to play for 2-3 hours straight.
Yeah, I too feel like reading music is a lot of close up.... I really love music, but for the time being it is taking a back seat. Even for print pushing.... I don't have time to be clearing blur while trying to play (unless there are a LOT of rests in the piece XD ). On the other hand... if it is something that gets you away from a screen, it isn't static close up, so it probably isn't so bad.
Hey.. i actually tried looking up a lot but never got a good answer.. i actually have only cylindrical powers in both eyes and no spherical power.. so in my case how do I apply end myopia method? . Just to be specific my left eye cyl is -3 and right eye is -3.75 .. pls help!
Hello everyone. I was wondering, why is it that from my personal experience, I get ciliary spasm with very little screen time (5 min) very easily at night when I use my devices more in the day and I take a significantly longer time to get ciliary spasm?
I've never had glasses😳 & I have perfect eyesight🤩‼ But my best friend🤓 has had glasses since he was 8! Maybe he😎 should be watching this instead of me😊! Oh well, nice video anyway, in MY naked eyes 👁👁‼

Hi Gem,
A great help.
Thanks.

You are so welcome!
Hi Gem,

A big step.
I always check the lens I am using.
Now at 20/30 and better.
Thanks gem, the app is great I could measure my first ever glasses. I forgot, at what prescription I started wearing glasses, this website is awesome!!

Very interesting, thank you for the video! 👍
Wow, super useful. Going to go and try it now !! Thanks.
Good Lord. It actually works. What kind of magic is this ... ?
Yes.
Now at 20/50, going to 20/20.
Wow, really impressive. This is very helpful and I might give that app a go. Thanks for the video! Also, very cool cello in the background! Any chance of hearing you play in a video one day? 🎶👓
Haha, maybe in the faaar distance future.
Its accurate
Hi Gem,
This is great stuff.
I think you should teach yourself to become an OPTOMETRIST.
You know as much as they do!
That is my attitude!
That is neat. Looks quite tricky to manage but still neat
The first one I tried was easy, then I suddenly became unco. XD I managed to get them all done though! Pretty stoked.
Great great great thanks you!!!!!

says the app isn't compatible with my phone :(
Hello everyone. I was wondering, why is it that from my personal experience, I get ciliary spasm with very little screen time (5 min) very easily at night when I use my devices more in the day and I take a significantly longer time to get ciliary spasm?
I use a plus to reduce spasm.
I've never had glasses😳 & I have perfect eyesight🤩‼ But my best friend🤓 has had glasses since he was 8! Maybe he😎 should be watching this instead of me😊! Oh well, nice video anyway, in MY naked eyes 👁👁‼
Hi Eyes,
My wife has 20/20.
I was nearsighted.
People with 20/20, never understand, with all due respect!
