As a lifelong student of classical piano, I'm now using your tips to learn this style. It's so fun! Adding a few "twiddly bits" of Chopin works wonders as well.
Love this turnaround! It's a tad above my competence level , but I can tell that judicious use of the pause button will help me get there, and I'm looking forward to it. Thanks so much for sharing this lesson, Dr K, and camera person for showing me what he's actually playing :)
Nicking a riff from a great player isn't stealing. I once heard that if you're not stealing riffs you're not learning. Anyway this is what we're all doing from you Maestro.
It's probably too much work but I have a suggestion. I can tell that the camera person thinks as I do that you are sometimes too fast but then when you slow it down the rhythm is lost. How about a piano key midi feed at tempo. We will be then able to see what notes are being hit more clearly with less pausing and rewinding.
Dr K thank you so much I have really improved my boogie boogie skills all thanks to your riffs and teachings
Thank you this adds so much flavor to the boogie

Thanks Ken. Boogie woogie on the accordion sounds pretty cool, it can end up sounding like Cajun. Great stuff. BK

Can you tell me what was the name of the boogie Woogie you ended this video with?
Can you play slowly on the left hand at the end of the turnaround because i can't reproduce it
The slow down playback option is your friend. I use it all the time for learning this stuff.
