It’s interesting that in Jedi Fallen Order the lightsaber customizations are very similar to the ones at Galaxy’s Edge. I know they aren’t exactly the same, but it’s still cool.
Jeremy, I was totally thinking that!! Naturally I recognized some designs from the movie character savers, but I definitely thought I saw some Savi's design pieces!
I think it totally depends on the person. Like I got a legacy lightsaber at downtown Disney, but if Disneyland opened back up again I would definitely get a Savis Workshop. I think just something about the fact that you can make your own lightsaber that is unique to you and is made with quality is really cool. However owning your favorite characters lightsaber is something really special, and it feels like it's pulling you closer to the universe, like you are holding a piece of Jedi (or Sith) history. Regardless, I loved the video, I've had questions about the legacy lightsabers for a while that you guys answered here, so thanks for releasing the video, and thanks for always being my favorite father and son duo! ♥

9 months late, but this is exactly how I feel. Made a Savi workshop my most recent trip. Next time I go, I plan to get a legacy saber. But I gotta admit, building another custom sounds pretty fun too, maybe 1 for each color since there’s 4 different chassis anyways.
Honestly I have a savi’s and they’re so heavy that they’re hard to transport and also they’re a little bit hard to hold cause they’re so chunky and they’re sound and clash response time is pretty slow.:/ (they’re still awesome tho and don’t forget it!)
Hello sutter family! The reason that some of the sounds are different is because there are other versions of the lubber crystal's so for the green you could either have qui gon Jin,Luke or yoda.y'all have a great day!Love the vid!
Thanks for another great video. I have a Savi's saber and couple of legacy sabers. Both are really cool in their own unique ways. If I had choose one though, I'd probably go with a Savi's one. The experience you get with building your own saber is amazing.

I do say that looking into Saberforge has a lot of sabers that are exactly like from the movies. Although Queen Amidala’s saber was very unique in its form, my favorite saber they recreated was Luke Skywalker’s ROTJ.
I have never been to disney but if I had the chance I'll prefer to have a legacy lightsaber. Even tho xavi's lightsabers are color changable with the kyber crystals and you get the experience of building one, to me it's not worth that much money and you don't have that many things to truly customize it the way you would. But with the legacy you can get your favorite characters lightsaber, there own unique ignition, clash, deactivation sounds, as well as feel like you are that character. All for the same price as xavi's or cheaper. Imo

The Savi's experience was a surprise and was way more fun that I had thought. But just due to the pure weight of the Savi's saber, I don't think it will be getting much duel time. haha
Just bought the Skywalker legacy saber in downtown Disney in Anaheim and I realized when I got home that I got the 31 inch blade. I also bought the 36 inch too.
My family and I are going in 4 weeks and I’ve been racking my brain on which to pick! Probably gonna do both since I want the experience of building one and they just announced Count Dooku’s hilt as the newest of the Legacy line. Just discovered your videos, actually finished the one about your sabers breaking before watching this one.
Both!! That's the correct answer!! lol Great idea man. I hope Dooku's saber is available when you get there!! Please make sure to test out your sabers a bunch before your trips end!! If something malfunctions it will be SO MUCH easier to get something replaced.

Totally! We were just surprised that Luke saber sounds a bit different than the green crystal saber. We also made a fun video about how to change the ID code in the crystals to have the most fun with the Holocrons.
Not sure if you know, but the most dangerous thing about a lightsaber is not the energy blade that can slice through almost anything, it's that the only thing with any actual weight is the handle/hilt. There's no counterweight for momentum like a normal sword, making it just as easy to slice one of your own limbs off as someone else's.
Hahaha… Exactly. I actually I’m gonna show you guys my favorite new neopixel blades, they are half the weight of other normal blades and they feel much more real. 😉👍🏻
In terms of customization Savi’s is better. If you are talking about accuracy to the films? Then Legacy Lightsabers are better. But that is just a subjective opinion. Lol
However note because it’s mentioned on the Disney shop website: The legacy lightsabers are NOT for fighting. They get damaged over time and sometimes even really fast if you do.
Hey Will, I have unfortunately learned the hard way that this is true. Although my little boy and myself never really play fought that hard. Unfortunately some of the staff in galaxies edge were giving different information to the guests back when it opened.

Unfortunately, I would say the Savi's workshop is better for the experience but after owning mine for only a few short months I'd have to go with Legacy over Savi's. Legacy lightsabers I find are a more solid build as they aren't meant to be taken apart. My Savi's lightsaber is cheaply made. It changes colours all the time when I'm swing it, my kybers crystal comes loose when playing around with it and the light will just turn off randomly. The experience at Savi's is great but its also extremally short as Disney only has 2 rooms for this show and has to push as many people through as possible in a day. I'd say you'll be happier in the long run with a Legacy then a Savi's.

Thanks for the video, I'm going to Disney World in a few weeks and have myself booked for a Savi's Workshop Lightsaber. I was torn about which one I should get, but I feel that the custom look and the fact you can change crystals is making me lean towards the custom one. Besides, I might be able to slip a Darth Vader replica into my bag if the wife isn't looking XD
I went to Disney world in 2023 The savis workshop light saber is $250 now and the wait is very long I think the legacy or force fx is a way better deal
Just recently got to experience my first time at disney world and Navi's workshop! was really awesome but never found a way to purchase more kyber crystals online after the fact. There wasn't really any straight forward information that you had to purchase them at the park and i don't plan on going back for another 3 years. if you have any info on how to buy legit crystals other than eBay, it'd be much appreciated! So Kyber Crystals can be purchased on eBay or using our amazon link, should be brand new and sealed. They also sell custom Krystals on Etsy with different colors and can generate any color blade you want. 👍🏻

Hey Harry. The answer is yes! Blade from Savi's is 31 inches which traditionally is a great blade length that cannot be purchased at Dok-Ondar’s. My personal favorite is the 36 inch blade, but Disney made it so that all the blades and sabers are interchangeable. Thanks for watching

That is cool I know this video was 2 years ago but still very funny and fun to enjoy and to be truthful I had some difficulty in choosing either to build my own lightsaber or buy a legacy lightsaber but my mom helped convince me to build because it would be unique to me and my personality I choose purple not only because of Master Windu in the star wars movies but the face that purple reflects both the light and dark and I will never forget the experience the rush was unbelievable and the best part was turning the lightsaber on for the first time so much fun and I can't wait go back to Disney land again, by the way your videos are fun and enjoyable so is your son very cute and funny and I got to ask the picture with sword in the sheath looks like from the lord of the rings return of the king now was that intentional or unintentional

When u were doing the brightness I noticed the legacy looked a bit more movie like in the brightness and the savis was more of a cheap lighting if that makes sense
That's a great question man, you got a carry-on in your hands. They fit in the overhead bin just fine, but definitely not the suitcase. So you just have to manhandle them all the way home. Ha ha
Yess!!! Luke's green saber IS... the best. You should be seeing an amazing one in the next few months from us. All of the large Savi's lightsaber pieces are completely metal. That's why I talk about the weight in the video.. they weigh over 4 lbs each! lol
fyi the sound of the lightsaber changes with the crystal. when i built my lightsaber at savis workshop i got a green crystal and it sounded like luke's saber. when i bought a white crystal after it sounded different.

Hey Joker!! So I lightly mention in the video of the situation. From our experience Disney parks has always had excellent customer service. If Disneyland were open I'm sure they would have been happy to accommodate, although they technically do only have that 30 day warranty. So Disney world basically said only Disneyland can help us. And we still don't know when they're going to open back up. Part two of our quest to fix our broken Sabre will be coming out soon. Thank you so much for the compliment!! Very kind of you.
Finding The Force oh ok I see I was asking because I bought my very first blade a while back and it literally doesn’t not come out the box and I tried it with a new hilt I bought (mace windu) and it’s purple with pinkish red lol like how?!
Hey Micheal. You mean the hilts? They are pretty much the same with maybe a small variation in size. The blades however come in 26in and 36in... and the Savi's exclusive blades are 31in. Thanks for the comment Mike! 🙌🏻
Hey Karen, great question. Download the Disney app right now and starting making reservations right now. I can't remember exactly how many days out they will let you make reservations to build your own custom saber but that is your best strategy. You can also reserve a spot in the Cantina do you enjoy the food and drinks. We hope you have an awesome and safe trip!

Hi there Sutter family my apologies for the late reply I’ve been distracted as of late. I love all your posts and catching up. I haven’t done Savi’s yet but want to for the experience. As a young little girl my brother and I dueled with the cardboard Christmas wrapping paper and we used markers to color them red, blue or green. I always wanted to create my own lightsaber and choose my kyber Crystal like a padawan -lol so because of this I will go to Savi’s. But the legacy lightsabers are amazing I own four and adding to my collection everytime I visit Hollywood Studios. Finally they have Ahsoka’s clone war lightsabers in and I’m praying they don’t sell out until my next visit in 3wks. Oh... did you know they now added Count Dooku omg I want this one too. Keep them videos coming you’re the best!

Legacy: Some are a bit on the heavy & durable side. More of if you just want specific lightsaber hilts. Savi's Workshop: You start with so much but after can buy extra parts, "I mean scraps". The customization has no limits. And they are actually a lot more heavier & durable than legacy. End of the day; Do you want a Luke or Vader or whoever's lightsaber? Or do you want your own that you make and design?

Unfortunately, I would say the Savi's workshop is better for the experience but after owning mine for only a few short months I'd have to go with Legacy over Savi's. Legacy lightsabers I find are a more solid build as they aren't meant to be taken apart. My Savi's lightsaber is cheaply made. It changes colours all the time when I'm swing it, my kybers crystal comes loose when playing around with it and the light will just turn off randomly. The experience at Savi's is great but its also extremally short as Disney only has 2 rooms for this show and has to push as many people through as possible in a day. I'd say you'll be happier in the long run with a Legacy then a Savi's.

once the borders open back up my friend and i are taking a week off of work and coming down to see everything galaxy's edge has to offer, quick question though, what is the entry fee and how can I book reservations.
Hey big Phil, that sounds like a great idea. There is no extra fee, just general admission to the theme park. And if you download the Disneyland or Disney World app you can make reservations for the Cantina or to build your own custom saber. 👍🏻 thanks so much for watching.

Thanks for the video, I'm going to Disney World in a few weeks and have myself booked for a Savi's Workshop Lightsaber. I was torn about which one I should get, but I feel that the custom look and the fact you can change crystals is making me lean towards the custom one. Besides, I might be able to slip a Darth Vader replica into my bag if the wife isn't looking XD

I went to Disney world in 2023 The savis workshop light saber is $250 now and the wait is very long I think the legacy or force fx is a way better deal
Just recently got to experience my first time at disney world and Navi's workshop! was really awesome but never found a way to purchase more kyber crystals online after the fact. There wasn't really any straight forward information that you had to purchase them at the park and i don't plan on going back for another 3 years. if you have any info on how to buy legit crystals other than eBay, it'd be much appreciated!

So Kyber Crystals can be purchased on eBay or using our amazon link, should be brand new and sealed. They also sell custom Krystals on Etsy with different colors and can generate any color blade you want. 👍🏻

Hey Harry. The answer is yes! Blade from Savi's is 31 inches which traditionally is a great blade length that cannot be purchased at Dok-Ondar’s. My personal favorite is the 36 inch blade, but Disney made it so that all the blades and sabers are interchangeable. Thanks for watching

There is one secret way Winfred. If you are at the park first thing in the morning and you almost jog straight to the workshop, sometimes they have just a few openings from people who may have canceled the night before.

That is cool I know this video was 2 years ago but still very funny and fun to enjoy and to be truthful I had some difficulty in choosing either to build my own lightsaber or buy a legacy lightsaber but my mom helped convince me to build because it would be unique to me and my personality I choose purple not only because of Master Windu in the star wars movies but the face that purple reflects both the light and dark and I will never forget the experience the rush was unbelievable and the best part was turning the lightsaber on for the first time so much fun and I can't wait go back to Disney land again, by the way your videos are fun and enjoyable so is your son very cute and funny and I got to ask the picture with sword in the sheath looks like from the lord of the rings return of the king now was that intentional or unintentional

When u were doing the brightness I noticed the legacy looked a bit more movie like in the brightness and the savis was more of a cheap lighting if that makes sense

That's a great question man, you got a carry-on in your hands. They fit in the overhead bin just fine, but definitely not the suitcase. So you just have to manhandle them all the way home. Ha ha

the sound of the lightsaber changes with the crystal. when i built my lightsaber at savis workshop i got a green crystal and it sounded like luke's saber. when i bought a white crystal after it sounded different.

Hey Joker!! So I lightly mention in the video of the situation. From our experience Disney parks has always had excellent customer service. If Disneyland were open I'm sure they would have been happy to accommodate, although they technically do only have that 30 day warranty. So Disney world basically said only Disneyland can help us. And we still don't know when they're going to open back up. Part two of our quest to fix our broken Sabre will be coming out soon.

Finding The Force oh ok I see I was asking because I bought my very first blade a while back and it literally doesn’t not come out the box and I tried it with a new hilt I bought (mace windu) and it’s purple with pinkish red lol like how?!

Hey Micheal. You mean the hilts? They are pretty much the same with maybe a small variation in size. The blades however come in 26in and 36in... and the Savi's exclusive blades are 31in. Thanks for the comment Mike! 🙌🏻

Hey Karen, great question. Download the Disney app right now and starting making reservations right now. I can't remember exactly how many days out they will let you make reservations to build your own custom saber but that is your best strategy. You can also reserve a spot in the Cantina do you enjoy the food and drinks. We hope you have an awesome and safe trip!

They are really awesome theme park souvenirs and probably your best option for the price point. It's just really sad that they will fall apart over time if you play fight with them.

Hi there Sutter family my apologies for the late reply I’ve been distracted as of late. I love all your posts and catching up. I haven’t done Savi’s yet but want to for the experience. As a young little girl my brother and I dueled with the cardboard Christmas wrapping paper and we used markers to color them red, blue or green. I always wanted to create my own lightsaber and choose my kyber Crystal like a padawan -lol so because of this I will go to Savi’s. But the legacy lightsabers are amazing I own four and adding to my collection everytime I visit Hollywood Studios. Finally they have Ahsoka’s clone war lightsabers in and I’m praying they don’t sell out until my next visit in 3wks. Oh... did you know they now added Count Dooku omg I want this one too. Keep them videos coming you’re the best!

Legacy: Some are a bit on the heavy & durable side. More of if you just want specific lightsaber hilts.
Savi's Workshop: You start with so much but after can buy extra parts, "I mean scraps". The customization has no limits. And they are actually a lot more heavier & durable than legacy.
End of the day; Do you want a Luke or Vader or whoever's lightsaber? Or do you want your own that you make and design?
