What were the symptoms of your fridge before you fixed it?

Hey mate, my upper control panel was completely dead and they are too expensive to replace on a fridge as old as mine. Without the control panel the fridge wouldn't work at all.

@BigJ_ if you mean the red switch beside the plugs at the base of the fridge I cannot remember sorry, it was about 18 months ago now.
