@milchseite3785 the common school of thought (my interpretation) is that no musician shall have the attitude of trying to outshine others ie potential arrogance, listen to the music director ie submission or at least the spirit of cooperation. Church music as is to worship and praise God not serve your own ego. Just so you know I agree and disagree. Agree to the idea of it but the rigid adherence makes for very stale music, this is the part which I disagree.
Especially at them Pentacostal jaunts where they look like they literally are moshing but just to the most ornately normal organ music and some dude speaking in tongues. Looks no less strange than your average punk/metal show either way, side by side, lmao. main difference is attire, lighting, and that there is no dedicated dance floor
I’m just saying that when I was a worship leader I would have cried tears of joy if I had a drummer who played like this. Good drummers are hard to come by 😢
I’ve heard this backing track before but I haven’t been able to find it again since I was younger, always loved the licks in this one. Anyone know where to find it?
It's a tech from Jazz when before color was invented on video, and has since mostly been prominent in harder rock, metal and punk. I love hearing it in non-metal and such genres because it shows people know that fast drums don't always mean extreme edgy music. Sometimes the tempo just really gotta hit additional MPH regardless of genre.
Doubling and trippling up on the kick is a Gospel music standard. 🤷🏾 We were doing this in the 80's. And 90's, listen to some of those John P Kee, Hezekiah Walker, and Fred Hammond cuts. You'll hear it.
Seems pretty tame compared to some of the shout music I've played. Playing at black churches in the south is the only time I've ever gotten physically tired and sore from drumming lol. Those church folks got some stamina. Try playing 3 regular songs, then super up tempo shout music for 5 minutes straight right after that lol
why does the music director know what bleed is tho
Right?
Highly sus Mr. Christian music director 🤔🤣
Cause us Christians may or may not listen to that stuff too😤
What is bleed? 😮
😂
Bro I’m a drummer for my metal band and we had to play at my buddy’s church, but when I tell you we played AS LIGHTLY AS POSSIBLE
Why did you? 😭

I accidentally had a hand in turning my church youth band into a metal band once.
"Who gave this man a double pedal" is sending me
"was that bleed?!" 😂
MD secretly listens to Meshuggah on the way to church 😅
It should be what the spirit moves him to play. God gave him that talent after all.
“Was that bleed?” Hahahahaha! Lil Shugg reference
“Was that bleed?” 😂😂😂 caught my sub
He killin it tho. Gospel percussions should be like this.
Dude I love your style. Mostly seeing older stuff but subbing now after like 4 shorts of yours all being bangers.
Exact same.
Lmfao homie pullin' out hertas during service... 🤣 🙏
In this timeline, Bleed is a song about the Crucifixion
U killed this 💯👌
I actively encourage my drummers to bring double pedals and add flare. All for this 😂

Yo. My boy. Gave me an eargasm with those drums.
True metal fan here, and I love this. Dude is smooth. Good stuff.

Haha the way you incorporated bleed was mad good!! 👌🤌
HBM, I was on the fence about hiring you at our church. Well this made up my decision. We’re definitely hiring you now. See you in Orlando soon. 😉
That is some heavy funk ❤
"Is that Bleed?" killed me LOL

Thanks, so great! Keep going🎉
Great groove! 👍
For those interested in the track: Fdt Gospel 012 (120bpm) by Andre Forbes.
Bless you!
Double pedal SHOULD always be in gospel music 👍👍👍👍👍
Especially at them Pentacostal jaunts where they look like they literally are moshing but just to the most ornately normal organ music and some dude speaking in tongues.

Well, if you ever wondered what Sundays would sound like when El Estepario Siberiano gets saved...
God bless him this is what the church need!!
The fuckin’ look on his face is priceless, gotta meet this guy
Andre Forbes tracks are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 to play along to!
I had to subscribe! Right On!
PLAYING TO PRAISE Our Lord And Saviour! What could be better?!?!?!?♥️✝️🙌🏽🎶🥁♥️
I love double bass play!!
I’m just saying that when I was a worship leader I would have cried tears of joy if I had a drummer who played like this. Good drummers are hard to come by 😢

That blast beat at the end was DIRTY

You did an amazing job with it. They should’ve loved it. 👍👍👍
This is giving off mass Casiopea vibes
Damn bro you're killing it
Lol I actually love this type of muic with metal drums. Goddamn double bass and ghosts underrated.
I’ve heard this backing track before but I haven’t been able to find it again since I was younger, always loved the licks in this one. Anyone know where to find it?
I. Love. THIS!!!!!
song?
Dope!!
Gospel with blastbeats would unironically go hard, Wallahi. Praising the Lord while I burn as I fall, hold the morbid, my angel.
A blast beat in church?! YES!!
Name of this song?
Fdt Gospel 012 (120bpm) by Andre Forbes, God Bless you.
Omg this wasSO GOOD
Bro i like your wrist movement and the way you hold the drumsticks not every drummer can do that.
It goes kinda hard bro
Lmao been there. They always ask about the double pedal lol
When I was a kid playing in Church and Gospel Quartets. They would ask me why I had two tom toms mounted on top of my bass drum.
More blast beats!
You used the gospel track I play to that one to
Love the groove, anyone able to share the title of the song? Thank you! Can’t wait to see more clips.
Haha amazing!
Yo i would be vibing in church if thats how you played
I'm the drummer for my church and for youth group, this is how I play
Gospel was already metal. It was all toms and cymbals though. Like a John Freese set.🤣
🔥🔥🔥
Slight Bleed by Meshuggah😜🤟🏿💪🏾❤️🔥
Going to this church bro.
Can relate...bro... Metal player in church...
Idk what a double petal is but I like it

Shout music/punk rock got the same tempos.

Yeah!
“Whoa whoa whoa, who gave this man a double pedal?!”
If Michael Jordan played drums instead of basketball this would be it 😛 🔥
That’s how it should be played !!
👍🏽👍🏽💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💜
That snare
Oh my God it almost sounds like Animals As Leaders. holy crap that’s awesome!!
A church drummer is hitting the double pedal
Seems pretty tame compared to some of the shout music I've played. Playing at black churches in the south is the only time I've ever gotten physically tired and sore from drumming lol.
Those church folks got some stamina. Try playing 3 regular songs, then super up tempo shout music for 5 minutes straight right after that lol
Been there done that.
To add.... The shout music is the same beats that punk rock drummers do.
That blast beat kinda remind me to Mike Smith 🥲
did this once at my church and since then I could never play like this 😢
What song is this?
Anyone know what song he is playimg
It's called Fdt Gospel 012 (120bpm) by Andre Forbes.
@@CarbideSix thank you

That’s not gospel that’s R&B
Fdt Gospel 012 (120bpm) by Andre Forbes

Might i ask what is the name of the song?
Fdt Gospel 012 (120bpm) by Andre Forbes
That's the name of the track not the song. Right?
That is the name, it shows up as the first result in the search bar.
I'm wondering which one is harder for this man not spamming double pedals or not keeping his tongue in his mouth 💀💀💀💀
He got that much Dawg in him
That's his drum face! All musicians have one.
Lol I love it. Push it.
I liked it it’s drumming period
