    Agreed, good stuff Joe !!!

    It also needs a sensor shield like the Z8.

      That would be a great piece to include

      I think it will still come with a mechanical shutter, they could make an option to close it when the camera is powered off.

    Hey Joe, I agree with most of your specs. However, if they are to get to 8K, you'll need at least 33.2 megapixels. I am also not quite sure why you want a low-pass filter😅 I think, any concerns you have over artefacts can be addressed in post, but for maximum sharpness out of the body, removing the low pass filter does make a difference. I am honestly not sure what Nikon is waiting for to release this body at this stage! We're only missing this to get Nikon to compete where the majority of the market demographic lies IMO.

      Good points and fair on the low pass. But for sure once this camera is out they could potentially increase there market share considerably with the large demo that would be interested

    Great video Joe. I want Nikon to give the Z6III better autofocus than the Z8/9. This unit will end up being a vlogging (I hope) unit to compete with the other guys, based on price point and it should have features that solo shooters and YT creators crave, such as a product mode where it can shift focus fast to an item placed in front of the camera. A tracking mode to follow you around a room, like Sony has, also useful. It doesn't need 8K but 6K60p would be useful, internal RAW would be good for both 4K and 6K however, this would necessitate the addition of a fan for cooling the camera, which would result in it being a bit more bulky. I don't think it needs a stacked sensor however, a newer BSI sensor with great low light capability and good dynamic range would pair well with the Expeed 7 processor. Oh yeah, better iBIS than Z8/9 with an active or advanced stabilization mode to make it gimbal like in performance. Nikon needs to match and beat Sony and Panasonic in those areas.

      Thanks Wayne and those are great reqs for the Z6III

      you are dreaming high if you think a Z6iii would have better AF than a z8 or z9. The z6iii probably wont have a stacked sensor so forget about having a better AF than a z8/z9

      @@ThatNorma Nikon is behind the other manufacturers with updated tech and cameras now. Waiting until the Z9 II to introduce better AF tech and trickle down isn’t something they can afford to do as in the days of DSLRs. Sony has been pushing out new tech in each camera release. If the Zf tech is an indication, Nikon may already be on their way to doing this.

      @@waynerm002 behind in what exactly? watch peta pixel latest video about camera brands. wish people were generally like minded the ones in that comment section. every camera brand does some things better than the other and vice versa. nikon has better ergonomics than sony, has better glass as well. sony had a couple things better like the AF...etc etc same could be said for canon or panasonic etc. you literally cant go wrong with any of the camera brands nowadays , all of them offer amazing cameras. regarding your nikon comments, nikon just needs to update their z6ii and z7ii to mark 3 models, maybe the z5 as well and they are good. i literally never saw anyone claiming that you can do something with a sony a7rv that you cant do with a z8 or z9...people are so glued to specs nowadays its laughable, its like some of you forgot what makes photography special

      @@ThatNorma Nikon has stepped up the top end cameras and now the Zf is showing us what to expect in the Z6 III. On the photo side I’ve been happy, video is where they have been lagging. I shoot mainly single point and now use the boxes with eye tracking, if that fails, back to single point. Can they do better, certainly. Expeed 7 has been a godsend for Nikon. The Zf is the Z6 improved, now the rest of the line needs to get their upgrade.

    It would be great if it had a 6k open gate and 10-bit video. Also, I wish Nikon would start implementing jog wheels like Panasonic does. As for resolution, I would like anything from 24-36 mp, of course, with better AF.

    • @JoeMansLand
      @JoeMansLand  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great points and the wheel would be great!

    If the sensor is stacked, i am not sure if Nikon can get the price down to $2000. It may be $3000. So that makes room for the Z5 to be the non stacked camera at $2000. Nikon can then introduce Z3 at $1500.

    • @JoeMansLand
      @JoeMansLand  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great points and for sure pricing might be tricky

      @@JoeMansLand Sony already has the 24mp stacked sensor. So it's not unreasonable to expect Nikon Z6iii to use a stacked 24mp sensor. If they remove the mechanic shutter, maybe they can keep the price in the $2k-$3k area. If Nikon can pull this off, I think they will gain lots of market share back from Sony.

    I'd like the Z6iii NOT to have a stacked sensor as they are limited in dynamic range. For me the 33Mp sensor found in the Sony A7 IV, AF from the Z8/Z9 coupled with solid video specs would be the perfect recipe for a camera to compliment my Z9.

    • @JoeMansLand
      @JoeMansLand  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good points, and video is definitely the area I hope the Z6III is killer on video

    • @ThatNorma
      @ThatNorma ปีที่แล้ว

      while what you said its true , the difference is really minimal. If u have a z9 or a z8 you can compare its files with a z7ii and yeh the dynamic range difference is there because of the stacked sensor but it is so minimal that its meaningless

    • @johnw.3636
      @johnw.3636 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Is the difference in dynamic range even noticeable? If you plan on using the camera to make money, will any of your clients care or even realize? Would your family nitpick about this minimal purported loss in dynamic range?

    • @ThatNorma
      @ThatNorma 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @johnw.3636 no not really. the z8 and z9 do quite a good job at low light. i only notice noise on the z8 when taking images above 6400 iso and even then i clean it up in lightroom with 2 clicks

    • @johnw.3636

      @ThatNorma Gotcha. I was mostly directing it at the original post. We've become too accustomed to pointing out things that are not relevant in photography. Just make great pictures instead of talking about minor differences in dynamic range and other things that are never really noticed in real world applications.
