He is from a small village of Santander, doesn't speak English fluently..just listening to karaok's... boom....he is one of the hidden talents of Filipinos
This is a great example of singing culture in the Philippines. no training, just singing at malls, birthdays party, at the park, at weddings, at fiesta singing competition and the most hard singing contest on TV.
Filipinos are very good at this that's why they are well prepared in this big competition. one video can change your whole life.

Years ago on the Ellen Show, there was a viral clip of Roland Abante singing in a bar setting - he was sensational. I have known him for years, through his performances on The WISH 107.5 BUS (you have to be excellent to get invited on). America is witnessing a Superstar international caliber voice here. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic with 45 + years experience. Hopefully, he can score a record deal from his appearance here.

Roland 's voice quality and performance is different unlike marcelito pomoy he is a good singer but his voice is common Roland 's voice is unique or unusual and amazing that every body wants to hear and also his performance is different he deliver his song with fashion that's why the audience are amused and millions of people that are watching the show are expressing thier feelings to Roland 's performance
