I saw this video and purchased the Knights of the New Thunder album back in '84. These guys simply kick ass. Tony Harnell is a great singer!! This song never left my head and I'm glad I re-found it!
these guys were ahead of their time back in the 80's for metal melodic to truly have a killer new edge. I hope they stick around for a long time. Sincerely, Sean K. Long (Kei-Largo- Jet) Guiatarist and singer.
Tony is simply one of the best vocalists period and a great friend. I ought to know, we started out and worked together in our first few bands. He's still singing better than ever 25 years later.:)
heh wow flash back i loved this album when it 1st came out i still do.these guys were just brilliant. i had nvr seen this vid till now. those were the days
i rem this one here..... man i haven't heard of them so long time since i was so young in NY long island... honestly they are great play music. but the guy who is lead singer and he is great voice.. it's really tuff with the voice.. i am sure that he is very hard work with his voice as like as professional performance.... they are awesome also too........
I heard an interview once in NJ, that the lead singer is actually from Brooklyn, NY and met the other band members in a pharmacy buying stockings and got to talkin to join.
Long ago we sailed with fury Across the oceans of the world The legend lives, it stays forever We are ready so beware We are rulers of the ocean Kings of seven seas We are rulers of the ocean Kings of seven seas
Nights of the new thunder was the first viking metal album, although TNT didn't exactly look like the viking bands of today. The cover, the song titles and lyrics, and diesel is sitting in a viking ship in the video. Great stuff
I usually hate glam metal, but this is actually kick ass. I knew about these guys for a couple years and this is like my first time listening to them in 2 years. Damn this is great.
WOW, its been a long time since ive heard this.... Never seen this video either. Cant even remember the guitarists name but he was very fast for that time in HAIR METAL A+
awesome shit right there, one of my favorite guitar players besides gary moore,& michael Shenkar, tekro has a feel and attack like no one else, the comment uner this is great, here is your answer, your only as good as your influences,so if you were influenced by nirvana,& pearl jam,& alternative music, like most of these kids today probably were influenced by,you will never be able to play music like this,
I'd like to dedicate this song to the men & women of the United States Navy! Just imagine: Them putting this song on on the bridge of one of our U.S. Warships as they go into BATTLE!!! UH-RAH!!! GO NAVY!! 'Nuff said!
no , sorry, just the time i was a teen,.finished school, i went straight home to see some rock/heavy metal clips on tv. Then, i would meet some friends and talk about it. good time then, but no sorrow about it. just good times back then. see you !!!!
Does anyone know what the back up vocals are in this song? Sounds like they say "In our wake;" "On our way" something about a "wave" or perhaps "word(s)" or is it something Norwegian? All the lyrics I find do not show this line.
Well, at least there's ONE guy who's still out there, shreddin' in front of sell-out crowds every summer, and that's Warren DeMartini of the recently reunited Ratt! At any rate, that's my two cents! Laters!
They never became as big as Europe, but in my opinion TNT got more skills than them. Europe is great though. Ronni Le Tekrø pawns everyone with his guitar
This is not Hair Metal. What would you call 90's music? Flannel Rock? Yeh I know some 80's bands ruined it ( Faster Puttytat,Posin' ),but TNT are seriously talented musicians.
It is sad that people like Al diMeola, Allan Holdsworth, Strunz & Farah or bands like DIO or Judas Priest play infront of small crowds or have to go to Europe becuse people are listening to "American Kareoke"!
I live in America and it pisses me off that no talent fucks line Justin Timberlake, Madonna. Bittany and all that Rap shit are all over the airwaves and people that can actually play their instruments have to struggle.
Who can not like this?! this is just what metal should sound like!

there is no beating 80's guitar rifffs. Great music gone but not forgotten
The COOLEST metal song of all time. What a Fantastic group of musicians.

I love this song. The vocals are so amazingly powerfull!
Remembering 1989, hollywood bowl, with loudness and stryper, you guys kicked azz! many thanks.
Norges stolthet. vilken bra grupp. Harnell är en fantastisk sångare.
the "bridge" leading up to the guitar solo is probably one of the most ass kicking things I have ever heard.
heh wow flash back i loved this album when it 1st came out i still do.these guys were just brilliant. i had nvr seen this vid till now.

The Guitarist has so much talent.

hei. er mills vokalist i tnt nå? skal tnt ha konserter i nær fremtid? elsker dem, men aldri sett dem live. elsker tekrø er kanskje mer presist..
Well, at least there's ONE guy who's still out there, shreddin' in front of sell-out crowds every summer, and that's Warren DeMartini of the recently reunited Ratt! At any rate, that's my two cents! Laters!
we are waves
R.I.P Dag Stokke
jeg syntes vokalisten er bandets svakeste ledd egentlig..
så du når Ronni spilte med tunga i Lillestrøm ell?:D
falta el niñato del metro de valencia JODER
What about Conception? Aren't they from Norway? Also..another great band out of Norway (non Black Metal) is Pagan's Mind.

It is sad that people like Al diMeola, Allan Holdsworth, Strunz & Farah or bands like DIO or Judas Priest play infront of small crowds or have to go to Europe becuse people are listening to "American Kareoke"!
TNT is TNT with TH ,not Mills, who after all is british and can't sing!! R.I.P
I live in America and it pisses me off that no talent fucks line Justin Timberlake, Madonna. Bittany and all that Rap shit are all over the airwaves and people that can actually play their instruments have to struggle.
Does metal get any better than this??? Fuck!
