A mistake when I first started playing Rec Room was adjusting my settings. For my first month I was stuck in teleport. Then once I got out of teleport, I couldn’t really figure out how to get rid of the motion sickness circle. Another mistake which I really regret is not jointing the game sooner. I had a VR, but I didn’t decide to download rec room. I missed out in a lot of cool events and free items!
Oh I agree! I thought it was a VR only game! I could have joined way sooner too!
4:14 i've thought for aaages they should add a way to keep your favourite rooms to visit in a folder or something and call them "playlists". You could set up a "play later" playlist for rooms you wanna check another time witbout forgetting, compile your favourite horror maps into one, or throw together your favourite hangout rooms, etc etc

Yes, Golden Trophy is fine but it's definitely not the best one in my opinion.

I always though as a new player that you don’t get to choose from the activity boxes and that it shows you the things that you have a chance of getting in that box so i always hoped to get the cool items😂
when I found out that you CAN choose, i didn’t know if i should laugh or cry 😂 missed out on some cool items

When I first started, I would always play RROs. I never played community rooms, now I do, and they are amazing! Personally, I enjoy ^TrippleThreat, RRS maps, all the ^FaceYourFears games, and more! Great advice in this video, Tara!

I 100% agree on these mistakes, I did them myself when I first started too, this is (of course always) an amazing video, to tell people the pros and cons about what they have to do in Rec Room to have that satisfaction gameplay, and of course find a better itinerary right to get level 50 faster! When I first started Rec Room, I didn’t know you only have to do 3 weekly challenges instead of 5, there were so many weeklies I wanted that I just never got because I thought it was impossible seeing as I only had the weekends to get on. 😢

Yes this is so real! I used to only play paintball and I found rec royale and it’s the best game ever. You also need to give the quests a few times don’t give up if you die once. Maybe i can play with you someday Tara!

One of the most major mistakes I do is related to builders if you're going to be building someone you research the people they worked with to know how that player Act and to see if they're even a good person
And I recently just did that with someone and I found so much bad stuff about them
a mistake i made is expecting makerpen bugs to be removed in the next update
it took me a whole year to find out it was the subroom itself that was ruined in my game that i had suffered for months trying to make it work but more and more glitches kept preventing me from doing so to the point where the room itself was broken

Another mistake I find myself constantly making is pulling out and using rare consumables when others are too, I find people socializing and think it would be cool to set down a bubbly, red apples, and maybe even use a potion. Then the next day rolls in and another funny socializing event happens, but I don’t have my consumables and some of my consumables might not be easily replaceable on the device I’m using. So later I buy another potion o’ gunpowder for example and as it turns out, if I hadn’t then I could’ve bought a cool pirate hat I’ve always wanted. So I play Isle again, grab the gold and buy the hat that I never wore since purchasing. That never happened to me before yet though it could happen to you. Resist the urge to use rare consumables you know are not easy to replace and try to buy all the cosmetics in the quest shops before you buy any cool consumables for an easier midnight aristocrat and/or black scallywag set. Also I guess don’t buy something you think is cool unless you have a ton of gold, silver, tokens, or credits, it’s limited, and/or you know for sure it will match your avatar.

I didn't have much for my mistakes I first kinda learned the game from early on and then just advanced to accidentally doing some like forgetting to fav a good room but idk I probably don't have good memory trying to remember

2. That's The Mistake I Might not Noticed,But Probably They Were Important For Something
3.Very Sore Mistake,I Don't Have Any Good Friends
4.A Very Very Sore Mistake,Due to Being Bored and At The Same Time,Bullied,I Had to Stop, Because it's Affecting Mentally
5. I don't know how to do that
6. That's What I Typically Do,Due to Social Isolation,And I Fear When I Do,I Get Judged By The Others
7. I get Free Items In time to time in Certain ways
8. As Mentioned in (Number 3) I Don't Have Friends
9. I do Try Certain Community-Made Maps (If The Map Matches The Criteria of My Own)
10. Public Lobbies Often Get me to Stressful Experiences
11. I'm Not Allowed to Buy Things Using Real Money
12. I Sometimes Adjust
13. I Already Did By The time I Checked the First One Whom I Already Blocked For Offensive and Excessive Words
3:05 I relate with this pain too much... I got banned at the beginning of june for saying "I dont have enough tokens" to a kid who wanted a gift. This is why I forever now play in private rooms with my friends. Also my name got changed to brightfalcon, which means you got banned too much. Worst part is idk if I can change my name when I get back on rr.

I never made these mistakes somehow?!? Wow well i pretty much done almost all of rec room originals and i have played lots of community rooms and i have a friend whos almost on everyday who does dailys and plays crescendo with me. I gotta say rec room really is a great game.

I agree with tip #3. I met a lot of cool people that were about my age but I did not add them as a friend and now I play with kids or alone. I missed out on hanging out with really cool people

I only did one mistake when I started only going to the rec center know I only go for the weekly rotation

My number 1 mistake: I never tried out Rec Room even though I have the PSVR for many many years. Today I learned there is some kind of Metaverse on Playstation. I always thought Rec Room is a singleplayer map creator

I introduced a friend of mine to rec room the other day, played through golden trophy and towards the end he accidentally used the blocking shortcut. A bit later his game crashed and i was attempting to reinvite him to the lobby, it took us a while to figure out what had gone wrong😂😂
Whoops!! ahhaha! I always found the blocking shortcut inconvenient. I never quite picked it up.
Paintball was my first rro and imedietly fell in love. But I will say this: RecRally is kinda overhated. I think its good, but the hate is just too mych for it. There was even a rally buggy skin that I was able to snag!

Another thing you can do is during some events where you get power cores (or some other collectibles) you get xp for the event and for leveling up. Which is how I got level 50 ( all of that for a dress)

One mistake I didn't make but a lot of people have done. It is to not try the maker pen. If you don't like it, it's fine. But even though I'm not the best at the maker pen. I still have a lot of fun using it and if you don't at least try your missing out.

Personally, I don’t really play RRO anymore, I do play Showdown and Isle of Lost Skulls occasionally, but all the others are kinda boring to me.
I made the mistake of not getting free items. I tried to make a golden trophy outfit once, and instead of beating the quest to get the archer outfits like a normal person. I bought the grey archer outfit. Atleast it looks cool.
Same I was super shy too😅. But after like 2 years I became more social. It depends for me too. 😅. “The shell”… my friends have always told me to get out of my “shell”. Which of course I have. 😊 All those ideas you mentioned I have used to make friends. The only reason I may barely 😥 use my mic is because my voice just sounds “WEIRD”. So sometimes I type…😅
I remember when i first started playing rec room, I wanted to play Rec royale but i didnt know how to put the weapon the my side 😂😂😂
Oh gosh! Yeah it's a lot to pick up, especially checking the map, the swarm, and learning the different colors of weapons and damage they deal!

pro tips for the basketball weekly, it dont matter how far you are, as long as you make it, what you can do is get ontop of the hoop and dropping the ball in, is it cheating the task? yes, but does rec room staff care? no, they got more important stuff to do like banning exploiters then banning someone who was just trying to get their daily over with
A mistake Imade was not trying all of the quests. I was stuck playing GT until I was in my lvl 20s and found out other quests existed.

I found that if I got on rec room late at night, then there’s a higher chance of being older people, so I typically only play during midnight

on most social games I usually don’t say a lot but if it’s a game where you’re supposed to talk for any reason like say figuring out who is the murderer that’s the only time I would really say something
