I think we need to keep a few things in mind.
1. Episodes like Gorizilla, Style Queen and Queen Wasp confirm that he does
2. When he yeeted Cat Noir across Paris I think people tend to forget that their suits literally make them nigh-invulnerable so I doubt Adrien felt a thing
3. The man is desperate to save his wife and his son has part of the means to achieve it. “Drastic times calls for drastic measures”. Notice how in episodes like Ephemeral and The Kwamis Choice, he never tries to akumatize Adrien unless it’s a last resort and in the case of The Kwamis Choice, the man is literally dying so he needs all the chances he can get.
Yes it’s messed up, I know, and I’m not saying Gabriel is good father. He’s not. I’m just saying he does care for Adrien, he just loves his wife more.
and BTW gabriel doesnt know that cat noir is actully adrien so he does care

okay but chat noir would technically be dead right? not our chat noir but the one that was chat blanc that ladybug just left, he would starve and soon die and be left there to decompose, rib cage being fleshy and fungus or moss/plants growing out of him, worms and maggots and shit like that as he slowly goes from a dead body laying there to a pile of bones, flesh, and grass. plants could possibly on the city buildings as the moss and plants grow farther and farther, maybe the bacteria evolve into fish because of the amount of water there is, and then history repeats itself.
