- A crop I have never dealt with before, it made a nice change from cows! Head to • HI-TECH GRAPE HARVESTE... to watch Mucka and myself looking at a state of the art New Holland grape harvester and how it is helping a UK vineyard to produce award winning wine!

Like a busman’s holiday George! I remember beet on the side of the road on the way to school… also remember kicking one thinking it was light! Yeah, didn’t do that again 🤣🤣🤦♂.
Happy Healthy Safe Farming 2024 from New Hampshire ✌️👍🇺🇲💚
That use to my winter job I use to lift 140-150 acres of beet on my own with a 3 row Edenhall and cart them all into bury factory with a tractor and trailer about 35 mile round trip
Great job George, another string to Your bow👌👍🙏🙂
Takes me back to BSC plant at Newark in the '60's, the queue of farmers in little grey fergies , Nuffield universals, the odd Ford 5000 and the newer 165's etc, and beet in the trailer, delivered direct from the farm
Nice Blue combo, like that intelligent steering on the trailer

Haven’t hauled beet for a fair while, last time I did I managed to get the smallest tractor on the biggest trailer and sank 😂 bloody nightmare
Hello George this video has made a change Iam like you I have never done beet we looked at the costs and the logistics for it it just wasn’t cost affective I like the power shift JCB but like you Iam used to the dual tech but I don’t mind either I wanna see the new JCB 457 wheel loader in action she looks some machine look forward to the next one 👍👍
Nice video George 🚜🔧👍
Haven't seen beet up here 🏴 unless its been grown for cattle feeding for many years 🤔 nice wee video George 👍
Nice video George 🚜
Makes a change George from usual stuff nice video all the same🚜👍
Hi George, I don’t like sugar beet it always reminds me of the time when we had to load trucks up by hand with beet forks there was two of us and it would take most of the day to go to cantley, And there was times when we had to pull them out the ground and then top and tail them, Great video George take care of yourself and stay safe.🌲🌲👍👍🚜🚜.
Sounds like loads of fun Fred!
Them was not the good old days. Lol
re bonjour George c est encore une belle petite vidéo , bon courage a toi pour la suite 😍👍👍👍
another good one George
Silversoons at bury st Edmund’s?! That’s my neck of the woods!
New Holland s are usually pretty good at Tipping big trailers so long as you keep the back end Oil right up to the mark😁, if you think a NH is bad try a jd 🤔
The bucket is a bit small for the shovel, Its unusual not to be using a cleaner loader and loading straight on a lorry,
Ah sugar beets. Remember the old days when (at least here in the Netherlands) every old truck that could drive was mobilised and heavily overloaded 😂😂
One thing george.
One time my coworker was tipping trailer and had his rear window open. The hydraulic pipe burst and all of the cabin was full of oil😅😅. 724 needed a very deep clean after that. And now i never open the window when tipping for that reason😂
Another great video George would you feed your cattle with sugar beet 👍👍👍
On da beets brooo.... Massive jungle vibes 😂
Loved a bit of jungle back the day😁
@@GeorgeSaunders a man with good taste
Oil and a bit of grease on the pins.
Back when Brigg sugar beet was open, we used to buy wet beet pulp off them, that’s when l seen the high tip bucket, why aren’t we using them more often?
Great video george! Whats the reason for a special bucket for beet?
It helps allow any soil and stones that you may pick up to fall out the bottom so you don't load them in the trailer 👍
Nice video once again. Do they use the "bietenmuis" (Ropa Naus) over in the UK? Impressive machine that is.
Yes, as I mentioned in the video they have a Ropa Maus as well as a tiger
@@GeorgeSaunders must have missed that 😊. Once watched a maus loading a truck. Something like 7minutes.. for 30/32 ton we are allowed 50tons. Very impressing 😊
what do they do with the beats? we don't see them grown in my state.
It gets made into all sorts of sugars for cooking and putting in your tea mate. Have a lovely Christmas all of you👍
@@GeorgeSaunders Merry Christmas George and Liz.
The beet are processed to make sugar,it's grown in the east of England near to the processing factory's. There are four sugar beet factory's now at Newark,Bury St Edmunds, Cantley and Washington. Another channel called ward's waffle went to have a look round the Newark factory last year
Ment to be wissington not washington
@@philipwhite5933 Washington is ware they process horse shot here in the USA 🇺🇸
Great Video George, have you ever considered fodder beet on the dairy farm? If i had a dairy farm Fodder beet would be part of the feed plan, thanks for sharing
Not meaning to pick, but the lorry is a long way away from the loader, any chance of bringing it in closer to cut out the travel.
Never mind the sugar beet....did you get the grape juice out of your posh shirt???...😂😂😂😂
Rip oil pump 🙈
You can't beet a good video......sweet. 😂
