I believe the bag policy was to try and cut down on drugs and potential weapons, so it really makes sense.
That is fair. I'm sure they had some things in mind when making the policy of course. We do what we can to have a safe and fun con for everyone! :)
As I said from my personal perspective, its just not something i've seen as a major issue as an attendee or on con staff at several conventions
I hope MFF will be better in 2024. It was a great early birthday gift I ever had 💖💖💖💖💖

Dam MFF has changed so much, I attended MFF201 & 2015. Think I'll miss the smaller con of MFF.

This was my first MFF, and I'm glad that I went. It wasn't perfect, but the positives were very positive. It was really great being able to see and say hi to you at MFF! Thank you so much for making this video!!

This is such a great informative video! I am autistic and like to know exactly how events are going to go and what accommodations look like - and this video helped me out a lot! I’ve been wanting to go for years and now I feel more prepared of what to expect!

MFF was awesome! ❤ I missed Kigu Boys bc I was partying too hard 😂 Had loads of fun with friends, and got a good seat at Floor Wars - which btw was fantastic getting to hear the dancers pick their own music! I honestly had a lot more fun this year compared to last 🎉❤
The only thing that surprised me was that you PAID to use the lockers? i got one for free 🫣 I kind of disliked the bag policy, my new Howl Out chest bag fell right out of limitations before needing to be clear, but I never made it to the raves so I can't comment on it.
Lots of awesome Dealers and variance in booths this year, it was just all around a good time. I didn't use them, but there was a shuttle system to all hotels in the room block that weren't connected via Skybridge, which was also great to see.
I totally know that mood of missing something because was party hard into the night XD
yeah I just think the bag policy overall was an interesting choice.
I'm glad they had a transit option this round for others that can utilize the skybridge much or at all

Video was absolutely amazing! Very well review and even gave me some information I didn't know! This was also my first fur con! I've been to anime/fandom cons before, so I was used to the all over the place, planning things out, moving all around and yeah!
I'm sorry for such the long comment 😅😅
1. For me I flew in! I took a shuttle from the air port to the hotel and it was a breeze! I was at the Hilton Garden Inn and there was a shuttle that ran too and from the convention center (part of their shuttle system) It was great and very convenient! I didn't realize there was an app for it until like the last day of the con lol. Sometimes, it was a struggle of like "I'm ready to go back. Hurry up please" but it was fine! and even when I took a Lyft, it was only like, $7 before tip. Hotel itself was great too! SUPER HOT WATER THAT FELT AMAZING!
2. From what I saw the main hotel was that it was very nice! The congestion around the escalators was a bit of a pain though. Like I was trying to get out of the way from the escalators, not step on the back of the persons ankle in front of me, and not fall over trying to avoid and get around lol.
3. Food really was a bit of a struggle and $14 for a personal pizza was whack. Did I still do it? yes. Did I do it a second time? also yes. It was convenient and that's where they got me. I was moving all around all weekend, but I still made sure to eat (make sure you're following the 621 rule of, at least 6 hours of sleep, at least 2 meals, and at least one shower a day) just costed more than I wanted but it happens. If you're 21+ you can also DoorDash alcohol to your hotel, you'd have to just show the driver your ID. Though DoorDash in general was a godsend for me.
4. My line con was about an hour 30min to 2 hours total. When I got there, the overflow area was where it was the slowest, but once we got to the main queue, it was very little stopping and mostly a constant movement. It was great though because I still ended up running into online friends!
5. I was so all over the place with things I wanted to do, I only went to the dealers den for like an hour or 2 at the most. I zoomed through, bought some things, grabbed business cards from others and kept going. Next time, I'm spending more time (and money) in there!
6. The panels were great! I loved the ones I went to, got some new information and got entertained!
7. Sadly missed out on floor wars. BUT THE DANCE COMP, OMG! I loved it so much! The dance comp was what truly hooked me into the fandom! So finally seeing that in person, after being in the fandom since 2011, it was so good! I got a little emotional, since I was thinking to myself "wow, I'm finally here. I'm finally seeing the dance comp in person." It was great to cheer for everyone who competed, everyone danced great, and meeting several of them afterwards too!
8. OMG THE RAVES/DANCES WERE ALSO AN ABSOLUTE BLAST! It was so good to flow, vibe, trade kandi, and dance like no one was watching! OH! Also the lockers were free this year! MFF covered the cost of them! If you're not at the main hotel, I would HIGHLY recommend getting a locker, even if it's not covered by MFF next year. It made things super convenient for when I didn't want to lug my stuff back to the hotel, having to take a shuttle, then take one back, then going to X thing. instead it was "I'ma put this in my locker and keep wondering, mingling, getting food, what ever! I just put my stuff in the locker, then when I was going back to the room to change before the rave, I'd grab my stuff and go back then. So worth it!
Overall, I had an amazing time! Got to meet so many of my online/VR friends. Meet people I didn't expect to meet etc.! I partied my tail off, had good vibes, experienced the hell bridge, I mean sky bridge, ran around like a maniac but it was so worth it. Worth every late nice, to early morning wake up, to every hour walking around, to meeting so many amazing people! Can't wait for the next one!

My only major gripes with mff were the resellers in the den and the congestion in the main hotel. The latter i understand bc uve got a budget and ur non for profit without sponsorships so u can't afford more space. But your den policy states no resellers and uve got a reseller with 6 tables in the den
very interesting note. I didn't know that had resellers and ones which such big spaces. Something MFF should note for sure

Love your voice it reminds me of a more enthusiastic Mat Pat. Great video, very informative especially the money saving parts so kudos for us poor folk. I ate a 10 dollar bacon hot dog and it was good but come on Hilton…😂
How was the hotdogs btw? I havent tried them when I was there but saw a lot of attendees eating there.

@@thatdogcoda The hot dog was great. It had a lot of stuff on there for sure: onions, bacon, green 🫑, lots of sauces not sure what but was tasty and it was like a footlong so heck yeah and the bread was multi-grained. It was a fancy tasty dinner get for sure.
