This isn't only another favourite episode of mine, but, I can more than just identify about how that one's own biological parents & one's own biological family members & relatives could care less about one of their own.
This was kinda sad to watch under the circumstances of Jim seeing his father after all these years. And they never even really made amends. But it was unselfish of Jim to put his father in a more favorable light for the sake of his younger brother, despite what his Dad did to him and his family years earlier. With what happened with Jim, that helped him to become a good father to his kids.
Other characters I know that had to deal with daddy issues were Will from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and George from George Lopez. It's one reason why these characters, despite being comedic, are people that some of us can actually relate to.

I think it was a good episode. With humor and life lesson and sadness at the same time.
Some of the Best Men have become Great Dads because of the pain they went thru as a kid. I love this episode 💯💯💯
