    And now you have the most exciting Strandberg 8 strings guitar so far ! M8 pickups are amazing :)

    Huge Rich Henshall fan, and i very much like the contrast in the original Signature guitar, but i see your points! Definitely the first time i see a mod like this! Great idea

    Love this video, Steven! In your position, I would have done the same thing. I have played a few Strandys but have never bought one because they haven't designed one that checks all the boxes. Glad you took matters into your own hands. You make interesting music, too!

    This turned out so damn well. Love the end result!

    Great video and the end result looks awesome! Wished strandberg had a guitar builder option, they feel great guitars to play on but somehow their aesthetic are always a few points short. If I had the cash I would have grabbed the updated Metal

    Really cool. This is something I would do. I’m thinking of getting a Strandberg. I just got to try one. Might start with essential

    Dude! Phenomenal work! Sick playing and a fantastic idea! The editing is really great and the video flows well. I’m kinda hoping that Strandberg starts to use those Lundgren pups on more lines. I really want one with the chambering but passive pickups. Hope the channel does well!
    Edit: Oh, and I forgot my TH-cam etiquette… First!

      @StevenLamphear  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! Yeah, I’m hoping we’ll start seeing Lundgrens more often; they’re the best! The fact that the Futur line will be using them is promising.

    This is great! Both look better after your changes! I've always been disappointed at most strandy 8's being stuck with soapbar routes.

    Agreed, that was a great match. End result stunning. I also want a 8 string Strandberg NX with richlite, but there arent many alternatives. I am also not , like you, sold on the Fishmans. The Henshall's pups sounds great. But on the expensive side to get to this end result because you need to buy two.....;-)

    Amazing video. Hope I can have only one guitar to practice.

    That turned out incredible even if i would have kept the color offset knobs (i thought they looked amazing).
    Iam just wondering: can't the fishman PU be switched to passive mode via one of the Push - Pull pods?

    Nice! I would never buy a guitar with bright fretboard. I always had the idea that cheap guitars had bright fretboards. Also I get lost playing it.

      Thank you so much! Yeah, I was pretty surprised when it just worked. 😂 I had to do saddle adjustments on both guitars, but that was really the only wrinkle.

  • @MickZarco

    I'm interested on your lead tone, it sounds as if the tone knob was at zero, I like it but I just wonder if it is the pickup or just the way you like it

    • @StevenLamphear
      @StevenLamphear  ปีที่แล้ว

      The tone knob was actually all the way up! I was using the neck pickup though, which is much warmer than the bridge. The tone was just the Electric Sunrise Lead preset from Archetype Plini. 😊

    Perfect, if only you worked for strandberg. I don't understand why the guitar that would sell most, doesn't exist. Natural finish, passive pickups with HH config and a richlite fretboard. Dude no one wants active pickups or HSS, disposable batteries are not good for the environment and no one wants a battery to go flat while performing.

    Like Fishmans are cool and all but like with all the tones they offer it doesn't seem like they nail any. Jack of all trades master of none kinda thing

  • @K_R_N.
    @K_R_N. ปีที่แล้ว

    Since for you and 99% of us the guitars stay in the same air conditioned room year round, potential temperature/humidity changes and fret sprout are a non-issue.

  • @davidp6007
    @davidp6007 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well....since you show it one cannot help but wondering,...as you willing to invest that much...why not get someone to built you an headless 8 just as you want it, with your name and smell on it...? Rather than mess about with those production line, and I think way overpriced, ready made stuff...
    Cool play, love the visual overlay!

    Do you use a 9 as the 1st string? Is the sound not too light?

    • @tadwiltman4875
      @tadwiltman4875 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With the 26.5" scale length on the high side, you'd pretty much have to use a .009

  • @edgardoarroyo7418

    how hard is to change a 9v battery every 3 months🤷🏽

  • @blastbeatdown

    Chicken head inlay is the lamest thing about this guitar. The only thing that comes close is the ugly wooden knobs 😂 well done.
