Ireland is the best choice if you want to eventually get to the UK but can't due to changes in visa policy. Within 5 years you can get Irish citizenship then go to the UK or anywhere in the EU/EEA. Job opportunities & accomodation are more scarce in Ireland though.

Very depressing how the core concerns on this thread are 'what can I get' and 'how many can I bring' as opposed to 'How can I contribute' and 'integrate'!! Horrendous! 'Benefits' seem to be of the utmost importance too, unfortunately. Don't believe everything these 'influencers' are telling you since they exist solely to drive this agenda of false promises and it's becoming crystal clear that this will not end well!!

In Ireland you renew your GNIB yearly and you pay for it while in the Uk you get d 3years BRp and no yearly payment. I have lived in Ireland and now dthe Uk, I prefer d Uk 💯, Ireland is just Dublin and cork, Uk there are so many places you can really live and it won't be the rural life, also if your spouse is not in healthcare or maybe IT, it's really hard to get even menial job outside cork and Dublin, then in most county after 6pm no bus, then d NMbi is quite slow In their process, and if you are double qualified you have to get RN Pin then you request for the other pin, while in the Uk if you are a mental health nurse or midwife etc you Dont have to bother about the RN pin you just go get the pin of your speciality. Irish people are friendly, but at the end of the day it depends on what your individual goal, in the Uk here you see so many young nurses as Ward managers Ireland most of those managers are elderly and the mostly have a masters. The great thing about Ireland is the fact the consider your previous nursing experience. Then health care if you are not a citizen you pay 50 euro to see a Gp while uk is free, then you get prescription and go buy from the pharmacy at what ever charges, while in the Uk England you pay about 9.80 pound and in Scotland is free.

Irish people hate it when people come to Ireland to obtain a passport so as they can use it to work in other countries, that is abuse of the passport. To get citizenship / passport is a privilege and must be respected.
