To know what having a pet is like, imagine if you had a baby that could jump onto counters and had razor sharp teeth and claws.
Wait. Yours doesn't? Because mine does. My baby, that is. I thought that was normal. After eating the spoon a few times I learned to just throw food at his face and he snatches out of the air.

The owl house and gravity falls
Cats can survive a 5 story fall. It knows what it is doing.
That is just a myth, if a cat or any other living being falls from a great height it could suffer great injuries or death.
Survive doesn't mean you're okay after it.
I know a cat that went for a four stories jump and got both her legs in casts for what... Over a month, didn't stop the little devo' from running around her owner's apartment but yeah casts, a month, for four stories.
Remember this, surviving does NOT mean you are okay.
I have one smart dog and one dumb dog. Since I have a dog door, the dumb dog has hurt himself multiple times on the fence during storms, so he has to wear a harness and lead at home on rainy days, so he can only go outside about ten feet. The smarter dog basically rules the house, and is clever enough that she always gets her way.

I'm glad my little kitty acts as a doggo and seems a bit intelligent. Sweetest black cat that asks for things, doesn't ask for much and I swear he understands a few things that goes on.

Den, I definitely understand of the bug screen situation because my cats loves to claw on them to the point there's massive holes in the screens. I literally had to close my windows for a while because my fear of bugs, especially my phobia for spiders, coming into my room without me knowing scares the living crap out of me! But thankfully there are some bug screens out there that are very thick so your cat will have a problem trying to claw through them.
Around 8 or so years ago, my dog tried swallowing a rock whole, and it wasn't a small rock, it was a large rock. Luckily I removed it and I threw it into the woods, but she ran after it to try to swallow it again. I don't know why she did that, but at least I was able to remove it. The life lesson I learned... never let my dogs near strange rocks with odd moss on them.
They have stove knob covers, I would end up leaving them out. An my cat's would knock them around the house
Cats are very fussy eaters. Mine only eats Go-Cat and gravy Whiskas. Anything else, he just refuses to eat it.
He's an outdoor cat and is forbidden to go inside the house, incase he scratches the furniture and wallpaper, and hairs might get all over the sofa and carpet.
He doesn't get into too much trouble, but he does get into fights with other cats sometimes.
Its a good thing that Chew is domesticated, they wouldn't make it on the streets being that short sighted.

I never thought I could be more happy I have an elderly cat. She gets onto tables,and tries to eat stuff from the sink but atleast she doesn't try to turn the stove on,since she sleeps most of the day.

0:36 oh I know the type! my mom's dog used to need one as well when she was a few months old (she still does sometimes). The little gremlin could inhale her whole bowl in a few seconds and then patiently wait to inhale whatever was left in my dog's bowl as well! it got so bad we had to get her the special bowl and start putting my dog's and my mom's cat's bowls on the countertops (if there was anything left) to prevent her from getting sick.
3:14 I was about to add to comment that you should have bought one of the catproof ones... but when you mentioned metal wires I realized you have.... HOW?! those things are made specifically to be chewproof (pun intended)!

My cat Remi is an indoor/outdoor cat. And one day, in the morning, I was talking with my mom and she mentioned to me how some family friends, a few neighborhoods over, were seeing a lot of my missing cat posters and apparently there had been coyote sightings over there. It was really sad to think about but we never had a problem with coyotes. Until however we looked into our backyard. There was just a coyote sitting there. I started flipping out and went full defense mode. I chased the coyote away and immediately went to go find my cats who were outside at the time. One of my cats, Roxie, was chillin on the roof. And I'm like okay, she's smart. However my other cat Remi, was nowhere to be seen. I did however find him like 20 minutes later, I heard him meowing from under the porch, he seemed quite distressed and wouldn't come out. He was in a part under the porch where I couldn't reach him or see him, but I could hear him so I knew he was alive. At that point in time I had to go to work so I decided I would have to leave him under there until I got back. When I got back I couldn't hear him under the porch anymore and he wasn't anywhere else. I spent like the entire afternoon calling for him until I decided to check the security footage. TURNS OUT THE COYOTE LITERALLY ATTACKED HIM IN THE MORNING, AND CHASED HIM UNDER THE DECK. While I was watching the video my heart sank so fucking far. He started out on the back deck and was chased around the side of the house, then up a tree, and then the coyote like had him in his mouth before he was able to wriggle away and get under the porch. They were under there for a good few minutes before the coyote came out. Remi however did not. This was also before I went to go check on him. I realized that Remi had probably been hurt in the fight and was slowly dying of his wounds under the porch, and that's why I heard him meowing. I was so scared, but I immediately went to go check the spot where he was hiding under the deck. It was a strange pile of bricks under there where he was hiding but I was able to get a flashlight and see the spot where he was. And Im not even kidding HE WASNT THERE. THERE WAS JUST A POSSUM THERE?? LIKE WHAT THE FUCK WHERE DID MY CAT GO??? At that point we assumed he ran off sometime during the day and was just dying of his wounds in some hole or something. I did not sleep well that night. When morning comes around low and behold, he wasn't there at first. My mom had the screened in porch open, and about 10 minutes later we hear a distinct munching. And there he is, Remi, eating his food like he always does. We took him to the vet and he literally did not have a single scratch on him somehow. He is just fat we assume the coyote just couldn't get a good hold on him.

My cats sometimes try to get their head stuck in my coffee table and I always panic while my sister gets them out of the table. I love my pets but sometimes they’re dummies😭
And that’s why I don’t plan on owning a pet in any part of my future.
However, I applaud you and those who can handle staying on your toes on the daily.

My first dog patches once tried to lift himself onto our family coffee table so he could rest and sleep on it... sadly the coffee table top was pure glass. When me and my sisters came home he had somehow broke the table and not managed to cut himself. Patches had this unusual talent of defying death while causing the most damage to our house.

Reminds me of the time when I was letting my family dog called Benji do zoomies in the garden
My family garden is basically one main back garden and a side garden, the side garden having decking that has a shed and area to put table and chairs
Benji ran to the side garden, out of view, only to return limping with a bleeding paw, most likely caused by him slipping off the decking when running from the side garden to the main back garden
Ended up having to drive him to the vets and the vet ended up stitching up the wound, which lead to Benji experiencing the cone of shame for the first time
Speaking of pets, sorry if I trauma dump on y'all... 😅
I just put my dog down yesterday. Her name was Lucy, sweet 8 year old dog, but was aggressive towards our other female dog and my parents, and I never knew where the aggressiveness came from, but we knew she was an alpha since Lucy became a year old and the two never had a separate cage. The two females, Lucy and Una, did good until when Una was a year old. It became bad, and we had to separate them until this day.
I don't need a reminder that animals can be very dumb of every other occasion. My 2 dogs, Lucy & Lily, are enough proof to me.
For a fun example. Lucy who is an older chihuahua is grew up in the streets most of her life & is currently 12 years old. Every day & every time Lucy sees someone sitting in a chair, she waits in the shadow for them to move to get at the warmth they leave behind when they get up for even a second. And the logical thing for dogs to do is to move when they see the original owner of the seat is coming back, but not for Lucy. She will stay in the seat until the original owner of the seat is moments from crushing her. As for Lily, she is a baby rat terrier who is currently 3 years old & is my dad's emotional support animal. Whenever she's on the ground, she doesn't move if we walk in her direction & continues to walk instead of picking her up. So she stays still, completely paralyzed, even when we ask her to move. And she finally realizes that us humans aren't gonna stop moving she spazzes out & go "No grip, no grip, no grip" mode of my dad's hardwood floors until she slinks past us instead of just moving to where there's no space for her to move around. And that's just the beginning. Lucy likes to eat plastic just because it's on the ground, Lily one time fell out of a chair that has more than enough room for her to sit in, Lucy bonked her head on a closes door before she heard my mom's voice on the other side, Lily doesn't like to jump up on my dad's bed if there's even 1 small whatever "blocking her", & so much more. But we all love them & thing they are very adorable & think they are 2 total dummy doggies. 🐶🐕
I've lived with cats all my life and yeah, they can be straight up menaces sometimes.
I remember one time I caught my mom's late cat (aka, my cat's brother) holding a tac in his mouth. Fortunately, I didn't have to say anything or pry it out of his mouth, he just spit it out. I couldn't freak out, I was too busy laughing at how cute his expression was, as if he had been caught (plus it looked like a binky) 😂

Lol, I understand having to take the knobs off of the stove. Years ago my parents weren't in the mood to cook so we ordered pizza. We stupidly left the boxes on the stove. I was in the dining room since that was where our computer was and I was taking a test. And thank God I was. Next thing I know I hear the stove clicking and the dog running out of there like her life depended on it. I walk in and the boxes were on fire. I ended up using the sink sprayer to put it out while screaming for everyone.😅
