    The glue on the Duck Tape will react with the silver backing and you will see discolouration/stains after a few months. There is however a special adhesive for mirrors that is stable and not cause the staining effect.

    This video is amazing.. I just following the steps, but you need to write more in deacription. That you need to do sanding after the paint removing step. Because after using paint remover, the silver layer didn't com out. So we need to do sanding.
    For more information by my experience (just did it today), i sanded it using 320 grit of sandpaper and water.
    And one more thing i found by experiment. It will be better if we using masking tape that made off plastic or other material that will not scratch when applying the paint remover. I meant it will be more better if it not a paper material masking tape.
    Overall this video really good.
    Thanks a lot. 🙏

    • @gudvooy2
      @gudvooy2  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sanding is needed when you don't have the etching cream to make the glass blurry. You can do the sanding process without using paint remover.
      Yes you are right, if we use a much better tape and have a better adhesiveness. You might have more cleaned and sharper edges.

      Eching cream is use for glasses to make them blurry. You can find it to ebay or amazon. If it is not available, you can use sand paper to make the glass blurry.

    Lo único que quedo horrible fue las lineas donde aplicaste el removedor de pintura, si hubiese usado una cinta adhesiva de mejor calidad, te hubiese quedado bien definido el delineado translúcido.

    Does this sensor work without removing the mirrored surface? Can I just place it in the center at the bottom and touch that spot or do I need clear glass for it to work properly.
    Thanks for posting the video. The connections are all very clear.

    • @drazmishah
      @drazmishah 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      ive never done it, im still researching about it before i do mine. but based on what i read - if u dont remove the mirrored surface - u wont get to enjoy the blue, red or white indicator colours. and the point to touch would be almost a secret that only u would know haah

    • @oaklandboy11
      @oaklandboy11 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@drazmishah It actually doesn't work through the mirrored surface, it has to be a clear spot. My inquiry was because I got a mirror with LED lights around the perimeter, but the vendor hadn't put in a touch switch and I wanted to add one. My solution was to add the sensor in the clear track for the lights, at the bottom in the middle. I have a lit up rectangle in that spot. Not perfect, but it doesn't look bad, at least not as much as I would have thought.
