    I’m interested in Greenlight max but only for the phone protection and the lost or damaged items. How does that part work?

  • @hockeystar1747
    @hockeystar1747 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Is the invest part an entire separate card? My sons green light card is coming between Friday and next Monday. And he just asked for the invest part. If I did get the invest would it send an entire other card so we would have to wait and other 1-2 weeks? Or maybe could it add on the invest to the existent card.

      @Theo-wl6pc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it will be the same card. You’re just upgrading your “subscription”. It just gives you more access with your current card.

    • @grandmafrenchie3390
      @grandmafrenchie3390 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      File taxes if they are cashing out their gains which is creating taxable income. Also pay taxes on dividends.
      I would teach your kids to invest their money long term.
      You are their custodian so you have a say. Tell them they will need to keep their stock investment long term until they are at least 21 years old. No buying and Selling stocks as a child, period! Buy yes. Sell no. No trading.
      Kids are very eager, and can give into peer pressure when they are teens to buy the latest gadget (or buy a car) and blow their money. You want to protect their money.

    I have a question: does Greenlight provide an app for children?
    Or is the app just for the parents?
    It would be great to have an app where the child can directly save his/her money without parents.

      We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you; however, we do have an option for you to receive payments through our Paylink feature! The link is located in your app as long as the feature is turned on by the parent, and it can be shared with friends and family!

    How different is the stock investment than Roth IRA’s?

    • @jcortizenterprises
      @jcortizenterprises 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stocks, you’re buying a tiny piece of a company. When the company grows, your shares grow. Roth IRA’s are savings programs that are tax free. Roth IRA‘s grow because the manager of that IRA invest the money for you but they also charge you fees.

    • @josefhudson
      @josefhudson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s different because it is not an investment account. So there are no restrictions on how much you can contribute and when you can withdraw it.

    • @grandmafrenchie3390
      @grandmafrenchie3390 ปีที่แล้ว

      Roth IRA's are great retirement accounts where the money you put in has already been taxed, so your money grows tax free.
      A stock can actually be bought in a Roth IRA brokerage account. You can purchase stocks, mutual funds, index funds, and ETFs in the Roth IRA account.
      Everyone who is qualified should be investing in a Roth IRA.

    So what should children learn when after a few years their stock investment crashes with the market. They see their investment dwindle while watching large Corporations continue to profit? Don't let children gamble! Banks have slow growth, but you don't lose your money. In the end slow growth out preforms market losses for small investors! But if you want your child to learn hard market lesson's ,by all means invest away! Teach your children to save, NOT INVEST!
