I was there-go every year to Naon no Yaon, female rockers' fest. Nemophila were the first band on after opening acts, an unusual place for them. 3-song set, as usual. They sounded fine with one guitar, though honestly I prefer the two-guitar sound. Interesting feature of NnY is the mixing and matching of the various band members in the 2nd half of the show to support the solo vocalists. Also the Princess Princess medley at the end of the 1st half, when the various band vocalists perform together. Always a great show.
As for what they say at the end. Hazuki asks "How was Naon no Yaon?" She goes on to talk about what a privilege it is to play with her "senpai" at NnY. "Senpai" means seniors, and she talking about the 2nd half of the show, when the various band members from the 1st half back the solo vocalists, who are generally veteran rockers. ("Senpai"/"kohai"-senior/junior-relationships are very important in Japanese society, which is more strictly vertically structured than Western societies are.) Tamu briefly says that content will continue to be put up on y t. Haraguchi-san is talking about the band's upcoming gigs (this was recorded in May), including the Million Rock Fest in June in Ishikawa Prefecture, which was hammered by an earthquake in January. Mayu refers to the new Nemophila and says do keep following us.
IMO, the eyes are, “a window to the soul.” The deep black pupils of many Japanese provide a sort of mysterious vibe. I love it, but I’m biased. Nemophila just completed shooting a new music video. They haven’t provided a release date yet, but maybe another Nemo-Friday is in our future. Could be much later. ❤️🌸
The more of your NEMOPHILA reactions I see, the more I'm starting to wonder if you're my brother from another mother! 😉 On another note, though still NEMOPHILA related, or more to the point Mayu related, have you seen NEMOPHILA's studio cover of Foo Fighters' song "Walk" from about a year ago?. It's well known that Mayu's favourite band is Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl in particular so it's well worth taking a look at it. Whilst all band members feature they're basically taking a back seat and it's all about Mayu up front. She knocks it out of the park!
NaonのYaon is an event organised by Keiko Terada and Show-Ya, who have been great friends and mentors to Nemophila and lots of other young, female bands. It showcases Japan's female musicians and gives them a chance to collaborate and have fun together. It seems kind of weird to see the NaonのYaon stage without SAKI's custom shop Marshall JVM and cab, which were always so conspicuous in the backline, but the band sounds great regardless. Also, Mayu always seem to find it impossible to speak on camera without laughing.
This 1st public appearance of Nemophila since Saki. Not dolled up or wearing matching outfits. Mayu wearing casual (comfortable) blue pants & black tshirt, Hara-chan ripped jeans & tshirt They always put more effect into there performance than appearance, occasionally will they go all out with matching outfits & dolled up. Tbh i dont think there too comfortable doing this You should check out Nemo's free TH-cam live show (20min) What Mayu is wearing really shows its more about the music & fun than appearance. It also incls kickass live ver SOD Sugar
Seen them live twice and besides being extremely talented musicians they are incredibly charismatic with their crowd engagement. You can't help but love them.
Speaking of being like "a pig in shit", I bought tickets to the show of your dreams this weekend. Slipknot and Babymetal Nov 9th in Mexico City. I've got feeling something special is gonna happen and after having to bail on the Band-Maid/Warning show, I couldn't take the chance on missing this one too
..and…They are really lovely and beautiful ladies. Tamu has her own YT-channel and she just made one hour livestream there and it’s still there to watch and if you put translation on you can understand maybe 90% of everything she discuss with the chat audience. She is very adorable person and her English is actually pretty good 👍 Edit: if you search for Tamu Murata, there are two channels, it’s not the MURATATAM-channel, it’s the other one 👍
I was surprised by Tamu's stream. I've heard her speak a few words of English before, but she knows more than I realised. Amazing woman who can do pretty much anything/everything.
I missed Tamu’s live stream, but have watched the upload. Actually I watch every upload and try my hardest to participate. I’ve said it before, but her English is very good and easy to understand. I hope she fills in Saki’s role as translator for the group on streams and US concerts.
