Yes, for me that is one of the biggest negatives - in comparison with other Mediterranean countries, the green spaces are very scarce..

If there are no trees there how come people have lived there for thousands of years.

Obviously there are some trees, especially outside the big cities, in rural areas. There is even a forest - but if you compare the nature to other Mediterranean countries, its scarce and you do not find parks and streets lines with trees. For thousands of years? Sure but remember Malta is has changed a lot since then, and even the Knights of St Jahn, when they arrived, did not want to stay here as the land was not fertile. Greenery is a luxury in Malta, and it is very rare that you look through your window and see trees.

Hello! I would recommend searching for a room on Martetplace (facebook), as this is the most dinamic and popular platform here in Malta. But dont pay in advance - best to see the room and then make a quick decision. Good luck!

How much studio cost

Studios are not easy to find as most apartments tend to be large, definitely larger than in the UK. Plus the prices rocketed in recent months, but I have friends who still managed to find a studio in Msida for 650 EUR, or in Gzira for 750 EUR. I will make a video on studios rental prices in Sliema, Gzira, St Julians areas soon so please keep in touch and check later :)
