    This concept of Human Life and the fact that you can interpret it however you want is so brilliant. I can't put into words how much I love this game. I literally want to live in it.

    I am a grandma player since 2019. I am also an artist, traveler, author. I think Sky is brilliant. I appreciate so much about it. I finished all the gates long ago, it is important for people to know this is NOT the end of game. Onward you go, with new events and rehealms, to keep us going.I do get concerned with the real life feelings of the some the players (it's easy to fall in love with an avatar) but what game can you play where your fellow players are from all over the world! Including those going through difficult times (war, and controversy) and to find we are all the same when it comes to wanting safety, love, care. The translation ability is genius! I have noticed through the years the changes devs have had to make, and the changing players (ie, less Chinese players because of government restrictions on students on the internet) and that is interesting too. I feel famous, since I am a veteran. I love helping moths especially with other friends (who fly better than me!) and Aurora has such a beautiful philosophy young and old people can relate to, our changing planet. Thank you for being the game the world needs.

    Wow. Very informative video. I must say, with all the hard work that they've done for this game, they really don't deserve a 1 star rating just because some players got mad with the change that they've made to enhance the game. They always feel worried on the feedback that the players are giving and always want to resolve the concerns. So I wish players would be more kind and gentle to them when giving feedback and not say trashy words. This company is really unique and amazing. Keep up the good work guys! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    I want to point out possible factors as to why people are giving up on the game so early when Aaron Jessie is speaking at 1:11:40. Couple of suggestions from my experience:
    -Make the new player available to add friends from the second the game starts. That's a huge factor that i saw while i was trying to get my friends to play it. They got bored in the Dawn level and couldn't even finish off even the tutorial. Lot's of people don't know when the tutorial finishes too and what they have to do in order to add people.
    -Make the Dawn level have a blue scent like trace to where the player is supposed to go. Give them a sense of an objective from the first minute because it take a bit of walking to discover the spirit in the Dawn level. The first beach and cave take a little bit too much walking the blue scent trace can start from the beginning of the Dawn level.
    I think these couple of changes would improve a lot the initial part of the game.
    That being said i love this game and i got to finished it with my cousin. I was a huge fan of "Journey" and i think this is a celestial experience of a game. It's beautiful.

      I noticed this issue amongst new players as well, especially the one regarding adding friends. but the blue trace concept you mentioned might be a bit unnecessary, the entire level structure is already making you curious and want to fly upwards.

      If you can add friends all willy nilly, friendship loses its value. You must give something away to show your commitment. I think the game is not for everyone, those who understand the meaning and value of the game push through, those who do not should simply move on to something else so as to not disrupt the peace of the Sky world.

    Absolutely awesome breakdown of what type of hacks and techniques are needed for such a small memory footprint game. Also hey Cecil (one of the best instructors I had at Gnomon back in 2011) and my fellow ex-The Evil Within crew :) Hope y'all are well, keep kicking ass at thatgamecompany.

    It's just so sad that they clearly said that
    No "races"and "nationality" in the sky.
    but end up admit BIG Chinese companies pressure to make new year item for using Chinese culture. Netease did this dirty again 😔.

    It’s awesome but can you guys have more spirits and pose even a secret island of the two goddess made like a long time ago even more caps and even dark dragon turn into a light dragon when the goddess give them light I got thinking of it a lot of times

    • @solarprogeny6736
      @solarprogeny6736 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, if you've played Journey, you know about the dragons in that game. Something very important about them is that they were created by the people as *weapons of war*. Their goal was to seek cloth creatures, attack them and imprison them within their bodies.
      In Sky, the same can be inferred about the Dark Dragons. They are creatures created for war. The world was becoming selfish, there was not enough light for everyone, giant fortresses were actually big factories of light with big pipes coming out. The dragons seek that light and steal it from creatures.
      This is why I don't think there are "light dragons". They are not corrupt, they are the source of corruption, of greed, a product of it that turned into a giant war and eventually, the death of a civilization. To go back to a happier time, means to eliminate the existence of these warmachines altogether.

    • @johnathanegbert9277
      @johnathanegbert9277 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      But the Krill/Dark Dragons are moreso fearsome apex predators that destroy everything they can see, they caused the death of the civilization yes, but they seem like natural creatures unlike War Machines which are weaponized Cloth Whales
      And Crabs are territorial, living rocks that are the only lifeforms safe from Krill (Darkness plants glow, meaning Krill would be able to see them and destroy them, especially the bulbs which serve reproductive purposes, rendering the plants infertile, while the only part of a Crab that glows is the eyes, and Crabs can turn easily)

      It generally depends on what kind of game you are making. I also recommend getting a second opinion, and playing/ looking at games that to one of those two or both.

    I love this video and how they explained everything but the new season ruins all of this. Humble design? Well in the new season they added capes that look too flashy and not like sky anymore. They said they want to keep the sky child design simple but then why did they made such funky capes and hair. Undercut hair and a suit as pants? It doesn't feel like sky anymore. ;-;

      You are free to wait out Sanctuary and embrace whatever the next Season beyond it would be that would cater to your preference over whatever your idea of Sky is. The developers, after all of their hard work during this pandemic, are not forcing you to spend money or time on more free content they've crafted. :)

      If you don't understand TGC's vision, then you don't understand the inherent naivety and innocence of Sky and of the Sky Children. They are playful creatures who like to adventure, experiment and try new things. That also means looking wacky and wearing crazy outfits.
