Hi mate yea the drag washers where abit average it has been replaced with carbon washers now but still abit iffy on that reel after this day that was a good fish I lost that day
Hey mate love the videos keep them up 👍🏽👍🏽I Are you casting over the wrecks as you drift, or just flicking the bail arm to let the plastic drop before you drift on top of them ?
Thanks mate.👍👍👍👍👍👍 I normally just drop it all the fish i see are under the boat,no point throwing my lure away from what I can see and I like just drift my lure down to try make it as natural as possible instead of the line pulling on it 👍👍👍👍
hey boss great vids love your stuff i subbed! i go over to moreton once a year and struggle at curtain, i'm heading over again with the old man in november and i was wondering what plastics you were using?
Cheers mate I use gulp soft plastics mainly 5 inch jerk shad in the glow colour or pink shine and i use 4 inch jigging grubs in like a pumpkin or pink shine also most gulp works its just matter of getting it down the bottom with the current that oumps through there
Mate the whole idea of the closure is to leave the snapper alone to breed. They can't breed while you're catching them. Go fish for something else during the closure. Bream, flathead, tailor are all sensible options
That day I was trying to get a few sweetlip as the trip before I got a few in the same areas, I wasn't actually trying to catch them its just they hang around the same areas and thats how the day turned out its only cause of the close season i reckon I caught that many they all went back and I fully agree with the close season im all for it i just cant pick and choose what eats my plastics on the day .
Was it drag washers worn out in that reel or mucked up placing of the stainless washers between them. ?

Hi mate I use a 4000/5000 size reels
