Oh this is a great question! I find it best when I’m listening to music, I like looking up playlists/ making my own that fit certain genres and add to the vibe of the book in reading. Also instrumental music is great for providing nice background noise but not as distracting.. If you’re easily distracted and prefer quiet to focus, reading before bed is nice and gets you away from your phone too! I will say the more you read the easier it gets to stay focused, so even trying to read a little each day will slowly make it easier for you, hope this helps :)
I recently finished ACOSF and really enjoyed it! For me it did not compare to ACOMAF/ACOWAR but I still ate the book up hahaha. Currently reading song of Achilles! And I love how poetic her writing is and I am deffo in love with Patroclus and Achilles but I’m scared cos I know something bad has to happen soon! X

You should read Chemical Hearts if you haven’t read it. I’m not much of a reader but I absolutely loved it and would recommend it. It’s just beautifully written and I think you’d really enjoy it if you have not ever read it. But great video!
I’m sorry to say I just can’t stand Song Of Achilles. It was recommended to me by a friend and unfortunately I just hated it. I like the concept and how Miller tries to adapt the myths, however the writing is so amateurish and the pacing and plot layout is horrendous. The characters I felt literally had no depth at all. I never knew why the two main characters were in love because the book just told me they are rather than actually build it up properly. The interpretation of the Trojan War was horrendous I felt and the ending literally made me throw the book down and just say “NO” with an eye roll. I like listening to you and why people enjoy this book cause I’m trying to find something to like in it. Unfortunately I can’t. Maybe it didn’t help that my friend recommended me a list with this book in between authors Dickens and Carlos Ruiz Zafon, who are just masterful storytellers.

Not everyone’s taste in books is the same! I read some classics in school and because of that I didn’t really enjoy them, I’ve found books I like since then. Maybe I’ll go back to classics at some point but I like the books I read at the moment!
