Seeing these Tasmanian scenes makes me reminisce of the great days on the North East Raiway 'Over The Billycock' to Ledgerwood. How on earth did the Tasmania NOT see the most interesting sections of railway in Australia? Need to plan now to keep the Emu Bay line.....IDEAS ANYONE!?
I managed to find some photos in the archives of the National Railway Museum at Port Adelaide of MA2 and MA4 double heading on the North East line, including turning the locos on the wye at Nabowla. I have put in a request to publish them on the channel as it would be nice to get the history out to the community.
