👏👏👏 awesome run mate ❤
Cheers! Yeah it was certainly one of my most enjoyable runs of last year!
Love your videos. This was a great one! You deserve a wider audience with more followers!
Ah thanks Iain! It's great to hear someone enjoying the videos although Yeah there is prob more I should be doing to push the channel!
Great video Paul. Congratulations on the run
Thanks Robert, glad you enjoyed it! It was a great route to run!
Brilliant video congratulations on your achievement
Cheers David! 👍
Wowser. Fab video - just had to add this to my ever growing bucket list - so thanks ( I think?)
Aw thank you Rachel! It's a great route, much better and more varied than I had expected!
Epic that they give you a certificate that's cool. Paul could defo notice a shift in your running gait later in day. How has the achilles held up. Every OK now. Great video mate and huge kudos on the run
Cheers man! Think it was the connection between calf and achillies, seemed to heal up pretty quick thankfully! Defo slowed me down and glad I didn't do any lasting damage by pushing on!!
Brilliant video, some effort well done
Cheers man!
Should do a video of your history with running and how you got started would be very interested in hearing about that
Another great adventure, thanks for posting. The last leg looks the one I would like to do most, if I could
Thank you! I think the last section is the route they use for the John Muir way ultra!
I just found your chamnel, brilliant to watch your adventures across Scotland. Thanks for taking us along.
Welcome aboard!! Hope to do more of the Scottish trails over this next year!
Great effort. The massive hedge is JK Rowlings gaff!
That's one way to keep your privacy!! 😂
Quick question how does someone get in to ultra running that's never done it before ???
I guess first you gotta start with an enjoyment for running. From there it's simply running a bit further each time. Races are a great way to push yourself.
I also finished it but in 8 days lol crazy effort. Atb
Ah cheers man! Well I'm sure you got to enjoy alot more of the scenery than I did!! 😂
Fantastic video, thank you :) I saw you in the RAS 2023, where I pulled put at 100 miles....signed up again this year. What did you find the most difficult and/or rewarding? The 215 (220) Mile organised race or this 215km self motivated run?
Hey man! Bummer about the RAS but glad to hear you're back again this year!
Yeah good question... RAS by far the most difficult. Only problem I had was that I was so tired and buggered by the end it's hard to get the full sense of accomplishment straight away. It was a good few days before it all sank in.
Where as with the JMW, whilst still hard, it was more like a staged event, resting each night, starting (somewhat) fresh and indeed finishing not completely buggered. So I probably had a bigger sense of achievement as I was finishing that.
I certainly like mixing up the organised events with my own solo challenges. Each come with their own different perspectives!
Anyway, good luck with the RAS this year!
Cheers for that. Good luck with your adventures and keep posting the content!@@TheRandomRunner
Great video Paul. Loved that conversation you were having with yourself about going up Law. I have them often and it only ever goes one way! 😂
Haha, yeah I think it's the first time I've ever actually noticed that the decision was already made... Even if I hadn't realised it yet!! 😂
Coments for the range and for Your Parents
Wish everyone had support from Family when needed
Well done
Excellent planning skills
Great Video
Enjoyed Watching
Good Luck 🤞🏻
Thank you so much! Yes very lucky to have parents come out and support me on these long runs! ♥
I don't know you and you don't know me but I stumbled upon your video of the Cape Wrath Trail. Love your style of story telling, showing the scenery and the beard!
Aw thank you so much, really enjoy making the videos even if they do take twice as long to edit as it does to run!! 😂 Oh and glad to hear you like the beard!! 👍
Always brilliant video. Thank you to film it i am sure it isn’t super jolly old the time but you hide it well 😉😂
Congratulations again
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, was hard at the time but never seems so bad once it's all finished!!
Another cracking video . Met Gavin at this years Cape Wrath Ultra . Top Bloke . Keep up the awesome adventures .
Ah good stuff, yeah always nice to run with Gavin, good company! Cheers man!

Brilliant!! It's a great route and looks like you're in for some good weather... Enjoy!!
Thank you
Brilliant! Got my certificate yesterday and they told me at the museum about your effort! Had to watch it as I can´t remember the last three days 🙂
Good stuff man, well done! Yeah a nice bonus getting the certificate at the end! 👍
Great video. This is on my 'to do' list, but it won't be in 3 days. Top effort.
Cheers man! Defo recommend it, such a good and varied route with plenty of options of places to stay!
Great effort. Well done. Best wishes on the net adventure.
Thanks! Still a few things lined up for this year! Watch this space!
Brilliant video Paul, looks a cracking route as well. Well done m8 👍
Cheers man! Yeah such a varied route, better than I was expecting!!
Yesssss! Glad i decided to look at some more of your vlogs mate. This again was epic. Really giving me some inspiration for future running plans. Well done again and very well edited.
Really enjoyed that, great trail.
Cheers Paul! The route was great, expected to spend alot longer on the canal path but loads of interesting trails off! 👍
Fantastic vid 😊
Cheers man! 👍
Paul, just wanted to say how much me and my mates enjoyed this VLOG / video. We’re up in Scotland for some mountaineering but today’s 80-100 mph winds have led us to find entertainment indoors…😂
We have done a fair bit of our own endurance stuff like running Hadrian’s wall over 2 days, running across Devon over 4 days and Ironman, ultras etc but we all had to give you a big Kudos for the distance you nailed in day one 👏. We also cheered when you made the decision to climb the hill even though you were juggling a dodgy Achilles. It was absolutely the best choice to make and gave us a real insight to your character. 👊
We also all had a big laugh on day 3 when you said “why do I do this to myself” as we have all also asked our self the same question 😂
Great video, really well presented
Top job.
Thanks for sharing
Chris, Ali, Andy and Gwen
Hey guys, sorry to hear your plans have been interrupted by the weather and you've been forced to watch my hairy face running wild around Scotland 😂 Glad you enjoyed the video and hope the weather and time allows you to get get out into the mountains during u your visit!
