What wonderful dolls! I've never seen Maplelea dolls before, I just LOVE their round chubby little faces. I hope you thoroughly enjoy each other, thanks for another fabulous video! 🕊️💖😊
Thank you! I love their round faces too. 🥰Thanks for watching and being so open to the various dolls in my collection. It seems like you are interested in different types of dolls yourself. Do you have a favourite?
Love your new little girl. We don’t see many Maplelea dollls in the states so it’s fun seeing your beautiful doll. Also love the matching plaid shirts!
Hi Janet, thank you so much. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing her. I will try and show more MapleLea dolls on my channel as I add them to my collection. It’s a very comfy shirt. 🥰
You won’t believe it-I always want to wear my red and black plaid when I open Maplelea too! Your Saila has much nicer eyes than mine - her left one is sculpted lower than her right, so you definitely got a good one!
I’m thrilled to have my Saila and so happy that you saw my video opening her. Thanks for telling me about her eyes. I never mind when the dolls are not perfectly symmetrical. It makes them more realistic in my opinion. When I look at her it’s as if she has a little soul. ❤ I always like the shirts you wear in your videos. It was fun to twin with Taryn in my favourite cozy shirt. 😃
Saila is beautiful and this collection is amazing. I love the detail and style of the journal and their clothes in this doll line, which I haven’t seen much. I also just love that Canada has a special doll line. ❤ Congratulations and enjoy! 😊 (ps: I am US-based but have travelled to east and west Canada on various occasions for work and vacation. Beautiful country and people, and hope to visit more soon). 😊
I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed seeing Saila's collection and journal! I wondered if it would make the video boring so I'm happy it was of value to you. I'm glad you have visited Canada. I live on the West Coast in the Greater Vancouver area where I grew up. I love it here. I hope you get a chance to visit again. Thanks for watching and your thoughtful comments! Do you collect any dolls yourself?
@ Oh yes, boy do I collect! Have been low key collector most of my life, but during pandemic, like many, swung into it on turbo mode during the past couple of years. More so Barbie and similar size, and the Tonner dolls fashion and some of his playline, Gene Marshall, but also to the dismay of my wallet, Smart doll (but I love them) 😌. I have one American Girl, Josefina, from my 20s that I bought to play with my young nieces at the time who were getting them in the early Y2Ks. I love her, and her outfits and story, but I’ve tried not to go down that rabbit hole with the larger young girl dolls. Instead I’m getting sucked into Ruby Red siblies. Started with Ten Ping and her friend, and siblings because I love her story and traditional costumes. And then of course I held off a few weeks but then I broke down and got the VDC siblies…..so as you said, and we all say this: “I know I said I wasn’t going to buy more dolls for now….but…” 😊. Oh well. They are a sustainable joy. ❤️ I enjoy your channel and the fun and joy you show with your collection.
Aww what a nice comment and so nice of you to share all of that! I love that you had young nieces to play dolls with for a time. I have a "Niece" that I sometimes play dolls with. She is actually my Son's Fiance's Niece but we are really close. She loves coming to my house to see all my dolls. She always comments that I must have more dolls than anyone. The Ruby Red dolls are adorable and I'm avoiding that rabbit hole at the moment. The smart dolls are really cool too but really big and my 18" dolls already take up a lot of space. It's such a fun hobby and I love sharing it with everybody here. Thanks for watching and following my channel. It means a lot. ❤️💕
I think so too! Saila is beautiful! 😊She has very kind eyes. How was your Halloween? I liked your old tree project. I need to go back and watch it in more detail. 😁
That is so cool! I am still fairly new to collecting 18” dolls but I’m so happy I discovered MapleLea dolls too! I realize now that I was pronouncing Saila’s name wrong. Thank you. I hope you enjoy your new doll. I love their clothes too. 😄💕Thanks for sharing with me.
Saila is such a beautiful doll, and how special that her extensive journal comes in her own language too. The journal looks so interesting. I'm new to Maplelea dolls so this was a great intro. Thanks!
I’m so happy that you enjoyed exploring this new MapleLea doll with me! I think she is really special. Which one do you think you will add to your collection from this line?
They are really great dolls, I'm happy with her! I especially appreciate the journals full of educational information on each doll and where they are from. I know you like beach themed dolls. Do you have any Canadian themed dolls in your collection?
Hi Cheryl - I love your Canadian shirt and beanie. My assistant lives in Toronto and sometimes shares yummy Canadian treats with me. ❤ Anyway, love your new doll and your MapleLea doll collection! What a nice box she came in. She’s a cutie! ☺️
Thanks for watching Kim! I guess you have tried maple syrup cookies and candies then? ☺️ I’m glad you liked her clothes. I am going to enjoy these girls. 🥰
@ yes! She always brings me all the yummy things! ☺️ I really do love your new doll - I don’t have any dolls like this in my collection but enjoy seeing your collection. I looked this one up - she has so many cute clothes and honestly super reasonable. How fun! I love her! 😍
I have two Maplelea dolls and a small collection of their clothes and accessories. I have almost 100 American Girl dolls and a lot of their furniture, clothes, accessories, etc. My first Maplelea doll, Emberlyn Bennu, is my favorite.❤ Thanks for your video!
Really enjoying your video! I think the dress that Taryn was wearing is a discontinued piece from Saila's collection!! I'll have to check my older catalogues... Taryn looks gorgeous in her cozy Canadian outfit!!! I love Maplelea! I have Jenna and Léonie, and they are both among my very favourites!!! I definitely intend to add more to my collection, though! Congrats on your gorgeous Saila!!!
I love Jenna and Léonie! I hope to get them as well someday. Thank you for watching my video and for the tip on the dress. Please let me know if you figure out which character it goes with. I would love to know that. 😍
I’ve collected American Girl dolls for years but I just ordered my first Maplelea doll. I’m excited! She’s #51. Maplelea clothing is the best quality! I have several wonderful Maplelea outfits. I was told her name is pronounced Sy-Luh.
I’m SO glad you made this video because my best friend bought me one of these dolls for Christmas and I can’t wait to see what doll she bought me! She does have a gentle peaceful look to her. I absolutely loved this video! The journal is such a special touch and brings your doll character to life- LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! 🩷
I am so glad you love them too! I think I am hooked and look forward to getting more clothes. Which outfit is your favourite from MapleLea? I think I would love the witch costume if it goes on sale. 😁
She is so adorable! Congrats on your new addition to your doll family! I’m definitely considering putting in a Maplelea order sometime next year! Their clothes just look so darling & well-made!
I love Saila. I purchased her ten years ago and I still feel amazed by her and her story. I just ordered her kuspuk. I also have Charlsea, Jenna and Brianne. I’m thinking of Leonie or KMF51. I collect all sorts of dolls and Maplelea dolls are one of my favorites!
It’s so much fun to add to your collection. I hope you enjoy your kuspuk! I will have to look that up to see what it is. LOL It's so interesting to learn about her culture. Do you notice a very big difference between your Saila from ten years ago to how she looks now?
@ My Saila has straighter hair with a gentle curve at the very end. That difference might be due to box hair.😂 Otherwise I think they look very similar! I did take Charlsea to Salt Springs Island…..so fun. Her story is inspired me to go there.
I was just unboxing another doll today, and I mentioned looking at Saila and being tempted to buy her. (I haven't edited yet, so it isn't up for mow). Really wonderful dolls!
I hope you do get Saila. You have opened some really wonderful dolls on your channel lately. Your collection is enviable. I can see they bring you as much joy as they give me. Do you have a favourite doll line or do you just love them all? he he 🥰
Congratulations on getting saila! She's absolutely beautiful! I found out about maplelea late last year and bought saila right around new years and have been in love since! The quality of maplelea is absolutely amazing and i have definitely splurged on their stuff alot in the short time I've known about them😂 ohmygosh you have saila's giggles dress on taryn!😍 I desperately want to collect all of saila's outfits from her entire collection but sadly most of it is retired and is EXTREMELY hard to find in the states, especially as far down south as i am. That dress is one of my favorites, especially since i have a dress very similar to it myself 😂 oh and the regalia dress you're talking about is called Canyon's dress. I have it and can assure you it's absolutely worth getting! The quality is amazing and the material is super soft to the touch!
Thank you so much! Saila is definitely a special doll. I love that you have been adding to your collection! ☺️ Thank you for telling me about the Giggles dress. I didn't know it was called that. I don't have many MapleLea dolls or clothes yet but I'm excited to slowly build my collection. Thank for sharing. Do you have any other MapleLea characters besides Saila?
@CherishedDollFriends you're welcome 😊 No, so far saila is the only maplelea doll i have. I do have a few others in my wishlist I want to get, but I haven't gotten any of them yet. Just outfits and accessories 😂 I do have a small collection of american girl dolls as well so saila isn't alone😂 well technically that floral dress of saila's is called Katajjaq Giggles, but I sometimes shorten names and so I usually call it the giggles dress😂 it's so cute and I hope to find it one day.
I loved hearing about your collection plans and I'm glad Saila isn't alone. 😊I found that giggles dress on a thrifted MapleLea doll quite a while ago. She was an older Leone doll but she wasn't that pretty so I re-sold her but kept the dress for Taryn. She also had on a pretty silver rain coat and silver shoes which I also kept. I need to go shopping for more clothes! Have a great weekend.
I just bought Saila she still in the box haven’t enjoyed her she is my first Mapalea doll I am waiting to start my own channel some day soon I have lots of dolls ❤so I am glad you are doing the review so I can see how she really looks ❤
That is so exciting! I hope you will share your collection with us when you are ready! 🥰 She is a beautiful doll and I was happy to show her to you. You will have to start your channel soon so you can unbox her for us! What other types of dolls do you collect?
Question I have not seen the new boxes although I have heard they are spectacular. I couldn’t tell from the video does box have a magnetic enclosure? Also it looks like a new journal does that have a magnetic enclosure too? The older journals have buttons.
Hello! Thank you for your questions. The answer is yes to both. The new box and the new journal both have magnetic closures. I think they are very nice. I was a little disappointed to not get the old box actually but I like the large window on the new one. Which box and journal style do you prefer? Do you have a favourite MapleLea character?
@@CherishedDollFriends I have not yet gotten the new box or journal yet but hopefully this coming holiday or my birthday.. the dolls I got are Charlsea (love at first sight) when I saw her in online catalog. Taryn loved her outfit the butterflies and Alexi the moto jacket I was sold. Oh, she is from Toronto, Cabbagetown. I don’t live in Canada but the U.S. I don’t think those boots are Maplelea I don’t think they would make plastic boots. Rubber like.Charlsea look and feel like ugs. The old boxes came into a solid box with no window and separate lid think of a large square shoebox with thick cardboard. I like windows better they look more durable and fun to use in displaying or keeping there outfits. Looking at box through the window you can tell which doll stuff in iit without opening. As for the journal I cannot wait to see the magnetic enclosure I have a planner like that and I love it so much easier to close I am terrified on the elastic snapping on the older doll journals.
Thanks for sharing the dolls you have! I have just ordered Charlsea because she is closest to me in my Province of BC! She was also on sale for black Friday with no box and a different outfit. I can't wait to get her. I only have Taryn and Saila so far. 😊
Hi Ellaella! I like your name. My Granna's name was Ella 🥰 Thank you for sharing about her name and dress! I got the Giggles dress on another doll I thrifted and had no idea it belonged to Saila's collection. How cool!
I discovered the dolls last year from Just dream studios and I'm so tempted to start getting dolls but I'm in the USA so I don't know how much one will cost for me with the customs what ever they means
I also enjoy Just Dream Studios. Are you in the USA? If so, MapleLea dolls would be less expensive than American girl because of the CAD to US dollar exchange. I would definitely recommend them! 😍
Hi Cheryl! i have a question … the other video you did using the doll salon chair … does it help to strap the doll in & you are able to do the dolls hair ?? does the doll stay still?? i don’t have very good luck holding the doll still trying to do hair so thought i’d ask ?? thank you!!🥰 your channel is so comforting
Yes it does! The salon chair helps to keep the doll in place when she is strapped in. You can usually find them in thrift stores. My chair is an Our Generation brand chair. I’m so happy you find my videos comforting. It’s so kind of you to say. 🥰
What wonderful dolls! I've never seen Maplelea dolls before, I just LOVE their round chubby little faces. I hope you thoroughly enjoy each other, thanks for another fabulous video! 🕊️💖😊

Me too! 😊

Wow no actually hairnet just a plastic wrap hair thing that's creative
I have only ordered one MapleLea doll brand new so far but I don't think they have hair nets.
