This is by far my favorite version of the song there is. Why did you cut the part out about the chain link fence? I love the part about help me Holy Jesus and help me Holy Lord in the song. I also like the part about having Monsters at my table and when he talks about Bible in the songs. I hope more of his future songs will have this in about Jesus, the Lord, Holy Spirt, Bibles, Monsters, and chain link fences too. God Bless you John Mark McMillan, Luke.
I agree that this is his best version of Borderland (although Live At The Knight's version is hard to beat). Fun story about this: Before the full album was released, I went to Stabal's website, and discovered that they had the videos for this album up (probably ever since the actual performance). The only catch was that you had to subscribe to see ALL BUT ONE of the videos. The exception was (and still is) Borderland. And I would play their video over and over again, because I couldn't get tired of the song. (I'm glad we have a TH-cam version now, where you can actually loop it!) I am also curious why he cut the "chain link fence" part out, BUT it still sounded AMAZING, and it's still his best version of Borderland yet!
I used Borderland in my mountain bike video’s intro. th-cam.com/video/j8UTRRqonpE/w-d-xo.html Worked perfectly to introduce the way I feel being in Gods creation and remembering that without love, I’d be living solely by the law of the jungle.
Was it an intentional decision to remove "Some many of us are born here outside *your* *chain* *link* *fence* " If so, Im curious if he's explained it anywhere.
My favorite artist everrrrrr ❤

No it wasn’t intentional. It’s just a mouthful to sing live and so sometimes we shorten it.
