Excellent review Greg. Fear Factory's Digimortal is a great album. Despite the ridiculous negativity around that album during it's release. I find it to be overlooked and genuinely enjoyable.
Great album. Easily one of their best, in my opinion. Some of my favorite songs are Damaged, Linchpin, Acres of Skin, and of course, Invisible Wounds… Which is a top 3 Fear Factory song for me!
This is a really good Fear Factory album. It does have more nu metal elements than Obsolete and Demanufacture but it’s easily my third favorite in their discography after those two. Dino Cazares riffs are still as crunchy as before but with a bit cleaner production.
They wanted to do a different take on the production and it worked. Not as top notch as the previous two, but I think FF as a band never had bad production on any of their albums.

It's one of those metal albums that deserves a warmer reaction and it has underrated gems.

It's awesome to see fans like yourself be a fan of the album. I'm sure others would defend it as well.
Maybe my favorite album. Genexus might tie it.
