Nice to see you having fun with the new technology. I have a 1990s Pfaff that still is working beautifully thanks to my husband. He warns me that it could become irreparable one day due to the plastics deteriorating on the circuit board. This may be a replacement idea. Thanks.
God Speed. My Husqvarna died in March 2020 after 18 years of faithful service. The sewing only machine is a great idea. The embroidery machines die far too often and then your out a simple machine. Due to the sewing machine rush in 2020, I bought the last available Bernina in our half of the state, lol. Making a soft book for stitches is great. Mine old one came with a printed book with all of them in there. I don't have the patience for sitting and messing with all the stitches, but it's great for those that need to learn and do.(been sewing for 42 years.) It is an undertaking. Good on you!
@@curmudgeon66 Mine would have lived longer if not for 15 military moves in 20 years. That's hard on electronics. Too bad the whole thing died due to a bad, and discontinued motherboard. I used to refurbish handc-ranked and treadle machines, sigh, not much phased those.
I am impressed. This machine is amazing. And I admire you for want to learn. Maybe your second next project is a handweaved cushion decorated with some of these beautiful stitches.
The stitch dictionary is a great idea. Especially when there’s like 9 billion and 3. My bernina is just as bad I got a huge bunch and half look similar but aren’t when it does them as it’s got double bits and weird bits and so on but hopefully you find a blanket stitch to do the edges with!!
The "dictionary" came in handy today, when I was challenging my self to use "overcuts" (i,e. extra cuts) from my quilting, and wanting to jazz things up a bit.
Good for you giving the epic a go I wonder how far on you are now a year later I’m get my machine next week so watching as many videos as possible in the meantime Hope all is well with you and yours And thanks for the video
It’s good to see a man doing! I’d love to see you attempting a hat badge. I think you’re capable! So far I haven’t seen anyone trying this.

This sewing machine is amazing! It's so impressive what it can do.
WOW! Andy, that is one amazing machine. Making the stitches reference book is a great way to get to know the machine. Very interesting video. Thanks!
Really interesting and great idea.

You have given me a great idea on how to learn my machine that was my mother's, thanks for your video.
