Each and every video I watch, my enthusiasm grows. I am now starting to peruse online catalogues just to see what is new. Haven't had a working train set up and running since the 1980's. Your enthusiasm is completely infectious.
Hey Richard. Just been watching your interview with New Junction from the Warley exhibition last weekend. As you mentioned, we subscribers never really get to see all the hard work you put into filming and editing the videos let alone building the layout itself!! So...this is just a little note to say thank you for all the incredibly helpful and inspirational videos you've uploaded over the years. Keep up the great work!
Hi Graham, thank you for all your effort to give us a very interesting video. It’s great to see how your layout is coming on. Take care, regards Gary 😊
Just amazing Richard! your presentation and content was simply marvellous, your best video to date. and Lime Street Station...Wow...words fail me also. The layout's looking good too, cheers, Dave
Thanks for the video Richard and taking the time to show us how you model. You’ve certainly spurred me on particularly in relation to repaints. Thanks to you I have a Network Rail Structure Gauging train nearing completion which if I say so myself ain’t half bad. Shame I didn’t know you were at Hattons I would have liked to have met you and have a chat. I work 5 minutes away which is too convenient at times the wallet can take a bashing. Thanks for the Warley coverage I couldn’t go this year and seems I missed some splendid layouts but nice to see them on screen. Best wishes and thanks again for all your hard work.
As a customer nice to see behind the scenes at Hattons. Thanks for sharing. I’d like to point out as one of the the less skilled modellers amongst us, the staff at Hattons have been really helpful with good advice over the last few years to me whilst not trying to flog you something.
Hi Richard really glad to see you back both your self and Dave at dean park have been big inspiration to me as I look to build my own layout thanks for sharing your content and wisdom I look forward to future updates.
Always great to see what's going on across the pond! Your channel is my favorite UK fix for British Rail. Great video as always. Thanks for sharing your experience from a Canadian viewer.
I like the idea of a still used but rather derelict siding, great work, appreciate your channel and all the effort and knowledge / skill. Thanks for EverhardJunction hats off! Those revolving axels are fantastic!
Great to see a new update and see the progress you’ve made on the branch line. Looking forward to what’s next. The superelevation on the curves looks superb. Greetings from Sammamish
Hi There, Thanks for your videos they are always inspiring and interesting. I recently moved house and had to dismntle my layout that had been 17 years in the making ( can be seen on my channel) And have found getting started again slow going. After having some tme off over Christmas i came across your vids and binge watched loads of them , now i dont know if its your can do attitude or your enthusiasm but something inspired me and i have just spent a couple of enjoyable evenings getting stuff sorted . Thanks again for the vids long may they continue
hi mate from australia, i get soooo jelous seeing videos like this cos there is just hardly anything like this in australia and nothing within a thousand km from where i live haha one can only dream of coming home to visit all my family over there and visit some of the preserved railways and museums you have there. love your layout keep up the good work.
Really great footage, I am so jealous, in my 50s and not got a set, but thanks to yourself I get great pleasure watching all your vids, and always look forward to the next one coming out. Keep up the great work. All the best
Great video Richard. Little by little its starting to look like "Everard Junction", can't wait until you get the station in place. I look forward to your next video. Be well and keep safe, regards Gary.
Thanks for coming to our show the weekend, and the great support for Dave and Richard giving them your time to be interviewed for our channel. Really nice to meet you as well
Your layout is coming along nicely!! Great clips from the train show, there were some grand looking layouts there! Thanks for sharing the train show and your update with us!!
A much appreciated video Richard most enjoyable, a monster edit indeed, but thanks for sharing sadly commitments prevented me getting to Warley, would have been my first ever visit. It was nice seeing through your eyes and the others who have been covering it. Hope to get there next year. Best wishes, Paul, No Name Junction
Hey Richard. Thank you for the great update. And also thank you for answering my questions (perhaps inadvertently - Couldn't tell) about the banking of your tracks to allow easier cornering of your trains at higher speed. I'm going to try it on my layout when I get to that point. Looking forward to your next update. take care and keep them coming please. Andrew - Steam Train Paper Co.
Great video and typical great work on the layout by one of the best. It was, as a viewer, awesome to see you in front of the camera in various videos of the Hatton's and Warley's visits. Great to see your humor and outside the work area. Always a pleasure to see your work.
Warley certainly was a good weekend. The trade support was amazing and it was great to see so many new manufacturers. That new Deltic (only announced on Saturday) will be with us in 12-15 months.....beating the Bachmann Class 158 that looks like it wont make it to market before 2020!!! For me, Being made a Warley Member was such an honour for me. It was great to me up with so many guys who have channels. Great to meet you after all these years of messages and comments back n forth! Keep in touch. Dave
Cheers Dave. It was great to finally meet you after all this time! The new boys have certainly got their act together, will give the Red and Blue team something to think about!
@@EverardJunction I agree 100%..Accurascale taking on the Bachmann Deltic and Hattons the Bachmann 66. They will need to pull their socks up! I'd like to see someone else try the 37....Bachmann's one is good, but could be more detailed, especially around the buffer beam detail area. Bachmann will start to realise they can't keep trotting out the same over priced (ageing) models for silly prices. I hope Hornby and Heljan continue to improve their modern image and give the blue box boys the kick they need! The 158 isnt even in the release list for 2019! Unforgivable. Great to chat, I could have stood there for hours talking trains. Dave and Richard wanted to film us just chatting, might have got a feature length DVD out of it! lol. Cheers. Dave

I think being a bus enthusiast complements a layout because you are able to add models of the correct vintage and paintwork. For example a scene showing suburban station in Outer London in The Late Nineteen Sixties, might have an RT or RM, or a new single decker AEC Merlin type of the time.
Another great update. Really like the branch line idea and your thoughts about it. Very jealous you got to go to hattons and see what goes on behind the scenes. Wish we had a model shop like that here in Australia. Really like your commentary on the visit as well. Clint

Great video update Richard. Has the track got a bit of an Issue on one of the curves as it looked like the carriages were dipping a bit?😳 love the idea of the branch line and sidings and the way you’ve put them at the lower level. Great stuff. Can you do an update of the Granada rebuild soon? 👍😎
I had no idea you were there! Would have loved to have a chat, especially about old fords. If you were there on the saturday I was the tall girl with the really bad limp :P
Lovely update Richard, thanks for sharing. Yourself & “New Junction” have now posted something which, in my opinion, is something the ordinary man in the street wouldn’t normally get to see, for example HORNBY/Triang/Hornby Railways Factory at Margate would’ve been three times as big, plus, no doubt. A great insight to how a multimillionaire turnover operates! Cheers, Bob
No longer a model railway modeller But followed you for years Your last layout was amazing so much work and time went in to creating it Do you not feel a sense off lose having ripped it up and starting from scratch again I know a model railway is never complete I know mine never was But how did you come to th decision of ripping it up and starting again Keep up the amazing work I'm looking forward to the progress you're making and how the final layout will look Even though I no longer model railways I only have 2 people I subscribe too to keep in touch with the hobby Yourself and ic82 Both do the hobby proud
I too really enjoyed the last layout. My enjoyment may have been due to the fact i only subscribed around 18 months ago and had a nice big back catalogue to look through though. The reasons for a new layout though were very clear. One - The base was very uneven, warping and causing derailments. You will never fix that by just working on the existing layout. Two, he wanted to have more continuous running options, and less fiddly DMU type stuff i believe. It is true though - a layout is never usually complete, but i totally understand the reasons to start over, and it allowed the removal of the helix's as well
Hi Richard Just was wondering what speakers and sound system u use in your class 43 hst amazing sound do u have speakers in some of the coaches too? Be great if you could let me no where I can buy it too. Love your videos great watching u build your layout thanks
The new Hattons class 66 is first class shame it does not have a driver. Smart models have drivers for modern image. I have lost count of money spent in the last ten years at hattons. I will certainly purchase Bachmann's class 90. Good video. How is the ford granada coming along.

A bit of a DRIVE to Hatton's? Surely from Bournemouth it would be just the one change of train at New Street!
Cheers, Bob
Very good!
It still annoys me that they can’t sort out the lighting on these 66’s. Why is the top marker light on at the rear? Surely they can sort that...
No longer a model railway modeller
But followed you for years
Your last layout was amazing so much work and time went in to creating it
Do you not feel a sense off lose having ripped it up and starting from scratch again
I know a model railway is never complete
I know mine never was
But how did you come to th decision of ripping it up and starting again
Keep up the amazing work
I'm looking forward to the progress you're making and how the final layout will look
Even though I no longer model railways I only have 2 people I subscribe too to keep in touch with the hobby
Yourself and ic82
Both do the hobby proud
I too really enjoyed the last layout. My enjoyment may have been due to the fact i only subscribed around 18 months ago and had a nice big back catalogue to look through though.
The reasons for a new layout though were very clear. One - The base was very uneven, warping and causing derailments. You will never fix that by just working on the existing layout. Two, he wanted to have more continuous running options, and less fiddly DMU type stuff i believe.
It is true though - a layout is never usually complete, but i totally understand the reasons to start over, and it allowed the removal of the helix's as well
bloody hell its tight between sidewalls of the cars on the branch line.
I was at the nec yesterday saturday and sunday. Saturday was mad with to many people in the way but sunday was better towards the end.
Totally impressive.
Hi Richard
Just was wondering what speakers and sound system u use in your class 43 hst amazing sound do u have speakers in some of the coaches too? Be great if you could let me no where I can buy it too. Love your videos great watching u build your layout thanks
I believe he doesn't have DCC sound accept the APT. Its audio recordings overlaid on the video
Great! I have two class 66 from Kato in N scale...
Argh! I missed Warley and now I wish I’d gone!
Interesting that you are automating the branch. Have you ever thought of full automation?
I have and have allowed for its use in the future. For now the main layout will be manually controlled while I start on the scenery.
@@EverardJunction Very interesting. I shall look out for updates as to this with great interest.
Would u ever get a western Pullman unit is that in your era or not
The new Hattons class 66 is first class shame it does not have a driver. Smart models have drivers for modern image.
I have lost count of money spent in the last ten years at hattons.
I will certainly purchase Bachmann's class 90. Good video. How is the ford granada coming along.
