The storms will probably be seen as the 'Black Swan Event' for the current Sarasota market's decline this year and in the coming years, but it was already slowing down before that. I know...stats...stats...talk stats to me...I love stats, too. I've finally learned, after 50 years of life, that I can't predict markets. I thought I learned that years ago but I really didn't. Now the challenge is more to understand where we are. Most people don't know where we are much less where we are going. With the benefit of time hindsight is pretty clear. The current market right now feels just like when Milton was over the top of us...there is damage but we are in the calm of the storm. More pain to come but now here I am...predicting the future of the market. Don't take my word for it, I am a student of the dismal science.
@@christaylor8337 I'll predict it for you. 2025 will see prices down another -20%. High mortgage rates, insurance costs, HOA assessments, etc. etc. etc.
I said many months ago that we would start seeing the condo market go down and that the data wasn't reflecting it because of the lag period so you are not correct...

Real estate goes up and down. You build on the water in a flood/hurricane zone and you pay the price.
You have been saying all year that house prices were going up. Now you say they are going to go up again. Lol
