I’ve never been in a cult, but being a “casual student” of cult psychology (aka, being fascinated by the psychology of cult leaders and followers and watching documentaries of different cults) I am surprised you find it so difficult to believe that DM having an extra marital affair would be the breaking point for people - Cult leaders always operate by a different set of rules then the followers, and most of the time they are way more abusive and double-standard-y then this extra-marital issue : look at Jim Jones or David Koresh, even Manson had different sex rules for himself then other male cult members. Controlling your members’ sex lives and libidos is such a powerful way for leaders to control their following, and being allowed to have a different set of rules for the leader seems to be part of the intoxicating part to cult leaders. It doesn’t surprise me that DM would want to do something his followers can’t do. And his followers are so under his control and have already sacrificed so much, that to them, DM having a different set of rules is just proof of his specialness, not a red flag of double standard

I've thought that too - that maybe she's accepting of where she is and is content to be there. As Jenna says: I would not underestimate the double standard of David Miscavige and to some extent of Scientology! He can get away with almost anything. As Jenna says, there's a difference between being openly in a relationship or being in a relationship that some - even many like non-scientology business partners etc. - know of. A new wife would also have legal rights. I do not think that David Miscavige would accept (let alone respect and cherish) anyone as an equal partner. In my opinion, this is a guy that is incapable of being in a loving, healthy marriage. He may have a close bond with this assistant. The image towards the public is being handled and I think he's ok with it. He seems to be ok in his relationship with the other woman. People around him don't seem to be stopping it. Why should he change anything about that - even if he divorced Shelly. He could also be divorced from Shelly because he wanted to get the power back. And not be married to anyone but still wearing the ring to look better in front of the greater Scientology community and the public. Many would not even dare to enquire. Don't you think that getting married to Shelly may also have been (at least partly) to gain power and influence. David Miscavige seems like a pathologically, sociopathic (maybe even psychopathic, but I am no psychologist) person to me. I struggle to imagine that he does anything without self-interest.
Like Jenna pointed out, spouses have legal protections in which they cannot be compelled to testify against one another. That would explain why Dave and Shelly are still married
It was suggested that other influencing leaders (not at all sure of who these are) are of the thought that Lou is DM's current wife, then it sounds apparent that DM may very well have divorced Shelley at some time in the past. I would have thought this may well have occurred when Shelley was de-statused and sent off to a secure compound.
DM lies about everything else. He’s prob still legally married to Shelley. But he’s banished her. So he goes around saying he’s divorced and now with/ married to Lou. There’s no one around to refute it.
I always feel turn regarding Shelly. She definitely was neglected and then abandoned by her parents, put into an abusive cult and married a monster. Other people left After seeing the horrors of David But she tolerated it . I again feel pity but she had choices.
Closest i ever got to being Scientologist was in a NYC subway station someone had me hold some rods and said "ah i see you're stressed" yeah no shit i live in NYC have a good one
I went to NYC for a concert a few years back (before the pandemic) and my best friend and I were walking down the street with my whole family (I got them all into my favorite band everyone wanted to go) And a Scientologist gave my best friend and I their pamphlets so then we sent a picture of it to our buddies and we were like “we got recruited by a cult” then we started laughing like Beavis and Butthead
There are arguments for and against them being divorced - Shelly not being forced to testify against him in court is a big one, Leah and Mike think - but ultimately we're all speculating.
I do not understand why nobody faces the fact that the most likely scenario given all the facts is that Shelly is dead, probably killed. No need for divorce, police not called, everybody brainwashed into accepting his violence and his choices. Malignant narcissists are very dangerous, the end always justifies the means for them. Just another case of a spouse killing the other.
I am just so amazed that adults give away their power and sovereignty to ANY other human. Surely, they should know that these people are no better or higher than themselves! 🤨
But ESPECIALLY to give over their children. It really should be illegal. It used to be worse, though. Do you know that Steven Tyler persuaded the mother of an underage girl to sign over her parental rights to him so that he could take her over state lines? Truly disgusting.
Most people are full of fear and shame. Many think of themselves as the worst people so to have others present themselves as knowing the answers to life and carrying themselves with so much confidence, it’s easy for the people with low belief in themselves to give over their power to these people. Most of these people presenting themselves as leaders and all knowing have disordered personalities. It’s the reason so many leaders in corporations and politics are sociopaths (a disordered personality). Sociopaths will do things that healthy people will not. It can come across as amazing confidence. And our society gives a lot of support to this because it rewards sociopaths.
It’s not possible for them to be legally divorced and it not be known by the state of California. Now he could get spiritually married to Lu or whatever her name is without it being legal.
I wonder why MR does not think DM divorced Shelley? He could have very well done it at the same time he banished her to the base. Devil’s advocate … so what if DM is out 2D , he doesn’t follow all of LRH’s rules anyway.
The answer is partly that Mike doesn't actually think DM is sleeping with Lou. If DM is NOT sleeping with Lou, then yes he probably is still married to Shelly. But if he IS sleeping with Lou, then it is almost unthinkable that he'd still be married to Shelly. More to come on this soon...
But if DM had divorced and remarried so that it would look good in front of SeaOrg members in order for that to work, this would have to be public knowledge at least within SeaOrg, and thus wouldn't SeaOrg members who escaped in last 10 years have been able to just confirm this?
Ehh I don’t think he is. I just think he was one of those short kids who tried to overcompensate. Normally those guys turn into mostly harmless douchebags, but this guy hit the jackpot and took his fantasy to the top. I just think sex isn’t the way he wields that power.
Aaron, since when did rules mean, anything to DM?? Rules for everyone else, but not for himself. That is not hard to believe at all. And if anyone questioned it, they could just get beaten, or worse. The double standard of DM and Scientology is mind numbing. It’s not hard for me to believe at all. But the question becomes… Then, where is Shelly? either she’s dead, or she’s been held captive. She knows way too much dirt. I think it’s the latter…..
The fact that she’s missing, david should be held accountable. Let’s find this guy. We need a manhunt. We found bin laden, we need the same effort to find him
I don't believe Dave would ever divorce Shelly because a wife cannot be forced to testify against her husband. I think Dave keeps that in the back of his mind just in case he is ever dragged into court. So if he is sleeping with Lou, he will probably deny it and everything else is speculative. IMO
@@merlinshouseoffreereadings4641 that's why she is kept at the compound. As long as she 'voluntarily' chooses to stay behind the gates; nobody can make her testify. Even for her own 'good'. She is considered a free person who can do as she pleases.
Hi Aaron… my sister just saw a huge bus load of SeaOrg in downtown LA about five minutes ago. Every single one had masks on. Just wondering why? It’s not mandatory anymore, so is it a control deal?
I wonder how these ex scientologists forgive their parents for raising them in this cult. I dont know if i would ever accept any excuse a parent would make about this decision.
Shelly hasn’t been seen in 16 years, are you saying people still consider them married? I thought it was assumed he was done with her and just not announcing his formal relationship status. If members haven’t seen Shelly in 16 years I don’t see why they would bat an eye at him dating someone?
Just an idea, maybe David Miscavige was being so public with his affair as a power-play domineering sort of thing. Like he was showing off that he could get away with anything. That being said, if purity culture is deep within Scientology even that would be a big stretch. Or at least I’m assuming so based on my experiences Adjacent to a few churches/Christian sects like Mormonism
Well the visitor mentioned by Aaron said Lou was David's wife, and that would be something he was told. The visitor would have no reason to assume that as the names don't match. So the story told is, evidently, Lou is David's wife.
Keith renierre, the leader of nvixm, famously had a harem behind everyone’s back aside from the women in the harem so your theory about the assistant could be very well true
I think there is a silver lining to the fact that DM is the head of Scientology, if the head of Scientology was a decent human being, that cult could be absolutely thriving. And being that it’s all a scam, that would be a bad thing.

Interesting if David devorced Shelly in the church, but not legally. More Interesting if he never legally married her, or paid off to make the marriage not legally go through without Shelly knowing. Most Interesting if he illegally paid to legally have the marriage ended without Shelly knowing or having representation, but leaving any judges with loss of Judicial Immunity because of what they or their clerks did.
Has anyone thought! and its a horrible thing to say but could Shelly have been murderd. especially with all these yearsvpasding and we don't know where or even if she is anywhere... as long as he says NOTHING. there's is nobody questioning him. and he is evil enough to do something like that. The fact that the fbi and dhs did not do anything to find her shows how curropt the goverent is. They are in cahoots other wise this pdf file ring would be dismantled.
There is no way he could get divorced without people being able to easily look it up. All u have to do is request from the attorney general of California the martial status of Davis and Shelly Miscavage bc in order to get divorced u have to file with the attorney general of the state or states in which the parties reside in period. So a spiritual marriage one u get married in a church in not legal recognized which is why u have to go get a legal marriage certificate to be recognized as legally married. They could be spiritually married and Dave could have spiritually divorced Shelly bc he thinks he can do anything. But if Shelly ever Blows…. She is his legal wife if there is no legal divorce entitled in to half of everything. I hope she blows!!!!! Somebody go save her!
The host’s hyper focus on David’s sexual relationship with his assistant and conjecturing whether or not he’s still married is annoying. I was hoping to hear, per the title, a discussion on Shelly and her absence.
0:25: 😢 Jenna feels sad for Shelley and believes she did mean things for what she thought were the right reasons. 2:52: 🤔 The speaker is considering the possibility of David Miscavige being in a relationship with someone other than his wife, and whether or not people would tolerate it. 6:27: 😳 Discussion about the tolerance of violence and extramarital affairs within the Scientology community. 9:59: 🤔 There is speculation that Dave and Larice may be a couple and that they may have gotten divorced years ago. 12:31: 🤔 The speaker questions why Miscavige would want to be surrounded by people who think he is sleeping with someone other than his wife, as it would undermine his own reputation and power. Recap by Tammy AI
What happened to the story that Shelly was seen at the Rim of the World store (very close to the Lake Arrowhead Scientology property) and even asked for help. This is supposed to have been recent. The Scientology police (handlers?) were there, and with quiescence of the County Sheriff that had been called, took her back to the compound. She also allegedly tried this twice. But now I see no references to this happening at all.
The most obvious reason as to why he Would go behind Shelly's back is very simple. Scientology as a whole relies solely upon their religious virtue signaling and the reputational standard that brings with it. That means that any tarnish of that reputation is a deadly sin and is a direct attack on Scientology itself. So, If he had done something with this other woman while still being married to Shelly, either by a spur of the moment kind of thing or intentionally. it would make perfect sense from his twisted perspective to keep a lid on it, in order to save face and protect the image and reputation of Scientology as a whole. The other angle is Where is Shelly? A person simply does not just vanish without a crime being involved. Not in modern times. If this Dave is Asexual and has a high propensity for violence, then the psychology of this individual match that of a person capable of making a person disappear. And his position of power would certainly allow for such a thing to occur both financially and by control of his subordinates.
I don’t believe Dave and Shelly are divorced. He’d had to give a financial settlement to his wife. David is being sued by former members he’s not going to want to make his financial affairs public (in court). They’re permanently separated. Dave banished her so her could couple with Lou. No advantage to Dave to divorce Shelly. He’s got everything he wants the way it is.
Could it be possible that Shelley herself asked for divorce. She may have lost her rights as an exec but she would have legal rights as a spouse to ask so. David outcasted her afterall and this would be a good reason enough.
I can't believe the cops won't just go there and DEMAND to see this woman.
They did years ok and they said she was safe, but not everyone believes they found her.
Supposedly they did. But I don't think we've ever gotten names of the officers.
It's all seems extremely suspicious.

Jenna has a beautiful soul.
DM lies about everything else. He’s prob still legally married to Shelley. But he’s banished her. So he goes around saying he’s divorced and now with/ married to Lou. There’s no one around to refute it.
It would be amazing reality tv to have cameras up in the celebrity center.
I went to NYC for a concert a few years back (before the pandemic) and my best friend and I were walking down the street with my whole family (I got them all into my favorite band everyone wanted to go)
And a Scientologist gave my best friend and I their pamphlets so then we sent a picture of it to our buddies and we were like “we got recruited by a cult” then we started laughing like Beavis and Butthead
Most people don't have good self esteem, why would you assume they do?
She is a delight! ☺️💖
Confusing about extra marital affairs when rape seems to be ok with them.
Wouldn't a divorce be public record?
I think David Miscavige is gay and I am kinda surprised no one talks about it
Ehh I don’t think he is. I just think he was one of those short kids who tried to overcompensate. Normally those guys turn into mostly harmless douchebags, but this guy hit the jackpot and took his fantasy to the top. I just think sex isn’t the way he wields that power.
'All right then, it's all so fucking weird' 😂
He's kinda taking a page LRH's book regarding how he treated his wife
Aaron, since when did rules mean, anything to DM?? Rules for everyone else, but not for himself. That is not hard to believe at all. And if anyone questioned it, they could just get beaten, or worse. The double standard of DM and Scientology is mind numbing. It’s not hard for me to believe at all. But the question becomes… Then, where is Shelly? either she’s dead, or she’s been held captive. She knows way too much dirt. I think it’s the latter…..
Fascinating. "Command" sounds so much like VXIVM's "Vanguard" name for their cult leader.
Absolutely!!
That was my first thought, too. More of the usual CoS linguistic BS. 🙄
The fact that she’s missing, david should be held accountable. Let’s find this guy. We need a manhunt. We found bin laden, we need the same effort to find him
Need to send in Marine Force Recon or Navy Seals! Oh, wait...it would only take one of them, not a whole team... 😁👍
Did anyone see, The Master with Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman?
It's astounding Jenna and Dave have some of the same genes.
It's almost like they're family
This is a 14-minute excerpt from yesterday's 2-hour Q&A: th-cam.com/video/XRWbtMfEh98/w-d-xo.html
I don't believe Dave would ever divorce Shelly because a wife cannot be forced to testify against her husband. I think Dave keeps that in the back of his mind just in case he is ever dragged into court. So if he is sleeping with Lou, he will probably deny it and everything else is speculative. IMO
She can choose to testify against him. Man’s she could no be forced even if divorced - about the married time.
@@merlinshouseoffreereadings4641 that's why she is kept at the compound. As long as she 'voluntarily' chooses to stay behind the gates; nobody can make her testify. Even for her own 'good'. She is considered a free person who can do as she pleases.
The only way SO would put up with DM being with Lou is that the SO knows DM is divorced. If SO knows, there is no ways it would still be a secret.
Love you Jenna. You have an army
Hi Aaron… my sister just saw a huge bus load of SeaOrg in downtown LA about five minutes ago. Every single one had masks on. Just wondering why? It’s not mandatory anymore, so is it a control deal?
There's currently a covid resurgence and maybe they're all unvaccinated? Just a thought
You can find out if they are divorced through the County’s Clerk Office
I just discovered about Jack Parsons, friend with Alseter Crowley, and Ron Hubbard... that is some REALLY SCARY STUFF. 😈
Tom and David are clearly together
Was Dave saving himself for Tom?
Just an idea, maybe David Miscavige was being so public with his affair as a power-play domineering sort of thing. Like he was showing off that he could get away with anything. That being said, if purity culture is deep within Scientology even that would be a big stretch. Or at least I’m assuming so based on my experiences Adjacent to a few churches/Christian sects like Mormonism
Well the visitor mentioned by Aaron said Lou was David's wife, and that would be something he was told. The visitor would have no reason to assume that as the names don't match. So the story told is, evidently, Lou is David's wife.
WHERE IS SHELLY?!?!?!?!
And being that it’s all a scam, that would be a bad thing.
you're right, his temper/ego/control freaking has only served to accelerate "the churches" undoing,
also, in this age, little tyrants are no match for the internet:
🪒🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺🤺
Hey, we are a human trafficking cult, not a scam. Say you’re sorry!!!
Decent human beings don't become cult leaders, it's literally impossible
@@Qrtuop Ok, act like a decent human being.
@@AltDavidMiscavige 😆
Seems like a high number of cult leaders sleep with whatever members they want.
In Tampa, where the sun's warm embrace does shine,
Lived Brad and his wife, in a love so fine.
In their cozy Tampa home, with couches wide,
A tiny earring went missing, nowhere to hide.
They searched and they scoured, a determined pair,
For that lost little earring, a gem so rare.
Tampa Brad and his wife, side by side,
In this couch adventure, their love could not hide.
The cushions were mountains, a vast terrain,
But in their unity, they'd conquer the pain.
With laughter and whispers, their bond was so strong,
In the heart of Tampa, where they truly belong.
In the end, the earring was found, shining bright,
A triumph for Tampa Brad and his wife, pure delight.
For in Tampa's embrace, where love's always near,
They'd cherish each moment, year after year.
QUESTION did the person who left two years ago say whether there was still physical violence?
jenna looks better now, she used to have that thousand yard stare. i imagine from the years of abuse and indoctrination
Has anyone thought! and its a horrible thing to say but could Shelly have been murderd. especially with all these yearsvpasding and we don't know where or even if she is anywhere... as long as he says NOTHING. there's is nobody questioning him. and he is evil enough to do something like that. Again I ask the question. Why havnt the law got involved and gone in there to look for her and question members and David ?? I still just don't understand all of this. I'd like to think if I was missing for years SOMEBODY WOULD BE LOOKING FOR ME. This is absolutely CRAZY
I was googling the Miscaviges and found a new Nickname of "Darth Midget" for a certain someone.
Oooh, BURN! 😆
Love those who show reLIEgions for what they really are.
Have you ever talked about the alien volcano stuff and if they really believe that?
I don't know if annoys Jenna, but it annoys me that when you are referring to David Miscavige you call him "Miscavige" when you are talking to her. SHE is a Miscavige too!!!
Who cares.
Cope; your name is not Miscavage. Don't let it annoy you.
I honestly don't think Davy boy gives a & +%R& about what people think of him. He waaay too narcissistic... After all he has no problem beating people up n thinking it's ok
It's clear to me that Aaron and his group are wrecking Scientology. This is a mortal blow they won't recover from. Surprised that scam is still functioning..
If there was a divorce there would be paperwork that is public record. All divorce records are public.
Not in a cult
If they established residency in another country, where would one even begin to look for divorce records?
Not true. At least not according to experts who have reached out to me on this subject. It's possible to have them sealed. And there are other options.
Look in the court records for the divorce.
Aaron...who messed up today????
I get it but a little leading the witness ?
@@stevemew6955 I love when he says that
The fact that the fbi and dhs did not do anything to find her shows how curropt the goverent is. They are in cahoots other wise this pdf file ring would be dismantled.
So interesting
Divorce records are usually easy to look up. I think she’s dead sadly 😢there’s been no contact with her by anyone for way to long.
Morning
The host’s hyper focus on David’s sexual relationship with his assistant and conjecturing whether or not he’s still married is annoying. I was hoping to hear, per the title, a discussion on Shelly and her absence.
Isn't marriage and divorce a matter of public record, so couldn't you just search court records for a divorce decree?
Love you Jenna. There’s NO way Dave is divorced with no public record
As leader of Scientology he can make new rules to get married spiritually
Yes but that does NOT mean he’s LEGALLY divorced.
@@annan.3283 he would also be practicing polygamy. Which is a whole nother ball of criminal.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this cult l was approached by this cult l said no.
