thanks so much for these guides with the map and visuals, it's hard to know Phoenix and Scottsdale like a local without living there or spending as much time as you guys to create such a great recap/intro to the area!

Thanks for the video! It gave me a good idea of how is life in Scottsdale. I am moving from England to Scottsdale this June and I would like to know if old town Scottsdale is a place to live with a 3 years old child. Currently we live in Liverpool city Center and I like living near the shops at a walking distance. But the impression I have of Scottsdale is that only young single people live there. So I’m a bit scared of moving with my toddler and husband to old town Scottsdale and feel we made a huge mistake. With pandemic, we were not able to visit places before choosing where we are going to live, so the decision is only based by pictures and the videos you have made for us. Thank you again!

Hi Karla, the Old Town area is a very vibrant part of town made up of mostly a younger crowd. It’s the epicenter of restaurants, shopping and nightlife and very walkable from many neighborhoods. If you live just a little further from the Old Town area it’s an easy bike or electric scooter ride which is always fun. Even though it’s younger, many young families love the area because of the parks and recreation, hiking and other outdoor activities in addition to everything else the area offers. For other options, watch my video on top 5 family friendly communities in Scottsdale if you haven’t already. I also have a new Old Town Scottsdale video coming soon so be sure you’ve subscribed with alerts on. No you haven’t made a mistake. You’re going to love it here.

If you have money, this is a good place to live but that's true anywhere. If you are low to average income, living here in an extremely hot desert and very harsh environment, you'll have less opportunity to enjoy the expensive amenities. I'd prefer England in that circumstance.

Old Town Scottsdale is simply a tourist trap, where everything is over priced. If you're a tourist, buy something. If you live in Arizona, you know the same things are cheaper in many other places all over Arizona. Just like all over America. It's the same way in every state.

Hi Robert thanks for watching another video. Yes Old Town Scottsdale is a fantastic area for tourists. Tourists love tourist traps that’s why they come. For locals they love the area because it’s vibrant with lots of restaurants, shopping, parks, Greenbelt, hiking, golf and many outdoor activities. But to each their own. If you don’t like hanging out in Old Town Scottsdale I’m sure you have other areas you like. Perhaps you could share those. Thanks again for watching and for your feedback.

@@cloudy7104 I live in the old town Scottsdale area. I also travel all over the valley. Everywhere I go prices are very similar. Yes home prices are more in Scottsdale than most of the valley, more affordable in south Scottsdale compared to north. Sometimes haters just hate. Scottsdale is a fantastic place to live and play. Let me know when you’re ready and I’ll give you a tour not just of homes, but communities and Hotspots.
