The development progress of Bangladesh has just started. There are many infrastructure works going on in Bangladesh. You can call Bangladesh a country under construction. Hopefully, after 10 years, there will be many changes in Bangladesh.

Enjoyed the trip with you, as also the trip to Barisal. I was born in Calcutta where I had my primary schooling. My father moved to Chittagong and then to Khulna from where I used to visit Calcutta at least twice a year on East Bengal Railways touching Benapole and Bongoan on a 20-hour journey. After taking my master's degree from Dhaka University, I moved to Karachi where I still reside today. I last visited Calcutta from Dhaka in 1975 by air. In 1978, I moved to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where I was employed for 33 years in a teaching position. I am presently in my 80's and quite nostalgic about the places I used to live in during my youth. Like the 19th century
female writer, 'Ouida' who wrote the very popular novel, "Under Two Flags", I hope to write my own experiences under the title "Under Four Flags" if I live long enough. Thank you once again for reviving my memories.

Kotalipara also does not belong to Faridpur district. Now Kotalipara is an upazila and thana of Gopalganj district. Because of administrative reorganization in Bangladesh in 1984. All subdivisions have been upgraded to districts. And all larger districts have been upgraded to 64 districts.

Madhumati River separates Greater Faridpur District from Greater Jessore and Greater Khulna Districts. The river is known as Garai River in Kushtia region (part of erstwhile Nadia District). Bhatiapara-Narail-Jesore-Benapole-Kolkata highway will be formed from Bhatiapara Intersection in Gopalganj District. So A new 6-lane bridge over the Madhumati river is under construction at Kalna in Kashiani Thana of Gopalganj district. After the completion of the new Madhumati bridge and the 6-lane highway, the Dhaka-Kolkata road connection will be smoother.

Soumit, by this time you've realized the differences between Bangladeshi and Indian buses. Almost 80% of AC buses in Bangladesh have 2:1 seating arrangement and the leg space is enormous. Reclining and leg rest can make you sleep almost like a bed. See the luggage compartments both outside and overhead. I think review of such things will make your VLOG rich.

In China, long-distance buses have been basically stopped, and most of them drive their own cars when the distance is less than 200 kilometers, and most of them take high-speed trains when the distance is more than 200 kilometers. Seeing the bus in the video reminds me of the feeling of taking a bus when I went to college more than 10 years ago.

Bro China offered Bangladesh to build a high speed rail line on Dhaka-Chittagong road with China's own investment or joint venture with the Bangladesh government. But the Bangladesh government turned down the proposal considering the current situation. Bangladesh Railway and the government have a plan to establish high speed railway. If the country's economic progress starts again, hopefully there will be a revolution in infrastructure.
However, construction of several expressways including upgrading all national highways and important highways to four lanes is underway in Bangladesh.

Calcutta is a city built by the British-East India Company. It is only 200 years old. How did the Silk Road connect Calcutta 600 years ago!!!!! The Silk Road built during the Mughal period connected the ancient Sonargaon / Subarnagram located in Narayanganj district near Dhaka, Bangladesh. Sonargaon city was famous for muslin cloth.Bangladesh 🇧🇩
( East Bengal) was famous for textile and shipbuilding industries since ancient times.

Shershah suri was himself from India ( Bihar), Yes he built the GT road but not for the south asians to invade but mainly to decrease the time and distance between East and North West for increasing the Trade.

@Professor | GT road originally *ended in Pandua* (Malda town in present West Bengal, India) as it was the *CAPITAL of BENGAL NAWABS*
From Pandua, the *road became waterway* !
One via *Padma river to present day Bangladesh* & another via *hoogly river* to present day West Bengal

Nothing to say. Simply excellent. But if you captured padma setu with full details, then we could see the actual time taken to cross the setu. But still thanks.
