@Rhadamant yeah, the little joys in life :)) when daycare ended I think everyone got a little parting gift, cause it's been like three weeks of fighting all sorts of respiratory infections :(
Rhadamant one quality of life for selling items is using zones in your ship. In your PDA home it’s the the second button on the top row. You can set them up for hauling forbidding entry and bartering.
I am going to arbitrarily pick on you, for no particular reason but to feel a little cathartic I KNOW THIS ALREADY HOLY SHIT STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP. Again, I totally do not intend for this to be a dig at you but I've been told this at least a few dozen times in comments already despite the fact I already know this already. Again, nothing personal, you're just comment that broke the camel's back.
Love watching your stuff, also makes me want to play the game too, This game would be amazing multiplayer, having a crew of friends running around salvaging and making a ship.
Derelict maintenance crew reporting for duty! Nice to see the little detailed stuff they include like you can rupture gas cans by overpressurizing them. And that Lunamax ship was a let down, I was hoping for some great loot. Thanks for the video.
I actually stand in a different position. I just found out the hard way(asphyxiated) the game air and pressure mechanics simply makes recycling gas too complicated for a tiny ship for salvage runs. In fact, I made it a point to purge the bridge compartment every time to make sure the air stays breathable at an acceptable pressure. Another side note, I just turn off all my tiny ship power if a particular salvage run gets too time consuming.
The idea with the CO2 can and pump is to have the pump in reverse (which it was when you looked at its control panel!) and hooked up to the CO2 alarm. When CO2 in the cabin rises, the pump will drain some of the atmosphere to the can outside, letting the other pumps fill back with fresh O2 and N2. The idea of keeping it outside is pretty neat - as the CO2 can poses a risk of explosion from overpressurization if not kept track of, and that it saves some space inside. I'm also about halfway in (idk yet if you spotted and fixed it), and immediately noticed the issue with your N2 pump - it will just transfer the N2 into the RCS intake can, which is also shown on the pump's control panel. Big explosion hazard, especially if you undock from OKLEG after refuelling and with atmospheric N2 low enough to trigger the N2 alarm...
This is the second game in as many days that your series have got me to buy. Last was Mind over Magic. Good stuff. Now to see if I can figure this game out. Why did the Nitrogen cannister rupture? Too low on repair?
My only guess as to why the ship was having CO2 pump into it was that the owner wanted an Earthlike air mixture. If I remember correctly the ship also had Nitrogen and Oxygen pumping into, so maybe the owner was a weirdo that tried making the air as close to earth as possible, minus the extremely small amounts of Noble Gasses.
If you watch the previous video at the 31:37 mark of that video, you'll see that Rhad missed that the CO2 pump was reversed. So it was pulling CO2 out of the air and not adding extra CO2.
Gotta wonder how many people you temporarily brain-froze with your "right... left..." whilst pointing in the opposite direction due to cam-inversion. ;D Hope you and the fam had a good holiday and best wishes for the new year! (:
When you were docked at OKLG, I saw a Suit Helmet on the ground for you to collect. It was in the small media TV room, across from the Refueling terminal and plants. Maybe there was something else there too. Usually the NPC's drop a couple items at a time. Like tools, helmets or datapads. You can see it on the left side of screen @ 26:04.
@@Shiftymcswiftytemp You're generally right, but in this case it's not that old. Also, if you or the OP are interested, he's gonna play it again on January 11th.
Question about the user interface: what's the "Shift" bar on the bottom right corner? Is it the salvage license remaining time? Edit: At 35:14 I see a "shift ended" alarm and a message about having to pay debt. So I guess it's some time period to count stuff like timed tasks or duties.
Maybe this has said already but do you know about zones? You can make a barter zone in your ship so you don't have to haul everything to the kiosk to sell them.
I dont know what happened with my salvage tug, but i tried putting a second battery in a similar spot you put on yours and it ended up messing with the wiring of the ship to the point that i couldn't recharge at kleg. Thankfully i fixed it by just uninstalling the battery and recharging the main at the station. Do you have to connect the batteries to a switch so they can be rechargeable or am i just a bad electrician?
A battery tip I always use, is having a spare battery on a switch or in storage for the occasional "I forgot to charge my batteries and now my ship is dead and I'm on a derelict!!!" Scenarios.
So it seems like you could set up a system to steal enough oxygen and nitrogen from a station to refill multiple tanks, and never have to buy either ever again. Also if you harvest enough empty tanks from derelicts, you could just sell their own air back to them for profit.
Quick question: Seeing you accidentally pop a canister... would it be possible to to hook up an oxygen or nitrogen alarm to the O2 or N canisters so you could fill them off the station atmosphere and pirate full canisters that way? Or would you have to sit and monitor them while running the air pumps in reverse to fill your canisters? (because that seems annoying, but... if you're really struggling for $$$ one possible way to reduce your overhead)
I suppose its technically possible to reverse fill canisters off of KLEG, I've never tried it, but I am going to guess you'd make less money doing that because of how slow the process would be than the docking fees
I cracked when the Ship with a massive hole got named "Happy Conclusion"
Hahahaha
Better than Glory I guess
I do like the name of the ship. It's like a race horse's name
Indeed
I really enjoy this one, made me want to start a new play through, and watching on my second monitor while my guy autotasks :)
Thanks for watching!
Oh yeah! I'm saving this after the kid goes to sleep so I can fully enjoy it!
Woo!

Did CO2 build up in your cabin or something?
Just an fyi, it is possible to rotate your ship orientation. It's through the debug menu though so not super user friendly.
Aye yup, have used debug menu, would like not to on stream
@Rhadamant yeah, recommend people avoid unless they know what they are doing.

Yeah I realize this later on in the series
This is the second game in as many days that your series have got me to buy. Last was Mind over Magic. Good stuff. Now to see if I can figure this game out. Why did the Nitrogen cannister rupture? Too low on repair?
If you leave the pump going to for so long that the canister exceeds 100% capacity it pops.
I made it pop accidentally.
Hauling O2 gas which is very good oxidizer the CO2 would make for a wonderful fire suppression system I would think.
That's already in the game in fact, fire extinguishers exist in game and they're just pressurized CO2 canisters
This is a cool series. I like the new ship. Hope there is time to make it pretty and well outfitted.
But yeah cool stuff.
We'll see =]

The day is broken up into 4 shifts and a mandatory 21 minute break and I owe mortgage at the end of every shift
The CO2 pump might be there for Fire Supesion. Last thing you want off a ship full of gas is sparks.
It was there in reverse to pull CO2 out of the ship

why was the station upside down?
Airlock position and size, I docked at another port

The battery has a symbol on the outside of it when you are installing it...put that symbol on your power grid

You can kill KLEG that way, so a pretty terrible idea unless you want to end your game
Did you dock to a different spot at KLEG? It looks upside down.
Yes, new ship, new docking spot

@@Rhadamant Oooh, the docking fees are time based. Yeah, that'd make a bit of a niche application... especially if gases are relatively inexpensive.
is it possible to combine 2 ships into 1?
You can completely cannibalize one ship and add it to another but merging isn't possible
You cannot truly merge...but you can tow ships with a tow brace
@@johnny_hammer Yes that too, but again, that's not merging either
Very cool process of switching ships, but it was pretty disorienting when KLEG flipped completely 180😅
Yes 100% confusing at first
How did you flip the screen around?
Do what now
I need more!!
More is coming
Would trash be good to sell at the second station you visited since they use it to produce goods?
Uhh I mean they buy it for like 0.02 USD?
Can you sell frosty first before your strip the ship part from it?, when you sell frosty it gone from the map?
When you sell a ship, its gone. I am not sure what you are asking in the first question, however.
First 👍
