I know it the front shocks are awful. Probably the worst out the box shocks I’ve ever used. I have the preload all the way down on the spring and there’s still no rebound. It slaps at any height jump, and will scrape the front under any hard braking. And pitches you to either the right or left depending on which side touches the ground. Plus you dog leg the rear inner wheel on most turns. I think I’m going to try to swap to the Mojave shocks on my Maxx slash. The rears are ok. But the springs front and rear are actually too short that come on the Maxx Slash. You cannot run without at least a good 1/3-1/2” of preload or the springs do not make contact with the adjuster. The shocks are too short so they put extensions in the rear instead of the proper shocks because they wanted to reuse as many parts as possible in this thing. I’m disappointed that I need to spend another 100$ bare minimum to get this to run the way it should out the box. I called Traxxas to tell them how bad they are and the issues I’m having and was told they’re designed to do this. And that I don’t know how to run the car. That it’s setup perfect out of the box, he’s driven one twice. My skid between the lower front arms is already beat to hell after 2 days and 4-5 battery packs. You also need to run this on 6s. It’s a dog on 4s. Is basically a BL 2s. The servo is slow af on 4s compared to 6s. Completely plastic servo, case and gears. This thing needs sway bars badly. It handles worse than a HCG slash. And only really handles well on loose ground or it tips way too easy. This thing is too much money for what’s included. Hell, the Mojave 6s aluminum parts and upgraded bits it comes with right out the box, would cost you an extra 480$ just to add to the Maxx Slash to make it similar to what you get on the Arrma. The Mojave 6s has 2+ inches more of suspension travel on basically same sized short course truck. The Maxx Slash doesn’t really do anything well out the box. My slash vxl HCG with some upgrades on it will out race, out jump, and out handle my Maxx Slash all day
Yeah I really want to like the car but you see the problem exactly right the Mojave has a Bomb suspension setup able to mimic a trophy truck but these need a good bit more down travel it seems
I think these are like a 1/6th scale or so. But I’ll tell you it flys about the same as a 1/10th. Maybe a bit better but not my much. Like the slash 4x4 And Maxx. This truck is super tough and is an amazing basher. Maybe even a racer. Going to try and figure out the shocks in the front. They are not the best out Of the box they way they are set up. In my opinion. Hopefully that’ll help the handling while jumping.

Epic video brother!!! Maxx Slash slayed it out there!!!💪🔥🔥⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thanks brother!!!! I appreciate the good words. Woot woot brother man
Yea I'm not a fan of the shock's that come on the Maxx slash and they got even worse after I put the widemaxx kit on it.
nice! Does the thicker Maxx body slow it down? Do you think its worth it?
thank you!! Definitely worth it 1000%
Looking for a battery strap solution for bigger batteries. If you come up with something that would be great
Hey bud… I’ve actually got them
On my
Website in the Maxx section. They do fit the Maxx
Slash perfect

What track is that?
this is in Orting washington at the skate park
Where is that losi and kraton 8s.
Smh 🤦♂️ traxxas… anyway brother I’m glad you like them so much. I’m glad they work out for you.
This exactly why I don't like 1/10 scale trucks you cannot land jumps .xmaxx xrt 1/5 scales are the best
