It's just that He isn't expressing it . He got the closure from Herself in jubilation. He still had hope in jubilation even though he had feelings for marinette by then. He can never unlove Her. Oh how, I wish to see the outcome if only ladybug talked about her feelings in jubilation with him. Everything would have flipped. But actually, ladynoir doesn't need love letters, confessions, roses to be the principle ship of the show. Because, their wishes in their civilian shelves differ from when they are superheroes. For ex- in Sandboy, Adrien and Marinette's nightmare was different than when they were ladybug and chat noir. Similarly, in Representation, chat got the nightmare he was scared of. Scared of hurting everyone of Paris as a superhero, especially hurting his lady and loosing her. Recall the moment in Derision, when Adrien told marinette ‘ I am scared of hurting you, scared of loosing you’ so wouldn't it make sense if Marinette was in his arms rather than ladybug?? Well, you see, the love between ladynoir whether they express it or not will always be more than in Adrienette because of the Ying and yang energies being stronger and more active in their superhero shelves No matter what, His lady is still the sun in His darkest nights. Ladynoir doesn't need roses, love letters or confessions, them caring for each other, hanging out on rooftops, watching sunsets are what makes them lovers. Adrien is supposed to be this calm , collective, perfect and focused individual just like tikki . On the other hand, Marinette's shadow side is being a disaster, being clumsy and in short, being unlucky at most things while, they are the total opposites of their shadow shelves. That's why, Marinette got the Ladybug earrings as She is yang. She already got yin inside Her (destructive energy) and she has to convert that to creative and stable energy through her Ladybug persona while chat got the black cat ring as he needs to accept his true inner self . He needs the light from his sun (Ladybug) and it is Ladybug not Marinette at that point because Ladybug and Marinette weren't balanced at first like they are now . Both Adrien and Marinette are supposed to balance their inner masculine and feminine before falling completely in love with each other. Broken unhealed and chaotic souls when come together bring Chaos while complete healed souls bring life. That's how the miraculous plays the most vital role in their lives. That's why folks, Self-love and healing is always the top priority.
