I’m in the industry and the only reason the US figure is so low is because the US can’t use more of it, cant store it, and NatGas is difficult and expensive to transport overseas. The US could easily produce $2t per year of NatGas if there was a use for it. Get used to it. The US is the Saudi of NatGas and has more known reserves than the rest of the world combined.
