I couldn't disagree more. When planes are up, AAA is a great support asset. They aren't fun or engaging to me really at all, unless you play the really shite ones and dunk on bad pilots. I like the M163 a little bit because of the meme, really. I just get bored really easily in mobile anti-air, even if I drop 3 or 4 planes in a row.
Least rewarding, most annoying experience IMO. If I use AA as a late game spawn, there's either absolutely nothing in the air or so many planes that when I try to focus on one, another kills me. If I use it as a first spawn, I either sit in spawn and wait for a plane to spawn, which I then kill, which makes the entire enemy team refuse to spawn in a plane since they know there's AA waiting for them, or I try to flank and side shoot, and encounter one of the few tanks at my br that I can't pen from the side, and die. The few games where I actually get a lot of kills with AA get me about as much SL and RP as a game where I get one assist and then die uselessly with a tank.
If it wasn't possible to rush a cap with a tier 1 vehicle J out and get in a plane capable of killing 4-6 tanks I never would have had a problem with CAS
I don't think it's impossible to balance although with gaijin it probably will never happen, I mean it took them 8-9 months to raise the brof the IS-6... and the ru251 is still a 6.7 wtf is gaijin smoking

Luckily there's at least some planes still up usually, but no more crazy 5+ kill games with SPAA fighting off the spam

Once you get good enough to shoot at some distances it becomes even more fun and satisfying.

You can't tell me that a plane getting decimated by a 37mm is not an extremely satisfying sight, especially when it happens at a distance of a kilometer and a half.
You get my like for this one Orange, absolutely love the Doom soundtrack, and love seeing people do well in SPAA. Now I just wish I was as good with it (M19 and M42 in particular, can't hit shit with either of those.)

I like shooting down planes with spaa but it seems like every time i spawn one there are no planes up. Also I need to practice my leading, most of my kills are from when a plane is diving on me or a teammate and i shoot them in the face. You make this look easy Orange.
honestly, i did not enjoy "normal" kills, but those snipes, short burst, cannon shots were godlike :) :) still missing some of glorious shots from streams, but that I think is due to Shadowplay f*cking up, if I am not mistaken.

Holy crap that view from the Shilka is ridiculous. You may want to try switching to gunners sight view. You'll retain a clearer picture of your target while vomiting rounds. It's easy to compensate for displacement of the viewpoint.
Only 1 Wirbelwind kill... that’s shocking to me, but I use it as a tank killer since most of what it sees it can pen and kill (with the AP belts anyway)
