Violence is "addressed" in school and prison. It's the administration of both that doesn't do anything. Their hands are tied concerning what they can and can't do. If they do the wrong thing, they'll be labeled as racist or homophobic and then won't get funding or be fired or sued.

Hilarious none of the teachers want to get involved, but you gotta wonder how some of them feel when the victim shows up with a gun, and starts shooting everyone.

Regardless of which side you are on the whole LGBTQ issue, a human being lost their life, and it appears the school authorities are trying to sweep it under the rug. The responsible parties need to be brought to justice and lawsuits against the school filed. Just another reason homeschooling has become increasingly common in the last decade. The whole "zero tolerance policy for bullying/harassment " is one big lie, because my high school in the early 2000s had the same "policy " and a small group of students were out of control and the most severe consequences were usually a chit chat with the principal and occasionally an after school detention.

the problem is most schools do not want to have cops poking around, the more poking around the cop does, the more a investigation will get started.
theres a reason why "school resource officers" are called that, its so they look separated from the real law enforcement and they act as a separate entity too. the main thing is the SRO is only a extension to the schools own corruption, often times its just a department throwing some "problematic" cops into being SROs. i imagine there is plenty of encounters with SROs and parents questioning the school itself that either end poorly, and go under the radar for a long time, or the parents themselves fight out it and the judge issues a non-release order, that acts like a NDA.

Owasso High School has a bullying and hate problem. But of course schools rarely stop the bullies because usually the bullies parents are "somebody" within the community. It's always the same kids from elementary school all the way up to high school. Administration know it, the teachers know it and the parents know. I read it was 3 on 1 and I don't care if it wasn't the fight, those 3 girls should be held accountable and EXPELLED!

Actually it was Benedict and her three friends and the three younger girls in the bathroom. All were suspended by the school.

So if the parents did not know the preferred name of their child. That means that the school was keeping vital information away from parents.

Not trauma?! Even if the student had a medical condition, it was brought on by the fight!

They need to get an independent investigation. I don’t believe for a second the death is not connected to the fight. Three bullies inflicted this injury and should be arrested asap.

People who see themselves as victims or play the victim bully others...when others fight back they are labeled bullies...this happens all the time these days...wake up people...all these kids are/were victims.
