It is seen too often that reporters are sounding alarm and evacuation, and then they stay to get good footage. When somebody gets killed, it is their own fault.

I was planning on relocating to Tampa Florida, but due to hurricanes I decided to relocate to North Carolina.

Lived and served in Law Enforcement in Manatee County. When your told to evacuate out, you go. Once winds break 45mph, public safety and services will not respond. We used to carry toe tags for people who didn't want to mandatory evacuate.. so if they were "found", we could positively ID them. They usually got the message once realization set in. It's usually tourists who don't heed the warnings. Hope everyone is safe or at shelters.
