2024 anybody? 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
The whole Dysfunction Album CD is still in my car and listen to it often 🤘
Still Alive
hell yea
Yepppp
So much better than let’s go fishing hahahahah this guy turned into every other old man
RIP Jon Wysocki (January 17, 1971 - May 18, 2024), aged 53
You will be remembered as a legend.
Rest in peace, Jon.
Rest in peace, Jon Wysocki. 🖤
Y'all asking if still listening in 2024, the real question is how many of y'all OG's in your 30's still listening to Staind?!
Brooooooooo, I just turned 40.
40’s.
I'm 45 still listening 😊
47 and still rocking it. I was once a young man when this first "aired"!
- 60's!
*Song comes on*
My neck: Aw shit, here we go again!
This comment is fire!
@@verdawnms it's actually words, formed from letters and incapable of burning anything
Lee Son wow!! Thank you, i was almost decieved
Hahahhaha for real
Forever a workout song
This song has one of the coolest riffs ever written, absolute mastery of harmonics.
Duh bro that’s not a harmonica
Andy Nolfo can’t tell if this is bait or not lol
Nerdy Birdy 😂 you caught me. I was seeing what kind fury I could call down upon me
I figured it was a pedal effect or something....its right there but I just cant think of the name of the effect....that would be hard as hell too scale up and down while doing harmonics like that
I met him and sat front row at a show his vocals are unbelievably good
Who's still moshing to this in 24'?
Don't be sad because this era ended, be happy because you can listen toi this song on the internet as much as you want.
Internet.. were your orginial cd or vinyl
This is one of those songs that must be absolutely blasted at full volume.... no exceptions!!
Take it from Chris Taylor folks
Hell yeah... it's an unwritten rule..
Definitely should have the volume up high
And when it's over, then, wonder what happened to the rest of the songs they wrote. I was so disappointed with the band.
Good band but the sound went totally in the opposite direction of what I expected.
Where is the lie
This song is STILL the jam. 1999 stand up.
this is 2020 fool
*raises the roof*
@@jeremybraun5475 r/whoosh 🤣🤣
The 1996 version aka the real version of this song will always be awesome!
I think this song came out in 1999
I'm 65 and I'm still rocking to Staind! One of the best bands ever!
Me too at 58 Big Time awesome band keep going
Rock on from Virginia
And here I am at 53 and still current with the new bands out now .. this music is just embedded deep into my brain !!! But to see your still jamming out to this shit at your age makes me feel a little normal cos all my friends thought i should have shifted my like for music towards country music cos it's progressing into a "mans" music ... Meaning that at a certain age I can't still be a rocker with long hair still listening to a "young man's music".. well I don't mind country but don't believe I need to change cos I grew older.. I mean I'm the type of person who still listens to FUCKEN SLAYER TO CALM ME DOWN !!! FUCK COUNTRY MUSIC !! IF IM 100 YRS OLD IM POSITIVE I WILL STILL BE CURRENT ON METAL MUSIC FOREVER !!! BECOUSE
LIKE BLACK SABBATH SAID...
I SOLD MY SOUL TO ROCK N ROLL!!!
BY THE WAY FUCKEN SLAYER IS BACK !!!!
67 in August me as well ❤
60 here and got tickets for their Sept 26th show in WPB!!!
I'm 17 and I wish music like this would last forever. I wish my generation would keep music like this going
Your generation is the worst thing ever, we are done as a society.
Same Dude. Would be amazing to live in the 90s. Our generation sucks hard.
@@marcellecram69 okay zoomer
I’m 52 and believe it, there’s tons of newer bands that are keeping it relevant. Check out Light The Torch, Coridian, Of Allies, Royal Blood, Dead Poet Society, The Black Moods, Janus, and To Whom It May…
We all do kid I grew up to this and I'm 26 so I'm not that old but I wish kid were brought up like us 90 kids
That initial bass line is amazing.
always has been! love it!
Lies again? Marine Soldier
Makes me want to play bass
The Offspring
Agree and whatevers going on in the chorus, both parts, I really love.
under fucking rated band.
+Ohio fish1 Sure there is.
amazing how they have such low views. they are amazing. I guess they are underated
+writethis23 Its cause he stopped his metal bands and went for country. Still an amazing band to never forget! #STAIND
under rated before they sold out to the radio
Low views probably due to the fact they are a 90s band. TH-cam wasn't around yet. Staind is 🔥
Best Staind song, period.
It really is.
Who else was an angry kid and loved this album 😂
Instead of being depressed when someone breaks up with you, sing Mudshovel
nope didn't work still depressed
Music is the cure
Nah, success is the best revenge. Go find a hotter chick, watch your ex flip. Turn them tables.
No way man, if blindsided by a break-up it means we're sleeping and stagnant. Use the time to do what you truly want to do, what you're good at, develop your talents --maybe others have been sucking the creative energy out of you. Focus on becoming your best. That is the best revenge!!! And it lasts!
Monik A Tashjian So Profound.I totally Concur.
I'm 42 and thiS came out late ninetys. It's real impressive how this generation of music has lasted. I'm not surprised. This was a huge influence being in bands since high school. This was the shit beyond all that rappy metal. Which I loved too. Limp, korn, snot, sevendust, cold, tool, staind, dry kill logic, system, mudvayane, early slipknot, . You younger peeps, it's cool y'all dig all this. This killed the grunge movement which was in high school. Which was great. But this generation was pissed and having great radio play. It was a great time.
I grew up on nirvan my uncle gave me nevermind and that is what got me started then a friend got me started on nu metal and I still listen to both at 35
Dry kill logic! Darker side of nonsense! Holy hell!
good times indeed , like in the times Queen of the Damned came out the epitome of nu metal era , cheers !
Paul Cook I’m from Brazil, I’m 27 and grew listening to heavymetal, grunge, nu metal, my kids are 2 and 5 years old and like it too... trying to keep ‘em away from this shit called brazilian funk
Fuck off
ICONIC bassline
Rest in power Jon 🤘🏻🕊️
this bass is amazing
this bass is the easiest.. well.. a lot of bass in staind is very easy. usually 3 or 4 chords repeating.
***** omg lol so true
Obviously you've never heard Mudvayne, then. XD
i love me some mudvayne
***** same here
R.I.P. Jon
Jon will never be forgotten. Legend 🔥
Sad news RIP Jon 🕯
RIP Jon Wysocki
Damn, finding Deftones by accident on pandora as a teenager really opened up a rabbit hole of good music for me. I love all sorts of genres of music but something about nu metal just hits different.
There's something funny about listening to Staind for the first time in 2021 too lol
Jam this shit in the car with 10 inch speakers like 2 of them...or one ha . Six by 9s bad ass.. don't kill anyone. Then jam Pantera more bass added
@@jeremygrisham8926 fuck yeah pantera
Welcome to thunderdome bitch. 😉
Seen the tones 7 times
the same w me dude, but i accidentally found them on spotify
Who would’ve known when this song was released the lead singer would go on to be a country singer
Staind, yeah, I remember going to a show in the 90's and Fred Durst introduced this band when no one had heard of them. Damn, it was an honor.
Legendary
Big limp lol
Saw Staind live 4 my B'Day @9:30 Club w/Sevendust, "Skin"(Skunk Anansie), Powerman 5000. Great show. Great times ;-)
I saw them just before they hit big...they opened for Limp Bizkit and korn...they played 3 korn songs...after that they blew the hell up
@@bigmike9546 you think limp is a bad lol
Never gets old...Hating my ex that is.

I'm bitter and cordial about it.
Luis O did she rip you apart w/ the grown up things she says? 🤔
this song was written for my ex wife.
Try dry kill logics darkerside of nonsense
If only bands like this just got a bit more recognition, maybe nu-metal wouldn't be hated as much.
Staind has plenty of recognition. Several #1 albums, Grammy awards and nominations and platinum records.
+s695579 these guys are part of the reason nu-metal is hated... because it's almost all shit
Yeah but you got to admit this song by staind is actually pretty good
Ppl hate new metal cuz of staind because they suck but this song is actually good... Oh yeah three days grace is a failure because Adam G left
+Ohio fish1 system of a Down and Korn ARE nu-metal
I had no idea Staind had this in them. Most metal they've ever sounded
They started off like this, but as time went on, they mellowed quite a bit.
Listen to price to play
The thing I really like about Staind is that you can hear Aaron's progress through depression. He struggled for a long time, and you can hear it in his voice. I think music helped him way more than drugs ever could.
That was something I really appreciated about Aaron Lewis. Listening to his progression through seriously dark times to getting better. The worst part of it, people hated him for it because they wanted to wallow in their own self pity.
HEY! Viagra helped me through depression! 😂😂😂 For real!
@theonlyculprit You hit it right on the head man. Aaron Lewis really struggled tremendously with depression and needed more than a family/friend outlet to reach out to. Music channels his inner feelings out and resonates a pathway for him to remain off of negative influences. Very solid, reflective comment dude. As a fellow Staind fan and metal head, you’re a great person 🤘🏼👍🏼
You know a song is BADASS when it came out 20+ years ago... Realeased on TH-cam 13 yrs ago... and has 2 DAY OLD COMMENTS! LES GOOOO! 💪🏾👆🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
You take away
I feel the same
You take away
I feel the same
All the promises you made to me you made in vain
I lost myself inside your tainted smile again
'Cause you can't feel my anger
You can't feel my pain
You can't feel my torment
Driving me insane
I can't fight these feelings they will bring you pain
You can't take away
Make me whole again
I feel betrayed
Stuck in your ways
And you rip me apart
With the brutal things you say
I can't deal with this shit anymore
I just look away
'Cause you can't feel my anger
You can't feel my pain
You can't feel my torment
Driving me insane
I can't fight these feelings they bring only pain
You can't take away
Make me whole again
You take away
I feel the same
All these promises
You promised only pain
If you take away
And leave me with nothing again
'Cause you can't feel my anger
You can't feel my pain
You can't feel my torment
Driving me insane
I can't fight these feelings they will bring you pain
You can't take away
Make me whole again
You will feel my anger
You will feel my pain
You will feel my torment
Driving you insane
I can't fight these feelings they will bring you pain
You won't take away
I'll be whole again
Thank u I felt that part

Rest in peace Jon. His father taught in my high school.
His name was actually Jon, but I know your intentions are good.
What happened? I have not heard of this. I just came on here randomly wanting to hear a classic song from my youth.
Baseline intro is so good
Man, 1999 called....
Good to hear from you ol' buddy!
It numbs the scars when they flare up.
That's why I'm here.
Damn. RIP Jon Wysocki
I need my old STAIND back
Not gonna happen... he doesn't have the energy to put out shit like this again
Unfortunately
I'm proud to say that this is what rock music was when I was growing up. I feel sorry for the kids nowadays. Luckily they don't even realize their loss.
There's so many incredible rock/metal bands that have popped up recently. And I'm 24 and quite nostalgic myself, it just irks me when people say stuff like this. Sure mainstream music nowadays sucks, but then again it always has. If you let the radio and record companies dictate your playlist, you're gonna have a bad time. To name a few of those relatively new bands, Glass Cloud, Bring Me The Horizon, Unleash The Archers, Avenged Sevenfold, Nekrogoblicon, Upon A Burning Body, Gloryhammer, Devildriver, "Ready, Set, Fall!", Seventh Wonder, Volbeat, etc.
There's lots of great music out there. You just have to look for it.
Valtiel1605 I have heard of a good chunk of those bands and I don't like them. And you can't say that I am biased because I loved Coal Chamber a lot but dislike DevilDriver. Bring me The Horizon, Avenged Sevenfold, Ready Set fail are part of the crap that exist today in my opinion. Volbeat is okay but I still don't really care too much for them. I'll have to check the other bands out that you mentioned.
Blake Blackstone Coal Chamber and Devildriver are the best of the metal by faaar :)
Valtiel1605 I agree with Avenged Sevenfold, I don't like BMTH, and I've never heard of those other bands you just listed.
I think you might like what Of Mice and Men is doing now.
Rip John ❤️🤘🏽
This song helps the itch ❤
When music was still music we liked...
*cries in Machine Gun Kelly is kinda cool*
RIP Jon Wysocki... :(
Just seen korn and staind, they ended their set with this absolute banger. What a damn good show ♥️
I just saw those two last night. The show was killer!

Idk. My favorite Staind song is "For You" but this song is equally amazing.
Sylar Barnes-Laufeyson-Rogers I don't recall that song I will have to give it listen.
Some hot dude in some class I was in back in early 2000s told me to listen to this band, so this was the first song I heard...from Limewire lol. Such an awesome band.
damn I remember lime wire than frost wire lol I used to get all my shit there
+Sheldon Cooper i got music videos from there. Then all it had were covers or live versions of the songs.
Dee Liteful Limewire and Kazaa!
Damian DeBord Wasn't there another one with a bear as its logo? Bearwire maybe? Lol I can't remember
Dee Liteful Indeed there was and you might be right on the name but my memory isn't all that great either lol. Kazaa was my first and then It was the computer STD ridden Limewire but zero fucks were given just give me muh music!
This song + video is a masterpiece

We accept you with open arms.
@@spiritualdilemma1364 like creed. LOL
Same, I actually had to go out my way to find this type of genre because nowadays mainstream music is kind of boring. Like idk if its me but its like new music is made just for monetization to where for some songs the purpose seems desensitized and disingenuous almost. Overall I got sick of hearing people make songs flexing money, women, and violence.

Who is listening in 2021?
A fu**ng brutal song!!!
Love this song!! 2024!!
Everything that this band created was gold
Going through a breakup rn. This song has been helping me get through it. Thank you staind 👍🏻
My daughter kicked like hell when this song played and her late father's band practices... Gotta love the power of this song / the music!! I LOVE this song & forever will!! :) *she definitely as a young adult now, still has appreciation & likes...
I hope by now the pain has eased up some buddy. My man of 17 years walked out on me 3 yrs ago & I still feel the raw anguish at times. You ever need to vent, hit me back. I have alot of time on my hands & am a Psychology major (not your average therapy type tho - I'm fucked up just like everyone else - been in mosh pits, almost got trampled @ Disturbed concert now that I think about it - maybe I AM A TAD disturbed myself LMAO)! Really hope you're doing better, Heavy keep rocking music will ALWAYS be there for ya!!!
I've gone through a fair share of betrayal in my life. This song perfectly encapsulates the rage inside my heart. It has helped me to vent it and start the healing process. Everyday is a battle. But I'm not sinking. Not for them. Stay hard, live long, and rock on.
