There's also the answer to which of his parents called him during one of the minisodes : it was obviously Quincy, since Lynri is long gone. Also the reason he needs Faye to help him in his project : since she's basically an imaginary friend, a mental creation of someone's subconscious, she can act as an omnipotent assistant within the machine to help all those who have their data stored in it fulfill their wishes. It's such an amazing game. I think it was totally worth the wait and delays when you see the massive improvements in animations and graphic design. I love it.
What makes Kan Gao's games amazing are that I am able to relate my life to the story. I may not be too attached to To the Moon because I cannot relate Johnny and River's story. Finding Paradise was an emotional train wreck because I was questioning every choices I made in my life, and the game tell me to life without regrets. And this, this one also hit me hard because I am a mother right now, and I can understand that a child is the whole world for their parents. And seeing your gameplay from the begining to the end even makes it more emotional. Thank you so much for presenting it. So glad to have found this channel 😭

After the beach episode, 4:48:10 hits me like a frieght container. Love it when a game makes you feel even more after the first playthrough. Sometimes the ending can be as important as the long journey itself huh?
Rewatching the to the moon series has so much value. You can usually find meaning in some of the most "random" scenes. Like that one scene in the perfect timeline when eva and neil were baking with lynri and quincy. I guess they were just showing that eva had a bun in the oven. This might have been obvious for other people but i only noticed it today.
The reason why the YH Foundation rejected Neil was left rather ambiguous. Were they trying to keep him from his mother’s last memories due a conflict of interests and the possibility of his untimely death on their hands? Nevertheless, Lynri’s choice…it’s truly complex and has no right answer, with many possible outcomes. Her love is real, but it’s like she was doomed to misery one way or another. Quincy and Neil couldn’t fix all of her problems, despite the love they have for her. It’s sad to think about, because we already know Neil will inevitably suffer the same fate in reality.

Gotta say, while Imposer factory didnt hit as hard as the others for myself, it still HIT. Gao knows quite well how to hit you in the gutbwith an emotional impact. And the fact there are plans for still more? Bring it on!

I re-watch peoples reactions to this game fairly frequently, and I still love just how they sneak "The Bestests Detectives" into the soundtrack.
