oh my gosh, that part about girls not caring about a guys' looks is SO TRUE!!! i mean, for me personally, im a VERY sensitive and emotional person, so if a guy like makes me feel safe, if he shows that he cares, it doesn't matter what he looks like. it's more the personality, really. i have a crush on this guy that's been on my running team for a couple years less than i have and i remember when he first joined the team, he was really shy and i barely noticed him. then he started to kind of open up more and started expressing his personality and charm more. i also had like a dream with him in it that was what kind of sparked a curiosity for him. and after observing him, idk, i just really liked his personality. In case there is some random guy out there who stumbled across this video at a questionable time at night and is reading comments, I will list my answers, just in case you want to know :) 1. First thing I notice is posture! I don't mean if your stick straight, I mean, do you look focused on something, are you leaning towards someone, (me or someone else), are you relaxed, or tense? that kinda thing. 2. Yes, but I would say its only from bad experiences. If i'm around a guy I trust, its not something embarrassing, if its a guy I'm chatting to for the first time, yes, but again, that's from bad experiences. 3. That is not only situational, but imo, inaccurate :) 4. YES, bc that means I've probably bled through something I'm wearing, AND, like, I would get embarrassed if I bled from a cut on my leg or smth. It's the fact that I "ruined" smth of yours and you feel awkward in the situation, like I feel guilty for causing a problem. This is a fantastic opportunity to show a girl how much you care about and understand her if you can pull off the recovery well ;). 5. Not treating me like an equal / not listening to me / ignoring me. Ex: if we are in the just talking stage, and I mention that I really don't like being touched without being asked first, bc I've have creepy dudes in the past causing problems, that is NOT a good opportunity to pull me in closer. Basically, don't be an AH, and your probably good. 6.It depends, on the guy and the girl. It can be what Brooke said, or sometimes its bc having you stumble over your words and blush when you go in for a kiss is cute and gives butterflies. DEPENDS ON THE GIRL AND THE GUY 7. Another it depends. If you are so shy that the conversation feels one-sided, yeah, it is. Its hard to feel like your getting somewhere in a relationship if you feel like you are the one putting in most of the effort, even if the guy is trying SO HARD just to send a text and we can't see that. That being said, a lil shy is good. Personally, I'm a sucker for cute and awkward guys, as mentioned previously, NOTHING is cuter to me than a guy trying to genuinely to show me that he cares and fumbling just a teenie bit. Like when we lock eyes and you stumble a little over your words, or you drop something, or keep adjusting your hair or glasses or smth. It just makes it feel really real and genuine. 8. Depends...whoever asked the other out should at least offer, I'm all for splitting the bill, but some girls will totally take it as a sign if you don't pay. When in doubt, offer, but don't force it. Make it easy for me to tell you what I want, and then listen. 9. Depends on the girl, for me, not really, as long as I'm not getting a neck cramp looking at you, either looking up or down. And even then, if you have a good personality, i don't really care. 10: YES YES YES . . . as long as it isn't creepy. Tell me what you feel, just stay away from spending more than a sentence or two describing my body, unless the girl is getting into it. Also, read the room, if I'm answering back and clearly into it, keep going, if i'm just saying "oh", and looking at a door, maybe slow down a bit. 11. No, no we do not. 9 times out of 10, if someone catches feelings, its the guy. I'm a 100% believer in guy-girl platonic relationships, as someone who has about a 50/50 split of gender friends. My recommendation: wait until the feelings are real, not her rocking up in some short shorts and you suddenly deciding your into her, I mean, don't wait like a year, but make sure the feelings are real, not just a rebound or your brain playing tricks. If they are real, then say something (depends on the girl if you wanna do this / how to go about this) its not a bad idea to TEXT something along the lines of "hey, listen, ik ur in a relationship rn, so i really don't wanna be that guy. I just wanna let you know, that i'm starting to catch feelings for you. I don't wanna cause a problem, or be that guy, or make you feel uncomfortable. I think it might be best if we cool of the friendship for a bit, and maybe reconnect once i've had some time to just kinda get myself together if u know what I mean... I'm sorry, I don't wanna come off as creepy, I just think you deserve to know why I might be a bit more distant with you lately" Again, read the room, and this is VERY dependent on the girl. 12. Again, very dependent on the girl, but see if she treats you differently. Does she flirt with every guy she sees just a little bit, but is kinda awkward around you? Or is it the opposite. Does she make eye contact with you alot, but stares at the floor around everyone else, or is it the opposite. Be careful here, bc some of these might be her subtly disliking you, but just compare how she acts with you, and a guy you know for SURE she doesn't like, and look at the differences. 13. Another depends, but generally, looks matter for a first impression. If you can get past that, and have a good personality, then it probably doesn't matter that much. 14. another depends on the girl, sorry lol, but for me, its fine if its small, if it's a lot, than it could be a problem in the sense of I will worry a lot about your mental health. Also, I'm a big workout kinda girl, and I view being in shape in the same vein as showering and brushing your teeth, its just taking care of yourself, and a want a guy that is capable of taking care of himself, like I can take care of myself 15. Another depends on the girl, like they all have been. but for me, it doesn't matter, as long as it's not some ungodly high number that is like 10+ girls a year, bc that would be a bit of a red flag lol 16. TORTURE!!!!!!! Mine are terrible. The pain will be so bad I have to lay on the bathroom floor bc the pain is making me throw up, and its too hard to sit up. It feels like someone tied knives to the inside of a belt and is progressively tightening it around my waist. also, the mood swings are terrible. I hate feeling like I can't control my own mind. 17. Tf I know..I hate it personally. I don't have to pee, I want to breathe and be alone for a second before putting my extrovert face back on. Please don't join me. The only time I want a group is if I'm feeling unsafe, but I'll probably say something like "hey, idk the vibes here just kinda feel off to me, can someone run to the bathroom with me, I don't wanna walk alone", or alternatively, i'm on my period, think I bled through my pants and want someone to check me, and i don't think I can do it here without being obvious. 18. show you effing care. again, WITHOUT BEING CREEPY, if i text you saying my birthday is on the 2nd, put that in your calendar, and text me that morning to say happy birthday. If I don't seem like myself, ask me if I'm doing ok (be careful with this one, don't accidentally trigger a rage about how a girl "isn't wearing makeup today" or "Just doesn't feel like putting on a smile for everyone"), compliment me on something non-sexually, and you can turn it into a flirt if she is leaning into it (AND you know shes kinda into u), listen to me if I rant, just kind of show up and be there for me. Let me see the real you, put me on a discord call while you game and share your screen so I can watch. Text me saying you had some free time and felt like talking to me. If we are in person, just kind of focus on me, and make me feel included in the conversation. Make me feel special, no matter what stage of the relationship we are in. What that looks like in the "just talking phase" and the "spending the night at your place" phase are going to be very different, but the vibe and intentions should be the same. Anyways, I have no idea if this paragraph will be helpful to anyone, but if it is, ur welcome lol. In case there is some random guy out there who stumbled across this video at a questionable time at night and is reading comments, I will list my answers, just in case you want to know :)
1. First thing I notice is posture! I don't mean if your stick straight, I mean, do you look focused on something, are you leaning towards someone, (me or someone else), are you relaxed, or tense? that kinda thing.
2. Yes, but I would say its only from bad experiences. If i'm around a guy I trust, its not something embarrassing, if its a guy I'm chatting to for the first time, yes, but again, that's from bad experiences.
3. That is not only situational, but imo, inaccurate :)
4. YES, bc that means I've probably bled through something I'm wearing, AND, like, I would get embarrassed if I bled from a cut on my leg or smth. It's the fact that I "ruined" smth of yours and you feel awkward in the situation, like I feel guilty for causing a problem. This is a fantastic opportunity to show a girl how much you care about and understand her if you can pull off the recovery well ;).
5. Not treating me like an equal / not listening to me / ignoring me. Ex: if we are in the just talking stage, and I mention that I really don't like being touched without being asked first, bc I've have creepy dudes in the past causing problems, that is NOT a good opportunity to pull me in closer. Basically, don't be an AH, and your probably good.
6.It depends, on the guy and the girl. It can be what Brooke said, or sometimes its bc having you stumble over your words and blush when you go in for a kiss is cute and gives butterflies. DEPENDS ON THE GIRL AND THE GUY
7. Another it depends. If you are so shy that the conversation feels one-sided, yeah, it is. Its hard to feel like your getting somewhere in a relationship if you feel like you are the one putting in most of the effort, even if the guy is trying SO HARD just to send a text and we can't see that. That being said, a lil shy is good. Personally, I'm a sucker for cute and awkward guys, as mentioned previously, NOTHING is cuter to me than a guy trying to genuinely to show me that he cares and fumbling just a teenie bit. Like when we lock eyes and you stumble a little over your words, or you drop something, or keep adjusting your hair or glasses or smth. It just makes it feel really real and genuine.
8. Depends...whoever asked the other out should at least offer, I'm all for splitting the bill, but some girls will totally take it as a sign if you don't pay. When in doubt, offer, but don't force it. Make it easy for me to tell you what I want, and then listen.
9. Depends on the girl, for me, not really, as long as I'm not getting a neck cramp looking at you, either looking up or down. And even then, if you have a good personality, i don't really care.
10: YES YES YES . . . as long as it isn't creepy. Tell me what you feel, just stay away from spending more than a sentence or two describing my body, unless the girl is getting into it. Also, read the room, if I'm answering back and clearly into it, keep going, if i'm just saying "oh", and looking at a door, maybe slow down a bit.
11. No, no we do not. 9 times out of 10, if someone catches feelings, its the guy. I'm a 100% believer in guy-girl platonic relationships, as someone who has about a 50/50 split of gender friends. My recommendation: wait until the feelings are real, not her rocking up in some short shorts and you suddenly deciding your into her, I mean, don't wait like a year, but make sure the feelings are real, not just a rebound or your brain playing tricks. If they are real, then say something (depends on the girl if you wanna do this / how to go about this) its not a bad idea to TEXT something along the lines of "hey, listen, ik ur in a relationship rn, so i really don't wanna be that guy. I just wanna let you know, that i'm starting to catch feelings for you. I don't wanna cause a problem, or be that guy, or make you feel uncomfortable. I think it might be best if we cool of the friendship for a bit, and maybe reconnect once i've had some time to just kinda get myself together if u know what I mean... I'm sorry, I don't wanna come off as creepy, I just think you deserve to know why I might be a bit more distant with you lately" Again, read the room, and this is VERY dependent on the girl.
12. Again, very dependent on the girl, but see if she treats you differently. Does she flirt with every guy she sees just a little bit, but is kinda awkward around you? Or is it the opposite. Does she make eye contact with you alot, but stares at the floor around everyone else, or is it the opposite. Be careful here, bc some of these might be her subtly disliking you, but just compare how she acts with you, and a guy you know for SURE she doesn't like, and look at the differences.
13. Another depends, but generally, looks matter for a first impression. If you can get past that, and have a good personality, then it probably doesn't matter that much.
14. another depends on the girl, sorry lol, but for me, its fine if its small, if it's a lot, than it could be a problem in the sense of I will worry a lot about your mental health. Also, I'm a big workout kinda girl, and I view being in shape in the same vein as showering and brushing your teeth, its just taking care of yourself, and a want a guy that is capable of taking care of himself, like I can take care of myself
15. Another depends on the girl, like they all have been. but for me, it doesn't matter, as long as it's not some ungodly high number that is like 10+ girls a year, bc that would be a bit of a red flag lol
16. TORTURE!!!!!!! Mine are terrible. The pain will be so bad I have to lay on the bathroom floor bc the pain is making me throw up, and its too hard to sit up. It feels like someone tied knives to the inside of a belt and is progressively tightening it around my waist. also, the mood swings are terrible. I hate feeling like I can't control my own mind.
17. Tf I know..I hate it personally. I don't have to pee, I want to breathe and be alone for a second before putting my extrovert face back on. Please don't join me. The only time I want a group is if I'm feeling unsafe, but I'll probably say something like "hey, idk the vibes here just kinda feel off to me, can someone run to the bathroom with me, I don't wanna walk alone", or alternatively, i'm on my period, think I bled through my pants and want someone to check me, and i don't think I can do it here without being obvious.
18. show you effing care. again, WITHOUT BEING CREEPY, if i text you saying my birthday is on the 2nd, put that in your calendar, and text me that morning to say happy birthday. If I don't seem like myself, ask me if I'm doing ok (be careful with this one, don't accidentally trigger a rage about how a girl "isn't wearing makeup today" or "Just doesn't feel like putting on a smile for everyone"), compliment me on something non-sexually, and you can turn it into a flirt if she is leaning into it (AND you know shes kinda into u), listen to me if I rant, just kind of show up and be there for me. Let me see the real you, put me on a discord call while you game and share your screen so I can watch. Text me saying you had some free time and felt like talking to me. If we are in person, just kind of focus on me, and make me feel included in the conversation. Make me feel special, no matter what stage of the relationship we are in. What that looks like in the "just talking phase" and the "spending the night at your place" phase are going to be very different, but the vibe and intentions should be the same.
Anyways, I have no idea if this paragraph will be helpful to anyone, but if it is, ur welcome lol. As a girl in a great relationship rn, I get how these kinds of things really help (at least they have helped me in the past), so I hope I can provide that to someone else.
