Every time I can find Kennedy's I always save the Bicentennial's. Not many banks by me have them. I got lucky last week and found a 40% silver Bicentennial at a local bank. Re-confirmed by weighing it after watching this video haha. Very cool vid, thanks for the upload!

I have several half dollar 1776 1976 and especially enjoy the coins made of silver. I want to have them graded because they are extremely well struck and satiny finished in the fields. I have a lot of these coins but it’s hard to see the errors. If i polish them and see a major error, will it be still valuable? Would it still be worthy to sell?

So I have a 1968 Kennedy half dollar that looks like it’s silver (when looking at the rim there is no bimetallic appearance like you see on non-silver coins, from my understanding) but it weighs only 11.14, whereas my other 68’s all weigh in at or near the 11.50 they’re supposed to be.
Also when looking at the lighter one, it’s noticeably thinner, yet all details on obverse and reverse are clear as day. In other words, the coin is in really great shape!
What are your thoughts on this?

I went to my bank and asked for a couple of rolls of half dollars which I thought nothing of. I found not 1 but 6 Bicentennial Halves. That's a decent return for $17. 😊 ! I'm going back in the morning 🎉
