I'm haven trouble pushing the buy button. I set my entry price, set my stop, then get scared out. Then the stock goes up just like I thought it would. Trying the morning dip buys, I need to build up my confidence.
Having the privilege of trying to survive while learning in these current bi polar markets has done nothing but help add more ammo to my trading arsenal ,regardless of how liquid or Volatile things are I’ve found that trying to be able to read between the lines of the bullish and bearish narratives being pushed while taking a step back has allowed me to stay close in momentum’s shadows so I could see more of my favorite setups.
I'm trying breakouts when it's over a million volume. I look at float rotation to determine if something may spike at open. I suck at dip buys but I try spikes after a double bottom.
I haven't made that many trades yet but I am keeping a trading journal with the pattern types, reasons for trade with entry and exits and sticking to two strategies. I am trading breakouts over premarket or previous day highs or panic dip buys. The biggest thing I have learned in only two months of trading is sticking to my plan and staying disciplined. Always cut losses quickly since I have had two bad trades that taught me the importance of cutting losses quickly and have two weeks of profitability with weeks of losses being very minimal. Thank you for all you do and I study as often as I can because your students success showcase the importance of it.
Ah I miss the illiquid pennies where I can limit buy the bid 20% down I the am and have my orders above the ask fill buy eod. Now I'm top.and bottom ticking the liquid spy intraday. NOT an easy task. The mean reversion trade is easier when mm long gamma in a bull market
Thanks Tim for all your help in my journey Im on in trading. Im a newby still learning and paper trading. I would not know anything about Penny Stocks at all if I would of never found you. I believe I will do ok when I take the leap soon and do real trading. Studying and understanding is important to me so I can get it right! CUT LOSSES QUICKLY..... I DO know that 💯🙂
Can you do a video on market makers, how they move the markets during option exp time frames etc...I just watched spy trade 2500 blocks on both sides for 10 hours straight to manipulate the option chains last week for the entire market...looks like 1 algo controlling the entire market

Use mental stops only unless you have a hard time cutting losses quickly than use mechanical stops

I haven't made many trades but I prefer over 1 million dollar volume. Many stocks with less liquidity behave strangely
I've only made a few swing trades haven't been able to do a day trade yet.
