    It's also helpful to think of the Do Ri Me scale.

      Hi Dave, If that helps you then that's great - anything that helps to understand the sounds we make is good. But, strictly speaking, Do Re Mi... are the Italian versions of C D E... so have the same problem as using the note names in English. Using numbers bypasses this in both of those situations though, so it's a useful idea to try out :)

    This is what I am looking for and it's really the most essential practice that no one tells me.
    I could play some music and read scores but I have never been confident. I was not able to find the reason but I think I finally found it.
    This essential ear training is the really matter to me!!!
