    Ho notato le due frasi idiomatiche che trattano d'acqua e come sembrano significare il contrario l'una dell'altra: ""essere in alto mare" e "perdersi in un bicchier d'acqua" - geniale!

    Ciao Lucrezia! Di tutte queste espressioni idiomatiche, nel mio Paese (Uruguay) abbiamo due esattamente uguali: "abbassare la cresta" e "cadere in piedi"; e altre due differenti ma con lo stesso significato. In vece di "lamentarsi del brodo grasso" noi diciamo "lamentarsi di pieno" e in vece di "perdersi " diciamo "annegarsi in un bicchiere d'acqua". È veramente ammirabile che due Paesi così distanti abbiano espressione tanto simili. Forse a causa di l'influenza di la emigrazione.

    Da noi invece di vedere le stelle, cadono le scintille. Ho sbattuto il piede contro la gamba del letto che mi cadevano le scintille dagli occhi. Essere in alto mare - avere una frana. Si usa quando hai troppi impegni e troppe cose da fare con un deadline vicino

    Brava. Mi piacciono questi video dei idiomi . Vedere le stelle. Si dice pure in inglese. Pero riferisce - almeno in America - esclusivamente alle situazione di aver fatto male alla testa. Come ricevere un botto sulla testa. Si direbbe
    ho visto le stelle”, o “I saw stars”.

    🤔 Bicchier without the final e does this still mean glass? Or is it just that the e gets dropped in pronunciation. Really enjoying your videos by the way.
