Hey it's me! This song was a tricky one, because Ghost jumps in and out of prog but don't have a lot of pure "prog" songs. So I toyed with this one for a while and finally just suggested so I'd quit thinking about it :)
Also this album is by far my favorite and their best composed one (imo), so I wanted you to hear the opener.
    Thanks!

@@deanwolfechannel They are top 5 live for me. I've seen them twice, and the last tour they did a 2 parter: first set was all their spooky, super old stuff. Then an intermission, then they came out with the newer 80s-rock style bangers and more fun. The lead guy has a great sense of humor you don't really know unless you watch interviews or live stuff.
We also had fundamental Christian protestors outside. I didn't talk to them, but I wanted to reassure them we were there for the gag and not actual Satanists. They might as well have protested a professional wrestling match.

@@WillFlowersWEF You were right to not bother. Chances are, they would have not listened to a word you had to say. When Christians-or followers of any inflexible belief system, really- are confronted with the very _idea_ of a contrary or critical viewpoint, even in jest or satire, many times their go-to response will be to put up a mental barrier and tell themselves that the person talking to them is either deluded or outright lying. There do exist educated, open-minded Christians that are secure in their faith while still being able to acknowledge and even understand other points of view- many Ghost fans are even Christians who just dig the music and see performance art for what it is: entertainment, nothing more- but unfortunately, they’re not nearly as loud and driven as the vocal minority of uneducated, judgmental, and hypocritical Bible-thumpers the likes of which you’ll see protesting Ghost shows or anime conventions. Last time I attended a local convention, there were a bunch of Evangelical protesters standing in a crowd by the entrance with signs depicting graphic images of dead, bloody babies, calling all the attendees coming in or out “whores and sinners,” presumably because they were in cosplay, some of which was skimpy or just “weird” by normal tastes? I really just don’t get it. I should get off the soapbox though. It’s just that I am so sick of willful ignorance. Ghost is such a great band for a ton of reasons, but what immediately endeared me to them was their sense of humor and their fearlessness to really dig in with the mockery of all the fears and absurdities of the sort of people that have shown me and many of the people I cherish very dearly a lifetime’s worth of ostracism and contempt.
On a less preachy note, I hope their shows this fall will have a similar set format to the shows you were talking about. I was there for that tour I think. Two acts, constant costume changes, plenty of representation from their entire catalogue… it was magnificent. Even if they still stick to a shorter set, I just hope Papa takes care of his voice. He blew it out pretty bad at Hellfest.

Ghost may not be the most ‘progressive’ by definition band but they have amazing songs regardless. Cirice is my all time favorite. I’ve seen Ghost live twice and they were both some of the best shows I’ve ever been to!

If you go here on TH-cam to their Marble Shrine channel they have been posting tons of classic live videos every day.

This is such a Moody Blues song, right down to a 3-5-6-6/4-5-4 lyric pattern Pindar and Thomas were fond of. It is my favorite Ghost song.
