I hope you're enjoying your laptop! I've tried to go Mac, but in the end I'm too cost-conscious, LOL. I bought the 15-inch silver model w/ the 256 GB SSD hard drive in April. Paying $2,012 for a laptop with such a small hard drive and no AppleCare *after* my student discount was applied bothered me so much that I took it back on the last day of the refund period. A few days later I bought an HP Omen 17.3" gaming laptop for $1,099 with specs that put the MacBook Pro to shame. I'm getting my M.S. in Computer Science and I needed a combination of processing power and hard drive space.
My recommendation is that you get adobe premiere pro, it's relitivly cheep and it's very easy to use in my opinion as try and get into animation and make an intro like I have, well not my current one, but my past one I made myself
